If you are about to leave a comment about other yachts being longer than this, please listen to the commentary before you do! All will be explained.
Thanks for the vids your uploading bro - they're awesome! I would like to ask you two questions:
1. What kind of yacht (size, type) would you need to do a circumnavigation of the globe (if it's even possible)? I'm talking about motor yachts now, not sailing yachts.
2. What's the largest yacht in size you can navigate on your own without having to rely on crew?
Well....you didn’t expect people to listen to displacement & power first did you?
Mary Decouvertes A good rule of thumb is you'll likely want/need a captain for anything over 60 feet.
I think I read up on a 95 foot yacht that was considered the largest yacht one could legally dock in the USA without a certified Captain. But I agree with Nolen. Unless you are very experienced or just love damaging your yacht, the docks, and paying fines for wake damage ... that 60 foot figure is a good one.
eSysman do you have an email address? Please give me it(?)
I don't have 40 friends and I certainly don't want to hang out with a crew of 80. I'm glad I passed on buying it.
Yeah for me the crew size was the only reason i did not buy something similar
for me it was because i was poor.
@@gmarte12 cant even afford a 500+ million dollar ship? Lol your life must suck
Yes. The 80 crew was a deal breaker for me too and I dont have nearly 40 friends. I'm thinking about what I could do with all that extra space if I get the guests down to 10 and crew down to 15.
You need any guys in order to run it
Maybe the colour is something like champagne, but to me the thought old, yellowed, 80's computer comes to mind...
That made all the other rich people look poor
Looks like an actual cruise ship
Yes it does
I reckon!!!!
0:30
Captain: umm.. where do I park this thing
And you have the responsibility of feeding 80 people per day even when you are docked. I am sure he can handle the expense. The money , I would think, could go to better things. But it's his money. Envy can eat you up. The largest boat I owned was a 28 ft.sailboat. As someone once said, "I don't want to own a boat like that, I just want to know someone who does".
Anywhere you want , Hey Vladimir 👍
Azzam was a real 'big willie' job. The owner saw Eclipse and just said 'I need longer'. It's a stretch job. Dilbar is proper order.
Also,,
does Azzam go anywhere? Same for Dubai, actually.
dave gantly well yeah they move around if that’s what ur asking ...they do travel to other places 😂🤷🏾♂️
@@slugdub101 I drive past the Dubai everyday on my way to work. Never seen it moving.
Azzam is fast. Very fast. Much faster than these shorter yachts
"Azzam" cuts through the water like a giant clipper ship. I love the general engineering of "Azzam" for the pure speed Lurssen gave it. "Dilbar" is just more of a "gas hog," probably.
Think my tripple axle trailer will handle that? Dont worry about the tow rig, it's got a Cummins.
That is magnificent! I would love to see the engine room and the interior.
YES
It's rumored this boat was built to make 80m private yachts seem reasonable. Owner took one for the team
How charitable. No doubt a saint, St. Dildo.
I stumbled upon this boat on a trip to Barcelona and started googling. There were about 8 fuel tankers lined up getting ready to feed it. It's beyond crazy in person.
I was in Antibes 2 weeks, ago and was able to get a close up look at it. It's beige, really strange color and kind of reminded me of a 1960's refrigerator. But absolutely huge.
I love the design and colour - very unusual colour and I imagine it is really striking in certain lights. There is absolutely nothing wrong with pushing the boundaries. Hope I can one day catch a glimpse of it in person to simply admire.
When does a ship cease to be a Yacht and become a cruise ship?
Signman 68 when’s it’s not just a personal ship
I guess whether it will be called a yacht or not refers, as Shawn already said, to who owns it. By no means is this a yacht by size. It's a fucking ship !!! I'm no expert of course but have always considered everything with more than 1 skipper crew to not be a yacht anymore. If you can't start it up and sail away yourself, I dont think it's considered a yacht anymore.
+Signman 68- When it's 175 yards long. That's when.
at the stroke of midnight.
When it becomes open for public use. If someone buys a cruise ship, but uses it only for personal use, then that cruise ship becomes a yacht.
putin aproved
This is a thief yacht from Russia
Юрий Зубов yes we know.
trust me, this boat belongs to Vladimir. the other guy just runs it for him
This yacht belongs to Alisher Usmonov.
Putin is actually in opposition to russian ultra wealthy magnates.
This guy surely won the " mine's bigger than yours" challenge..
The way to win that is to say “mine’s so big the girls flock to me - who cares about yours?”
What a massive toy. It has a beauty all its own, partially due to its sheer mass.
The colour is a bit strange.
cream
for when the sun shines too high
Bronze ivory is the colour
You idiots the colour is Chipotle mayo
It’s a leftover from Mercedes E-Class German Taxis.
When you have the money.... just do it !!!👍😀
This is a thief yacht from Russia
I just woundet what this would really be like. I can't even began to emagain. This is the life. You are truly blessed.
Great spelling lmao
One could easily sell all Properties on Land and actually *live* on this Megayacht for the rest of life.
Lürssen i would say is the number one address worldwide when you wanna get one of these.
