PCT: Chinook Pass to Snoqualmie Pass (Part 1)

  • This section hike from Chinook Pass to Snoqualmie Pass contains more beauty than its reputation led me to believe. Wildflowers were in full force, as were the songbirds. Views of Mount Rainier, as well as distant ranges, added scenic vistas to the list.
    Last of all, in part 2, we camp at an incredibly scenic mountain lake.

      From where you jumped on the pct from 7080 how far was the trail head to pyramid peak ? And do you know how long that trail is? Thanks for sharing

      @@billnova1 It wasn't far at all from where we joined the PCT. I didn't hike up it, but we could see the peak where the trail went. According to Washington Trails site it is a 3 mile round trip. The guy who wrote the review drove in and hiked from that exact spot, so you can read his review on Washington Trails of it.

      @@billnova1 Washington Trails says its 3 miles roundtrip. We could see the mountain above us, but didn't hike up it. We were on the PCT a very short distance when the other trail veered off, so not far.
