Congratulations New Order for your indication this year (2023) to Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. You guys really deserve it for all effort and work to create, develop and share amazing songs in each album since the starting point (Joy Division). Long life and holpeful that you guys can return/visit my country with a new tour as soon as possible. Best regards from a nostalgic fan at Belo Horizonte City - State of Minas Gerais - Brazil !
brings tears to my eyes watching this knowing Hooky has really burnt a bridge. Hope they can forgive each other and re-unite. Tom is doing a good job but Hooky really makes The Order. Good to see Gillian back and Phil on recent gigs
Yeah its sad.. but maybe necessary for them. I support them both. So many kids have parents divorced. They still love them. That's how I see it. Now we got 2wice the music
Remember an interview with Hooky many years ago now, where he said that Paul Simonon from the Clash was a big influence regarding how he held and handled his bass guitar.
@sonic777111 - Keys aren't "taped" - He's playing the backline synth. The staccatto notes behind the whole song. New Order have always been insistent that they recreate as much as humanly possible live, and that's exactly what they do.
AWESOME, no wonder it was in one of the best movies of all time FREEEEEEDOM,,,,,,,,,no wonder it was in 1 of the best Fillums of all time Trainspotting!
@dashj1970 actually i think i commented on the wrong video !!!!!!!!!!!! i think this one of new orders better songs ( post 1982), though hardly a classic, it was probably blue monday or something cant be bothered to check out which one.

@@PH-yo6fz bugger off you cynical bastard. people who say that all contemporary music is shit usually don't even TRY looking for the good stuff. Instead of putting in the effort to find good contemporary music, they just look at all of the shitty songs and bands on the Billboard Charts or something, and then extrapolate that every single piece of contemporary music is garbage. There are plenty of innovative bands/artists around now, but as you can tell, unfortunately the most popular ones tend to be the most mediocre or garbage. you need to look harder, because good music isn't just going to be served to you on a platter.
@@deborahpaley21 I agree that there was awesome music made in every decade. What I'm saying is that people back in the 80s were bitching about new music and harkening back to the 70s and 60s much in the same way we see now with people harkening back to the 80s and 90s. Even fucking Plato of ancient Greece was bitching about the new generation and their "unmusical anarchy". Maybe try looking into new interesting music instead of complaining that music doesn't sound the same as it did 20+ years ago.
@TheKathleenR They were on hiatus until very recently, but they've reunited (with Bernard, Steve, Gillian, Phil Cunningham, and Tom Chapman [who was involved in Bad Lieutenant]) last year. Hooky is not in the band any more, because he left in 2007.

I grew up listening to new ORDers the new wave era... the 80s songs is the best era of MUSIC....
