Great job. Thanos, however, once he realized how powerful supes was, would have used the gauntlet to much better effect.
I would argue the opposite lol if superman knows how insanely powerful the gauntlet can be. He'd dispatch Thanos way faster than the milliseconds it'd take Thanos to complete a thought. Or (since it's mcu thanos) snaps his fingers.

This is the current crisis of comics whit powerful superheroes, the current generations doesn't understand powerful characters like Hulk or Superman, they are complex characters that involves a lot of writting challenges, so they try to make it easier by "humanizing" them, taking shortcuts:
For Hulk give him human Understanding = so we have Professor Hulk
For Superman, they take away his morals and ethics = resulting in Homelander and Omniman because of course a selfish human being that adquired those powers will do terrible acts and deeds.

I would think normally Thanos is no match for Superman. But given he has the infinity stones and gauntlet certainly changes the balance of power.
Without gauntlet, Superman wins, no problem.
With the gauntlet? Thanos could literally turn Superman into a block of cheese wearing a cape. He ended half of all life in the universe with a snap. He turned people into ribbons or blocks.

The fight actually lasted longer than expected. In reality: Superman uses superspeed, takes the gauntlet off Theanus' hand, and it's game over.

Nice animation, a constructive suggestion would be don't feel like everything has to be equal. Their punches don't have to stop in the center, their lasers don't have to be equal. One can overpower the other then the character goes "Oh crap what now" then transition into a counter. And if the fight is really close they're going to do all they can to win, so there won't be so many pauses. If someone is on the ropes the other will synergize on that BEFORE they recover. Don't wait for the recovery before you resume the fight

He could survive it because of two very simple reasons.
When Thanos does the snap he wanted to reduce all lifeforms in the universe that were exceeding their numbers, down to half.
But Superman thus far he's the only survivor of Krypton. Meaning Thanos snap could've never affected him from that alone.
Also those in the Phantom Zone don't count, seeing they aren't part of the universe.
And although a prequel comic of Man of Steel did hinted that Kara Zor-El is alive somewhere on the Earth, truth is that we haven't seen her.
Also Thanos snap was to reduce population overcrowding to reasonable numbers and not to take already endangered species to extinction.
Even if Thanos specifically aimed the power of the Gauntlet at Superman, it would most likely not work.
Using the stones to destroy themselves should've released enough energy to irreparably damage the entire universe. More so because of what the Ancient One said about the stones keeping the universe in one piece.
But as we saw destroying the stones did almost nothing.
And if that wasn't bad enough we saw Thanos with most of stones battling on Titan and on the Earth, and what he's able to do with the Gauntlet was incredibly weak.
None of them, not even Thor with Stormbreaker should've been able to land a hit on Thanos. If anything Thanos had the necessary stones to reduce Thor and Stormbreaker to ash. But still he couldn't do it. Even Scarlet Witch is able to hold him off.
And if you consider what a Mother Box actually does in terms of dimensional shifting. The power requirements alone should be unquantifiable.
So yeah… Superman would be safe

Honestly, Superman stands no chance against an Infinity Gauntlet.
In a straight-up brawl, Superman would likely win pretty handily. Thanos is certainly no slouch, having taken out two powerful marvel heroes with one slap, but Superman's strength outclasses almost everyone the Mad Titan has ever fought, and the kryptonian has too many tricks up his sleeve for Thanos to counter.

Apparently it's not so clear. Superman seems to be far more powerful based on the comics than what we see in movies and TV shows. That being said Thanos is also more powerful.
@@jackkraken3888 If they were both blooodlusted Superman would win as he has the speed feats and strength feats (like the dude one punched the Creator of DC's infinite multiverse) to kill thanos before he activated any of the stones and he cant be erased. If it was both acting in character Thanos would only use 1 stone at a time and he would get 1 shot off before a superman who was holding back realized his power came from the gauntlet and removed it thus making thanos a non threat to him since even with thanos's non gauntlet feats he still has faced worse, id say Thanos has a 1 in 6 chance of winning since only 1 of the stones can affect superman in a way he isnt resisted or immune to. (even then its a bit iffy because if its strongest superman vs strongest Thanos, The strongest superman would just see Thanos as a character on a comic panel and just erase him)

This so so underrated, this is one of the best well made fight animations I’ve seen in a while!
Superman's lasers cut mountains in half, he can pull ocean liners through ice. To put that in perspective, ocean liners weigh around 200,000 tons. Thanos is just a strong alien. Superman is more of a god with a lowercase g. He would cut Thanos in half with no effort. Or just rip his arm to pieces and not think twice. It wouldn't be a fight. It would be an execution.

Well done. You know I complain about how Disney ruined The Hulk, but if you compare Disney Thanos with comic Thanos, they nerfed him also. And in the comics he is truly evil and cruel because he loves to be. In the Movies it was for a cause to SAVE the universe. In the comics he wants only to end it.
