This video genuinely made me tear up and cry. I can sometimes feel alienated from many human rights movements in a general sense, because it feels like at least online so many leftists and progressives only care about justice when they themselves either have everything to gain or very little to lose from said movements. Seeing someone so easily see the truth of animal agriculture, and so bluntly accept it, and so ardently NOT LOOK AWAY, brought tears to my eyes. It brought tears to my eyes when you said, about the chickens, "I'm sure I dont need to show you," and that person said, no, I want to see, show me. It's so rare to see someone who does not look away.
Progressivism is about control and imposing your will on others. Veganism isn't fully embraced by leftists because Veganism requires self sacrifice. And who wants to do that?

You can have less plant death on a meat eating diet if the animal was raised 100% on grass in a freeroam farming area since eating grass blades doesn't kill the grass plants and they would only be replanted as a result of weather conditions which aren't something within your control or the farmers, that's something naturally that would happen to the grass if weather conditions cause them to die.

@@garrettlees In spite of those numbers (I don't know if 15% is right; I have seen figures of 8% vegan but those may be inflated), Israel is still one of the highest meat-consuming countries on the planet, per capita. Much higher than Palestine.
Also, how do you know that 0% of Palestinians are vegan or vegetarian? Just guessed? There are and always were all kinds of Palestinians. You think they are a monolith because you don't see them as human. "Siding" with them, like they're a sports team. One "side" is being genocided, the other is not.

Someone famous said when you see something horrible don’t look away, look closer. This young man couldn’t believe that what he was seeing is really happening and I guess he wanted to see more to know that it was real. I was able to stomach a lot when I first went Vegan because I needed to know what was going on. I needed to see it with my own eyes.

Yep, and I think that’s ok. We know what happens, we are against it, so repeatedly watching the upsetting footage isn’t something we have to keep putting ourselves through. I totally get that. Let’s hope that the footage we already know about continues to do it’s job and help convert others like it did us. 🙂🌱

That young man reminds me of myself before I went vegan. He's disturbed by what he's seeing but still demands to see more. It shows an appetite for the truth. Once you see that footage for the first time it opens a pandora's box, and you no longer trust anything you consume. I hope he's kept his promises to not eat those products again.

Humans will always wage war. It's just one of the many ideas that vegans latch onto without question because it fits into their world view, has no barring in reality though. I’m 66 years old. I’ve been vegan food wise since 1st December 2020. This is because I watched one of your RUclips videos joey. I’ve always been an animal and wildlife lover, all my life in fact and watching whatever video it was of yours I just got to thinking that I’m such a hypocrite and that being vegan was the way to go. I’m slowly changing my clothing over to vegan stuff but will not throw away non vegan clothing until it needs to be discarded. I’m a pensioner but doing my best. Also slowly looking at house hold products and so on. I will say that I’m also an avid angler. Catch and release only!!!! Who’s perfect. You’re truly something Joey!! Be very proud!! Big respect!!!

Hey. I am 63 and gave up eating meat and fish in November 2019. I then educated myself and became vegan about a year later. It is hard to find people of our age making the change unless it is via a personal health issue.

Man, that was a strong emotional response, in the way that I hope more people would have after seeing standard practice slaughter footage and standard animal farming practices.

I'm a vegan and I'll be honest I'm not a fan of these Palestine protests (just to be clear I want there to be a ceasefire for the sake of innocent people that always suffer from these conflicts) but I dont believe everything is the fault of Israel.
But I must say, that young lad at the end had genuine compassion in his eyes and you can tell would go vegan tomorrow.
As a vegan who regularly goes I get why they might disturb your day but that is the only way to get a ceasefire!
Also it is very much Israel’s fault
