I don't want to burst your bubble, but I must tell you the truth. *This cape might be rarer than the TikTok and Twitch cape, but definitely more common than Minecon 2016.* I did all the challenges, and it took me 4 hours too, so not a very big grind. The reason to why old capes are rare it's because Minecraft had less players at that time.
Of course minecon 2016 cape will be the rarest.... pretty sad minecraft is throwing players with new capes. My minecon 2016 cape is getting less and less value

Back then we had to go to physical events to get capes. Now this one feels like we have to visit a digital event, making it more accessible. To balance that you have to do some challenges. That's pretty cool. Btw, Minecraft posted something where they said that the cape will come to Java on August 5th
No I hate capes that are just given out. I really like this one, since you’re required to work for it. And it isn’t too easy so it’s good. I really hope they’re gonna do more stuff like this but even more difficult.

Maybe, but the effort required is something that will turn many people away. And also, to be honest I've barely seen anything about this cape online, or compared to the other ones at least.

On bedrock is really acessible for all type of players, bc java edition players can play bedrock edition too, but bedrock edition players like mobile players can't play java edition, I think its kinda more fun this way
I really hope we get the Founders Cape on Java too, I claimed it in 2019 or something and have it till this day, I REALLY want it on both bedrock and Java
For the people who want the cape and dont want to put effort Cmon bro even I'm lazy but what you should do is try to make the challenges feel fun you can complete all of them (except the daily one) in a single day just keep the blue bats and cyan coyotes last 1. Makes the challenges feel fun, you'll definitely have the courage to do it try to do the ones that are the most fun 2. Don't get sweaty in grinding, it'll make you slower at finishing it and it'll be a horrible experience for you.
I grinded for it for about 3 hours last night, got 75% done. Imma finish today after work! Super cool :) I always wanted a cape when I was a kid so this feels awesome to earn one
Minigame tierlist from my experience playing them. 1. Sands of time: i like this game because of the variety. Because of the many paths you can take there’s always something new to find. 2. Ace race: it’s just fun to race against other players and try to beat you own records. 3. Grid runners: the games are okay but get pretty boring after a while. Also, the queue can be so long that you spend more time waiting to join a game than playing. 4. Meltdown: OH THE LAG! ITS HORRIBLE! LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE!
I finished all the challenges within the first day exzcept for the cave puzzles which can only be completed once the first 7 days of the mcc server have passed. The grind was painstaking and boring but all is worth it for the cape. I specifically struggled with the sands of time minigame because it said you have to "escape" so i thought the keys unlocked a door but you just have to get back to spawn and enter the portal. Pretty fun tho so 10/10
I’ve gotten my 4 accounts ready for the final cave challenge. I have the final challenge left on all of them. It’s going to make my main account a 6 cape account. It would be a 7 if I had remembered to vote in the mob vote. Only my alt has the cherry cape. It took 6 or 7 hours on my first account. I perfected it and it took 2 hours on my last account.

I also love this cape. I’ve been annoyed that the only capes I have were the Pan Cape which you automatically get from the character creator and that one random Cherry cape from another Bedrock server. I was very happy when I found out I could get more capes, but then I realised they are way too simple to get and I wouldn’t feel at all proud to wear any of them. I didn’t bother getting the TikTok cape h but I did get the Twitch cape and I wear it because I think it looks quite cool. Anyway, onto this cape. The MCC cape is great because, as you said, you have to earn it. It’s knot easy. It took me three days to complete all the non-cave challenges. I know the cave challenges have been leaked but I’m trying to get them legitimately so today at six the last painting will be revealed and I’ll get the cape. But as difficult as it is to get, they’ve given players a whole two weeks to get it. So I think that they should give players who earned it within twenty four hours of the last painting being revealed and earlier (start of event - 18:00 29/07/24) a special version of the cape, maybe with a purple background instead of red. Because lots of us completed all of the other challenges earlier than all the paintings were revealed, and I think there should be something special to show that to separate us from the people who get it in the next week. Just a suggestion
Most of the community didn’t even want to spend 15 minutes on twitch and 3 minutes on TikTok to get those capes. The new cape needs several hours to get. (I’m so hyped , because I have it)
When I first joined the event server, I didn’t even know there was a challenge list. I was just playing for fun. The only reason I found out about the cape is because I didn’t know how to complete sands of time.

I like that you have to play on the server to get the cape too! But I feel like this were more tasks than getting an achievement to be honest, they had to tweak the difficulty a little more to not become the grindy mess it is right now.
I highly recommend that you guys do the easier ones that do not require queueing / matchmaking It's much easier and can be done faster because queues take like 5 minutes which is a lot of time wasted.... Also even if you all get like a few coins buy the caps and then do the challenges... You can complete 2 of them at once .
The tasks were not difficult at all. I completed all of them (expect cave puzzle) in the very first day. And now I'm bored of the server, just waiting for the cape.

I’m pretty used to “grinding” for stuff in games, I grind GTA 5, The Forest, Pixel gun and some other games so it shouldn’t be too hard if I can start today. Hope the cape comes to Java and if it does it’ll be the 3rd cape I’ll have 😃
i am a big mcc person so when this thing was announced i immediately wanted to see what was up. i finished the challenges fairly fast but maybe thats partially because i kinda already knew most of all the stuff needed. also ant venom was talking about it. i dont really care for the cape though.

I’m surprised but glad there is a new cape. I don’t like the design of it but I want to keep getting all the common capes on Java. I did all 14 challenges and all 6 of the currently released paintings on multiple accounts so tomorrow I can get the cape on many accounts. :D By the way, I highly recommend talking to the npcs and actually listening to the voices. They will tell you how to play the games. Don’t run straight into a game, you will be clueless and just waste more time than needed.
there aint no way you did this on more than one account, on average it takes 4 hours, yes I did this myself and that how long it took, so for all I know you grinded for like 16 hours getting it on like 4 accounts, your just basically dropping the rarity at this point.
@@DarkestIQ Yeah I grinded on multiple accounts. The first time took me about 10 hours because I didn’t know a whole lot about the games but after that it only took 3-5 hours for each account. It took multiple days in total but I basically did it, I’m happy.
I did it over a 4 day span and now I have the daily challenge left. I don't have PlayStation Plus. So I did it on my phone and it was horrific. Lagging was sooo horrible and I couldn't do the parkour that well so it took long than I hoped to do certain challenges. Luckily the items transfer between consoles if you have the same account so everything I get goes to my PS4 Minecraft. Which I hope includes the cape
3 challenges being on grid runners, by far the least fun minigame imo was a horrible choice. The fact that after or before playing the necessary games for the other two hats you also need to play an extra game with the axolotl one was bad design

This kinda drove me crazy, also many people were complaining about it being too grindy and difficult. They've obviously never had to put effort into anything in their lives. p.s I was thinking about how you might make a video about this and was happy that you'd be getting another free cape :)
This cape will be the 5th cape I’ll get in less than a year Edit: On a side note, 30000 people with the cape is still very small if you compare the number of players who actively play the game each month
We're 100% going to be getting a cape during Minecraft Live 2024. Perhaps it will be a new mob vote cape or something a little different this time.

Not speculation. Noxcrew and Mojang confirmed it’s also coming to Java if your account is linked. This may be what happens from now on with capes.

This kinda drove me crazy, also many people were complaining about it being too grindy and difficult. They've obviously never had to put effort into anything in their lives.
p.s I was thinking about how you might make a video about this and was happy that you'd be getting another free cape :)

Edit: On a side note, 30000 people with the cape is still very small if you compare the number of players who actively play the game each month
