It takes a lot to lead a song, keep the person on keyboards on the correct chords, bring in the choir at the right time, encourage drummer to step up at right time, all while singing ON T.V. What a gifted, disciplined, and professional singer the Bishop is!!! He kept that smile on his face and kept singing to his God!
Thank you Pastors - your gifts defined an era .. So influential throughout the entire world.. Thank you LORD Jesus for the godly example of these outstanding men of God... Such a great impact on my life and so many people I know growing up in church. Crouch and Hawkins- always on at home, church and on the radio. WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN !!!
Giving all glory to God Walter Hawkins was an anointing man and this song minister to me everytime I hear it and everytime I sing it it hum thank you Lord Jesus
Lol OHHHHH how I love Bishop's anointing of excellence at 1:38 and 3:01 when that musician was going THE WRONG WAY on those chords & progressions!!!!...Bishop was like uh-uh-uh-uh....LOL...and kept on sannnnnging right on through the correction, and finished STRONG!!!!.....LOL.!!! Oh how I love the Spirit of EXCELLENCE that his Generation had for the Lord's music! His was the Generation of "Music Excellence Ministers" that I was blessed to cut my teeth on/be trained under. Although many of them were in the 4th Quarter of their lives when the Lord postured me under their mantles, it accelerated me into His Destiny for my life because there was sooooooo much rich, seasoned oil for me to receive in my vessel of worship from these Ministers of Music! Glory Hallelujah!!! On another note, back to these musicians on this vdo, I know it had to be intimidating to play behind the Great Bishop Walter Hawkins and especially having to play one of "his" compositions at that...whew....but just having the honor and privilege of affording the opportunity was the blessing in and of itself!! Seeing Bishop in this vdo makes me say, "thank You Lord for my spiritual dad/music mentor Rev. Claude DeDe Wyatt,III (7/21/49-11/24/14), Bishop Walter Hawkins (5/18/49-7/11/10), Elder Edwin Hawkins (8/19/43-1/15/18), & Pastor Andrae Crouch (7/1/42-1/8/15), just to name a few. Oh how we miss you all. 😢 We'll see you all in the morning!
Moving toward his end, he sang his testimony, what God ultimately did for him. Made him ready to see God in Perfect Peace. I luv Walter. Now, he get his well deserved REST.
It doesn't matter whether he had cancer here or not. Just listen while he ministers here. That's what important. Does cancer matter or does what his spirit mini
