    nice video, at 33:25 is the formula for CO meant to be 'CO = SV x HR' instead of what you have written in square brackets? Thanks

    • @PhysiologyforStudents
      @PhysiologyforStudents  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Joel. The equations being referenced there are for Mean Arterial Pressure, one is the in-clinic calculation that can be done given blood pressure readings and one is conceptual based on cardiac output and peripheral resistance. Mean Arterial pressure takes into account cardiac output and peripheral resistance to determine what is actually being delivered to the tissues. Cardiac output is SV x HR as you have noted here, but MAP is a larger concept that includes not only how much blood is leaving the heart per minute, but how much actually gets to the tissues (after moving through the arteries). Does that answer your question?

    33:25. It should be SV X HR not CO X HR
