Wow, Louise! This is quite the open work compared to a lot of other designs/patterns. I do like geometrics but I'm so partial to leaves and fans and round shapes with the square. This was a wonderful video inasmuch as I learned how to incorporate that uncooperative and squirrely weaver! 😄 Thank you SO MUCH!
That would be lovely! I've been keeping my eyes open, and now I have seen several long tallies like these in old laces (in books). The long tallies are rather rare, but they add a lot of interest!
Could you tell me how many bobbins you started with? You've inadvertently helped me with a pattern I have been thinking over for a trim and made it more feasible for to accomplish... now I just need an idea of how many bobbins I need to start with to achieve it! Thank you so much!
I think, looking at the video, I started with 18 pairs, 5 on each edge, (3 pairs of passives, a worker and an edge pair) and then 2 pairs for each tally. Hope that helps
5 star demonstration! Thanks so very much.
Glad it was helpful!

Happy to help. I do like this filling but find many lacemakers are put off by all these tallies, maybe I'll use it in a design again soon.

Muchas gracias!!!!
That was very helpful! I will need a lot of practice, but at least now I know what I'm supposed to be doing...😂
Very clear, thank you
Thank you. I did my first leadworks this weekend and they were dreadful. Now I understand why. It was too short and I pulled on the weaver too much.
Happy to have helped. It will be better and easier next time. Thanks for watching
Gracias
