You're so right it is very frustrating especially when you order online because you can't check the bag out before you buy it. I know you can return them but you shouldn't have to, it's such a faffle and not good for the environment to keep sending bags back and forth 🙄
I have both the Coach and Marc Jacob totes. Both are lovely and practical. My experience finds me using the Coach more often. I find no quality issues with either tote.
It seems to vary so much. I just wish Coach had picked a better made bag for their website because I know the quality of Coach is usually really good. I recently bought the Coach Lana bag in the small size and it's beautiful and so well constructed 🥰
So similar. I love the denim bling Jacobs tote. I don’t know why these brands don’t double check the photos/samples used on the website. Dacob pointed out an issue with a Chanel bag on their website several years back.

As someone that has many Mark Jacobs totes, I most definitely prefer them. I’ve seen the Coach one in person, and I did not think it had nearly as good craftsmanship. But, I’m quite a bit biased at this point. I was likely seeking out flaws. 🤣
I do really like the MJ totes they've been a huge success for the company. I just wish companies would invest a bit of money in quality control. Customer loyalty is hard to win but easy to lose 😔

Hi Kaz. I’m quite surprised that Coach got sloppy on the stitching. I have a beautiful Coach leather bag that is probably 12 years old now and it’s just as beautiful as the day I purchased it. I’ve seen sloppiness, at times, from almost every brand/design house. I think the purchaser just really needs to look their item over very well to make sure they have a top notch product with no flaws. I have MJ totes also. I do hope you were able to get some sleep.
Hi Dawn, I know, I was really surprised too which is what inspired me to make the video. I think older bags from all the brands are better made than they are now. I ended up falling asleep with my keyboard on my lap while I was supposed to be filling in the description box for a video 😂

The Marc Jacobs Tote, in my opinion, has been constant with their craftsmaship and quality. That pretty Jeans Tote with the tiny cristals is marvelous❤. Tote bags are all shaped the same. I’m sure they saw the popularity of the Marc Jacob’s tote and wanted to cash in, but that really isn’t a rip off at all.
That’s sad. A sales lady at Louis Vuitton told me that the reason they don’t have perfect bags like Coach is because they have artisans that sew each bag individually and Coach uses machines en masse. I’ve been disappointed by my last visit to Chanel as well. I guess I’ll have to start inspecting the “mass-made” bags for these human (artisan?) mistakes now as well.
I agree with you, it is sad, it's a shame that we can't rely on whichever our favourite brand is to sell us a well made product. Chanel have probably been the worst offender over the last few years. Their quality has been so inconsistent, it's a hit or miss situation with their bags in particular, and for those sort of prices they should be consistent 🙄
So many jobs are being lost aren't they. I'd happily pay a bit more money for a bag that was made where the brand itself was based. It's just all about the bottom line and shareholder profits 🙄
Hello, I find the MJ tote very similar to the Coach Swagger--an "it" bag from 2016. In fact, the shape is identical. Another thing, unfortunately, the internet is full of pictures of fake Coach bags. For example, most of the Coach bags (including cargo) on Mercari are fake. I have 2 Coach cargo totes (authentic for sure). They are flawless, and I am a very picky person too. Please see pictures of my cargo totes on the other social. Also, please research the Coach Swagger bag to see how it looks. Thank you.

Like I said in the video I have a Coach leather bag that is great quality and I was just so surprised to see that tote. Fair point. Like I said in the video most companies that make bags are at some point in time inspired by another company's product 💙

Went they sent production to China…I sold my entire coach collection…only have a few now
