Schumann has a special place in my heart. I learned playing the piano with his 'Album für die Jugend' and fell in love with the piano because of him. His 'Kinserszenen' contains some of my favourite pieces and his 'Fantasien' all sound absolutely stunning #Schumann
I´ve found your channel about a year ago. Since then I have watched every single one of your videos and I am so happy for you reaching 200k! You have inspired me to practice more and I am so grateful for that. I have visited the Schumann-Haus in Leipzig where he and Clara Schumann once lived, it is really something special to be in a place where a lot of history happened and where many wonderful pieces where witten. #Schumann
Your videos are always so great to watch,,, thank you for your dedication and passion to create piano related content like this :) Andddd A BIG congratulations on 200k!!
I have just studied this Fantasie by #Schumann a few months ago, it is one of my favourite piece. He wrote the first movement in a distressed time when he could not see Clara for a long time. So I'll definitely take part in the challenge, but it's amizing what you can do in one hour! Also, sight reading is one of my favourite activities. Actually, these challenges describe perfectly what I'm doing as an accompanist at the Opera :D
Congrats with the 200k subs:) I don't know how to say it but some composers just have a special place in my heart and Schumann is one of them! keep making these awesome videos!!!#Schumann
congrats on 200k, haven't heard this piece before but it's very beautiful. also cant wait for your performance in January, it's the first time i go out of my country to see a performance!
I finally studied a #Schumann piece and it was one of the best things I have ever done. I love Schumann’s music and being able to play something, even if it is simple is something I will forever remember. This piece sounds so majestic and silky I love it
Lovely video as always, Annique! And congrats on 200k subs! ❤ Something I love about #schumann, as a composer myself, is how all of his works have an “orchestral” sound to them, even in his chamber or solo piano works. Essentially, all of his melodies could easily be orchestrated and you can hear the colors and timbre of the different instruments. It’s very inspiring to say the least. :)
I didn't like sight reading until I stopped taking lessons regularly and could just learn pieces that I liked without all the technical work stuff. Then I much got better at it and don't mind sight reading at all now.
Great video. Robert Schumann is maybe my all time favorite composer and this piece is so special. The way the final movement works is so beautiful and clever.
#Schumann i’m a 17 year old piano student and i fell in love with Schumann and his music by learning about his life. he has had a special place in my heart since then, specially with this particular piece and his piano concerto. as always, great playing 🥰🤍
Thank you for your most helpful tips on practice and interpretation, Annique! Your videos have been inspirational to me and have more productive practice sessions as a result. I’ve haven’t gotten much familiar with this Schumann work, other than the very beginning. I’ve learned his Kinderszenen and started the Arabesque. Thanks again for taking the time to produce these videos for us. #Schumann Sending kindest regards your way, Alex
Congrats on 200K ! I've been watching you since you had 60K and your content get better and better everytime, im excited to see what u'll do next :D #Schumann
Goodluck to everyone doing the challenge ^^ i'm by far not experienced enough to participate. 2 months in training. Anyway these videos does help me relax inbetween practice sessions ^^
I was able to play at three of #Schumann pieces and they sound so magical. What I like with his compositions is that each of his pieces have this distinct story and you can notice from the title of his compositions
Great work as usual on one of my favorite pieces of the whole repertoire! What are your suggestions to achieve fluidity and speed in the left hand figure?
#schumann I love the perpetual motion effect the arpeggios in this piece create...it makes me feel like I am drifting away into another dimension :) Also, for a future 1 min 10 min 1 hour challenge, I would love to see prelude no. 11 ("la danse de Puck") from book 1 of Debussy's preludes. Not terribly difficult but really strange and fun!
Would love to see your take on Pejačević: Papillon Op. 6. It's not overly difficult, but my amateur approach over the past weeks would not come close to your 10 minute attempt, I reckon. I have sheet music if you want :P
I haven't been to school or anything and been learning for just almost 2 years. Obviously I can play everthing by heart that I learned and I love playing. I honestly don't see myself ever being a good sight reader because it is not a useful skill if I am only satisfied if I play the pieces I learn well enough. I don't know if I will ever be good enough to quickly learn pieces, but honestly I dont think any pianist spends a small amount of time for pieces that are meaningful to them. Even you seem to spend a lot of time perfecting!
I started in a similar position to you and I promise you it's good to learn to read sheet music at the start. It's really not that hard but it will open up so many pieces to you that are only in that form further down the line. I always regret not focusing on sheet music because now I'm stuck playing things that only youtubers have posted after 11 years
Hi I’m Mention. I’m a intermediate player(middle player),and a classical pianist. I’ve been playing piano for 5 years now. In music we have sets of classes(sets) they are: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Because I’ve practice day and night sight reading. I can read a piece fast. I’m a intermediate player but I have played advance pieces. The practice I put into learning the Elements of sight reading m,I was able to play one of the hardest pieces on the piano; La Campanella. Sight reading is useful try learning it, it pays off.
@@adrionsadler1834 Sight reading is reading as you play, not reading in general. You did not, as an intermediete player, play La campanella by sight reading
The next challenge could be a Beethoven sonata I would like to see op. 2 no. 1 in F minor 4th movement it's so funny and beautiful, and I'm practicing so it would be helpful if you give some tips :D
would you please play schubert sonata No 14 D 784 it holds a very special place in my heart. i feel like it is very difficult in its own regard. especially the second movement gives me the chills. thank you.
Hello ! I think you should try "Beethoven - piano sonata No. 21 in C major, Op. 53, "Waldstein" : Allegro con brio" In my opinion it's a reaaaal masterpiece and a very underrated one It might be really challenging for you I love your channel !! 🥰
Could you please try this challenge with moonlight sonate 3rd movement, i love that song i tried to play learn it myself but its still to hard for me to play i would love to see a video with that song.
Hey can you give a roadmap to a beginner who can't go to a piano school .. I am learning from a beginner piano book what should I do next i want to become a great pianist

This and his Op. 16 have long been amongst my favourite pieces for piano.
Annique, and I'm also going to post all of Chopin's etudes. The record is already there. Thanks a lot - you have inspired me!

Wow, Schumann Fantasie in C, this is totally another level. I don't know yet in what I am participating but #Schumann
Ein weiterer Meilenstein 🎉
Wirklich schön zu sehen wie groß dein Kanal mittlerweile geworden ist. #Schumann

i love sight reading! it means i can move on from learning the notes quickly and focus on how the music sounds and what emotions it brings up
this is one of my favorite pieces ever! when I was asked, what piece of music I was, my answer was this piece:) #Schumann !!!

I really like Schumann because of his different personalities in his pieces. He goes from full of passion piece to something more impetuous #Schumann
#Schumann and each of his compositions are full of emotion and stories which can be described or be storytelled by music itself

Schumann damaged his hand when he built a contraption that he thought would strengthen his fingers which put an end to his piano playing days.
