One of the few bands, apart from Hawkwind and Crimson, that produces majestic soundscapes. Muezzins and Dervishes, Raga Drones, Coptic and Christian Tradition, with Black Sabbath. Humanity amalgamated in sound.
Saw them recently live, with Tyler Trotter; a liberating experience, the vibe of the audience was almost corporeus.
Al is God.
A truly public service from the BBC.
