The Yi 4k does better than I expected! Very sharp and the audio is great, I've never seen shaved ice premade like this before, pricey but the portions are generous :)
I visited Taiwan and had an ice cream-like dessert in Taipei in the daytime at a street vendor. I wish I knew what it was, it was the most incredible thing I’ve ever had, and similar to shaved ice without being shaved ice. It had fruit pieces in some flavors. It was not like this one. They were given to us in small cups, no elaborate display. So much more incredible and flavorful than any ice cream in the US. If anyone knows what I’m talking about please tell me the name so I can enjoy it once again when I go back :-)
Taiwan is pretty amazing! I also cannot wait to go back.
How to make these big blocks?
freeze the core of fruits and ingredients etc , then put the core in a bigger cylinder with milk to freeze once more.
got a commercial deep freeze freezer? because they take over 24 in one to freeze,oh and the machine costs around 2 thousand USD.
better option, buy a bingsu machine, wixkix has a 4 flavor one for one thousand USD, waterfall style is basically this,and you only need a basic liquid base not whole solid blocks.
plus you get 3 other styles of iced material including traditional super fine snow powder shaved ice.

it's an ice shaver,several companies including hatsuyuki make them,around two thousand USD, deep freeze freezer also a few thousand and you need that because those blocks take over 24 hours to freeze even in those.
just get a bingsu machine, waterfall style is almost identical, you only need a liquid base,wixkix and barskorea sell them.

online probably,hatsuyuki and others make them,2k usd,plus deep freeze freezer to solidify those blocks,still takes 24 plus hours.
buy bingsu instead, cheaper and waterfall style is very similar, you only need a liquid base,barskorea and wixkix make them,usually cheaper.

People at subway do the same. They put the bread in toaster and then handle the equipments and then add toppings. Most fast food restaurants touch multiple surface even with gloves on. Be a little more observant next time.
