I’m always so amazed at how these ladies sing these Brazilian numbers with such beauty and ease. The Portuguese words just flow out so effortlessly. I love it when Alba and Andrea sing duets. Just so great and so much talent! 💜🌺
Both Alba and Andrea really are masters of timing. It makes them so natural and easy on the ear

Alba is growing to be something big. It is so interesting to follow these kids in their development, from just kids learning the language of jazz, to individuals searching for there own way to express themselves. And on this way be able to enjoy loads of great jazz music. So thank you Joan Chamorro, you have my admiration!

OMG! Beautiful music once again! Great vocals by Alba Armengou and Andrea's harmonies and a great trumpet solo. The flute and muted trumpet are a very nice touch! Josep's guitar solo was very tasty, and of course Ignasi's wonderful piano was spot on as usual. Joan, great arrangement! You guys are awesome!
Abril's brushwork is very good too.

Fantastic. Love the harmonies (including flute and trumpet). Alba's lower register is like warm honey. I'm trying to imagine what she'll sound like when she's 30. I hope I'm around to hear that.

Sounds terrific Thomas. Grew up with a lot of Greeks in Eastern MA (Boston area 1950's and 60's). Great bunch. Been to the Greek picnics and met a some of the parents. Remember Oozo?, something wrapped in grape leaves, etc. Enjoy your boat and Sant Andreu.JB.
@@dongaetano3687 yes I remember all those things :) I work on boats and this music many times fits perfectly with the scenery...
@@thomaskaranatsis9034 I have a wooden dory. A friend got it to a shell and abandoned it then gave it to me. Put in two 1 1/2 " thick clear pine seats painted and got 18'-1*1/2" square mahogany rip scrapes out of a job dumpster and ripped them to make a 3 piece cap for the gunnels. Love to see all the beautiful pictures of painted boats in Europe.
Other friend has made two beautiful Ian Outried design wooden boats. Lots of fun.
One of my best friends name is Gourgoumis, at 71 he is teaching boxing as a workout, helps train fighters and can still do 30 min. on the big bag I think.
I wish I could post photos here of the scenery where many of the videos pop up when published and how the fit with it perfectly...just magic

That was a trip to a foreign land for me sitting here in New England. Alba and Andrea great combo in voice, trumpet or both. Andrea's solo great - Joan Marti flute as well - but those two older guys in their solos were really terrific - Josef and Ignasi , very nice. Thanks to Joan Mar and Abril and Joan C for he background. Cool happy tune. (Sounded happy, not sure if the words were)

Very good. And in this video, as in some others we can see what great musician Joan Marti is, here on flute, in some others recordings on alto sax, giving very tasteful solos. Hats off! (I do not mention the fantastic singers, the amazing Alba and Andrea, or the other excellent members of the band: we have been spoilt by the high musical quality of Joan's videos....)

I have been a musician for over 40years and Mr Chamorro is clearly a master of Jazz, and these young people have totally blown me away with their talents, and on multiple instruments too! WOW! this particular number is absolutely beautiful, Alba and Andrea have the perfect voices for this! Thankyou to you all, you are all BRILLIANT!

Alba Armengou parecía ser una incipiente estrella musical pero ya se ha situado con Andrea Motis y Rita Payés como tres estrellas en el firmamento del jazz que brillan juntas, una al lado de la otra, pero si observamos bien Carla Motis se acerca como una cuarta estrella que en un futuro no lejano brillará con las demás. Al escuchar grabaciones como estas uno nunca se cansa de la vida, de seguir aquí, algo se renueva y adquiere sentido. ¡Larga vida a Joan Chamorro y su banda!
Hello from Ukraine! Accidentally discovered this wonderful team of musicians. I am poorly versed in jazz and bossa nova, but overall I like these styles of music. And now, specifically, I really liked this composition. Even though I do not know Portuguese at all, and I don’t understand what is sung in the song. Yes, I saw the translation of the song on the Internet, but this is a clumsy and obscure translation, and in general is quite abstract. Therefore, it is difficult for me to understand the meaning of the song. However your performance very nice to hear. The romantic soul is felt, and the backing vocals and instrumental parts very gracefully and piercingly presented an integral composition. And all this does not look pretentious, without claims to musical virtuosity. Everything is modest, elegant, in fact, in the home atmosphere of a cozy room. It’s very professional. The result of the work of an excellent director is evident. In short, I am delighted and sentimental touched. Very warm bossa nova for the soul, bravo musicians! I wish you success and many fans

Today everybody speaks of vaccination. Joan vaccinated his students against arrogance on stage, no chemicals needed. Sideeffect: humbleness, respect and truth in the delivery of music. Man, I hope thats not all too dangerous for this world....beware.

It's hard to comment on these pieces because Alba and Andrea are so good that there's almost never any occasion for significant criticism -- and this one is no different! Great solos by Josep and Ignasi, but I think the most underrated member of the group is Abril. This was a challenging piece, and she just nails it! I'm really going to miss her. But great work by all, thank you!

You may not get it: THEY ALWAYS NAIL IT! That's part of the point. An interesting question may be: "How many recordings do not get posted and why not?" But...........don't tell me, we really don't need to know.

I love the work you’re doing especially with keeping Bossa Nova alive. One of my all time favorite genres. Hope you tour the USA at some point.
