it's been almost 8 years since i've watched this movie and it's still one of the best i've ever seen. i was 7 when this was released and at that time i didn't understand anything with the story, i just loved how the characters interacted and how peaceful the movie was. but now i can fully understand what this movie was trying to convey, due to that i cried nonstop when i watched it again.. this is seriously a masterpiece.

When Taki writes his “name” in Mitsuha's hand, he doesn't actually write his name-he writes “I love you.” Love is hard work and requires two people to invest in one another.

Just two days ago, I decided to rewatch it, and ugh, I was sobbing for the entire movie. 🤧❤ It is one of my favorite animated films because of the beautiful storyline and the soundtrack. I usually don’t cry watching movies but this movie is a huge exception. Really great writing and the rollercoaster of emotions, my eyes were watery for most parts of the movie. I think a lot of us felt the same way they did atleast once in their life. The feeling of loneliness is very relatable and that makes this movie special too. And the visuals are so clean. Honestly one of the best i have ever seen. This movie is one of my tops.

I just got home from the movies after watching Suzume which is amazing btw, but I decided to watch more of the directors work and this is what popped up as number one. My life has been flipped upside down back to back in a matter of 5 hours. Eat your hearts out but Disney or any other Studio out there doesn’t make you feel this real. This man knows human emotion and how to mold, bend and twist it.

The original version of this video is very close to my heart because at some point in my life I was very sad and depressed with my life so I always watched this AMV which filled me with new hope that tomorrow will be better.

I'm in a college courses for film and media. Both require a lot of confidence, enthusiasm, time and patience, especially when it comes to filming (something I lack). But after watching this film for the 4th time and then watching this AMV, I have noticed that the filmography in Your Name is beautiful and worth being inspired from and it really makes me want to do something productive. It was honestly such a surreal and magical experience, having all the concert-goers singing and waving the the lights from our phones together. One of my friends wanted me to wach Suzume with him last week. I haven’t watched any anime before in my life and I honestly just joined him because I didn’t want to feel bad. But, after I got out of the cinema, I felt like my mind swapped in a way and I had a big smile on my face. I have never felt like this after watching a movie before. I am usually not emotional at all, but Suzume delivered everything with its stunning visuals and its heartbreaking and heartwarming story line.
