    I appreciate all of the time it took you to put together these 2 part review; I'm sure it took you a long time to do.
    Questions: (1) how are the payments from clients to you (the seller) handled ... in other words, do all of these services accept credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay and Zelle, for example? And how do these providers pay you (the seller) once a client purchase is made ... and how quickly is the time from when the clients pay? (2) Since my interest in any of these services is ONLY for digital delivery to clients (still shots and videos ... interior & exterior of houses ... from the ground and from my drone) for real estate product, do all of these providers have an option for video delivery to clients ... and it so, how about the storage availability?
    Thanks, from NE Florida

    And what do you think of Zenfolio comparing to Pass? Would be great to get your opinion. Client's proofing is the most important point for me.

      First, thank you so much for your comment! Secondly, that's a great question! I'm currently working on a video comparing Zenfolio and SmugMug, so to think of Zenfolio vs Pass is interesting!
      Incoming novel of a comment that I hope helps: While going through and judging for the Zen vs Smug video, I was pleasantly surprised by Zenfolio's photographer interface and how quick it is to learn. Pass is also easy and definitely making galleries on Pass is incredibly quick, but Zenfolio's entire dashboard just feels like it contributes to a cleaner workflow for photographers. Zenfolio's client viewing experience is also pretty similar to Pass, but the shop options on Zenfolio are very trimmed down. From what I was seeing, Zenfolio doesn't offer auto fulfillment on things like canvas wraps, so setting up a shop is real quick - I got a test shop up in about two minutes whereas Pass took me a bit to sift through all the shop offerings. Both allow the ability to favorite, so for proofing purposes, you really can't go wrong with either option, but I think I'm a bigger fan of Zenfolio over Pass at the moment. If you haven't already, try out Zenfolio's 14 day free trial and Pass's free tier to fully play with all the options!
      Thank you so much again for your comment! 🤗

    can you make a video from customer point of view? Which one would a customer chose from their side - from proofs to dealing with photographer to downloading

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  2 года назад

      Definitely! I actually have a video on SmugMug and Zenfolio that does a walkthrough from a clients POV of the gallery! I can't say that it'll meet all the criteria you're looking for, but I think it's still going to be beneficial! Now I just have to edit it, hahaha! Thanks for watching!

    thanks for sharing your experince. Got one question here: would be I able to share my works with clients using Pass with the free account? and.. can they download it? I'm just starting the business so thinking that 20gb would be enough as a starting point.

    • @mariyamagdalena7763

      Yes, you may share your galleries. However, with free account Client's proofing is not allowed (((

    Great comparison video. I’m in the process of moving from Shootproof/ Tave to a more modern and client friendly setup. Any thoughts on CRM integration like with Honeybook or Tave?

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  3 года назад +1

      Ohh, that sounds like it would be a very exciting move. Keep me posted on that transition!
      CRM providers are not something I have a lot of experience in. I'm extremely lucky that my husband was able to create my own custom management system. However, I will say, I am a co-lead of a group that heavily promotes and is owned by Honeybook (I do have some thoughts on this), and while that title did allow me to get a free version of Honeybook last year, I did not convert over to it. I attempted setting up my account, but I didn't have much time to dedicate to figuring it out, and the learning curve/confusion was too much. Maybe I should revisit it once the wedding season winds down, though 🤔!
      Tl;dr: I haven't fully played around with CRM systems, but I definitely have some thoughts and I'd love to do a deep dive on Honeybook, Tave, and any others, haha!

    Curious how you can like Pictime when they don't allow you to sell packages? Every photographer I know sells packages. But when I asked their customer support they were dumbfounded as to why I would want to offer packages. Seems strange for a photography company! Do you have a workaround or did you just offer a la carte products and abandon packages?

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  2 года назад +2

      Great question and thank you for your comment! I'm noticing the coolness of packages the more and more I look at different systems like Zenfolio and SmugMug. At the time of recording this video, the 4 shops being capable of offering packages was not something that crossed my mind to talk about or even look more into, so Pic-Time got an unintended pass on that.
      Truthfully, I've never been able to offer packages to my clients. Prior to making a gallery switch, I was using a homebrewed system (of my design) and at the time of making that DIY gallery system, packages were just not something I even thought to include. So for close to 10 years I was very far removed from the neat features and updates that the professional services were offering. When it came time to find a new service - I was totally ignorant to packages. Really silly of me because maybe I'd sell more products if I offered those packaged items 😂.
      I can't speak to why Pic-Time would be dumbfounded when you reached out to them. Packages are awesome and they ABSOLUTELY should have them. There's just no reason to not have that for a shop.

    So I have a question. I shoot primarily e-commerce product photos, and I am wondering if any of these services would allow a client to view their photos, select which ones they want to purchase, pay for the images and then download them directly? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  3 года назад +2

      Great question! All 4 do allow the ability to set prices on Single Image Digital Downloads via their shop setups/price sheet management on the backend. They also do allow clients to favorite images and for you to see the images they favorite right in your photographer dashboard. All 4 are super easy to get started using as well, which is a total plus! I've tested out Smugmug and Zenfolio (future video hopefully coming soon), and while they do all the same stuff (+ a little more tbh) and are a tad cheaper than Pic-Time, Pass, CloudSpot, and Pixieset, I don't find SmugMug or Zenfolio quite as intuitive for setup. These big 4 don't have a traditional "x amount of days free trial" they instead do storage caps, so I'd say to test drive each one with some sample images and see which one you jive with the best! I hope that helps a little! Thank you so much for your comment! 😄

    My annoyance with Pass is that it brings up Pic time a lot. It gets confusing as I'm thinking they're two completely different companies. Yet they're almost identical and Pass keeps taking me to Pic time pages. It left me scratching my head as to what was going on. So Pass gets a big negative for me as well on that aspect.

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  3 года назад +1

      Yesss! That's what I found too and it just struck me as soooo incredibly weird! They tried to cover it up as much as possible, but then skipped it in other areas, which also just makes it a tad confusing. I'm not happy that you found it confusing, but I am happy to not be alone in that confusion, hahaha!

    Anybody know the best way to automate sending them more images gradually like monthly or weekly? Just for free. So when i cull the original shoot for the images i am going to show them immediately i can set aside a batch to send them a few at a time automated over say a year or two?