They recently bought the Blohm + Voss Shipyard in Hamburg, where Eclipse and other Megayachts were built.
I live in Hamburg and have seen Eclipse with my own Eyes. The Videos don`t do these Yachts justice.
You have to see them in person. Gigantic. Very impressive.
I used to work for the company that provided Satellite communications to both Dilbar and Eclipse. After being on hundreds of super yachts throughout the world, you realize that you are more comfortable at home, in your own bed. Super Yacht owners rarely use them, most super yachts are chartered most of the time. It's a cool life, however at the end of the day it's very unfulfilling.
In what way was it unfulfilling? And by the way do the owners of these megayachts greet and talk to their crew on board or do they keep their distance?
Most owners really don't engage with the crew. They're treated more as paid servants, but not disrespected. Yacht crews have a super high level of etiquette and attention to detail. Everything has to be perfect and you won't find them saying things like "hey what's up man". Think of a 5 star hotel. They definitely treat contractors differently than owners or the captain. They'll get really rude with you if you're doing something you aren't supposed to because they're responsible for your actions and whereabouts. But if you stay in check they're really awesome people. Outside of the boat is a different story, when they take you out on the town it gets really wild and fun.
They work everyday cleaning the boat, inside and out. After a rain they're outside with shammys wiping it down. It's quite ridiculous to be honest, but it makes for a clean boat.
I found it unfulfilling after about 4 years. It's like... meh, just another broken piece of junk yacht that I have to fix in a beautiful landscape.
Thank you for answering! I suppose the female crew members are average looking, in order to not attract to much of the wrong kind of attention (if you know what I mean)? What faux pas could a contractor be committing that would provoke the crew? What are the wages, do the crew members really make more on a luxurious yacht than on an average hotel? Does the crew hang out with contractors on their onshore adventures as a part of the renting deal?
No, actually the female crew are very attractive and fit usually. Contractors are supposed to adhere to rules, don't go where you aren't supposed to, work cleanly, don't scratch ANYTHING, don't wear backpacks, ask for permission before boarding, etc. The crews are paid fairly but they have 0 expenses other than what they spend going out on the town or shopping. There is a difference between contractors and charter guests. Charters rent the yacht out. Contractors work on the systems onboard. The crew are just really cool people as long as you don't screw anything up and fix their systems and if they are able they will take you out for a drink after work is complete. They're sailors after all and they do enjoy a drink!
Stunning
If I hide your phone in this boat, you will need a lifetime to find it!
Saw this beauty in Barcelona a few months back. My girlfriend swore up and down it was a commercial cruise liner due to the size. She is a true beauty up close, the boat of course.
I saw a private 777 at Barcelona airport, Arab one
You SHOULD have said.. "both of them" -- or hope she never reads your comments!
Best to say:
… the boats ok, too.
This yatch puts other mega yachts to shame
Too big, just too big... But hey, if I was that rich, why not? Can't take that money to the grave...
Yo_ScubaPro 100% right
True!
Yo_ScubaPro but you can take memories of being on a mega yacht! Or helping the world be a better place after you were here :)
Agreed, they have no personality or edge, just big white hulls all looking the same. If you go down to 70-100m yatch you can find some really beutiful ships with its own design and style!
Why not give it to worthy causes instead of shipyards?
How big should the yacht be?
Owner: Yes
Tbh I dont mind the color, it's nice to see something other than white / grey / sometimes black.
“We must go! Not expensive enough!”

What an amazing craft, can you imagine what it is like to be at the wheel as this takes off, fabulous and thanks for such a great and informative video.
Good stuff. Thank you I enjoyed that very much, I never get tired of looking and hearing about her, she really is impressive
It is. Impressive
Dilbar is my favourite type of yatch. It is perfec in every sense.
Would be cool but too much crew
It’s good to be part of Putins inner circle 😩
Cleanest purist cyanide
Putin is actually in opposition to russian ultra wealthy magnates.
@@tophan5146 NOPE. He benefits he gets a piece of the cake 🍰. His palace in the south, his expensive watches, his cello friend with 100s of millions in Panama, etc etc. Putin is like a crow attracted to sparkly things 🤩 “ Give me”
@@denmark39 Putin is not motivated by money. He is motivated by power. There is plenty of examples of him being in opposition to ultra rich. It’s not some club, they are all enemies to each other, fighting for power.
@@tophan5146 he can't be in power without them
Thanks for film with people on board. It really give it context and perspective.
Beautiful yacht, but my absolute favorites are Lürssens Project Jupiter and Ulysses.
The last few seconds of the video, the boat looked like a building
Ive seen this yacht docked in Valetta its incredible
The Dilbar has been seized.
I don’t care about the luxury aspect but the engineering is fascinating to me. I’d love to spend a voyage in the engine room also I wonder what all the Comms on top actually do? Gotta love the practicality of the owner actually buying a dock to park his cruise ship, that’s cool.
Now who the heck allowed someone to take MY yacht out to be filmed after I formally forbade it! Can't trust anybody anymore!
The annual maintenance alone on that thing can employ hundreds of first World employees every year. Just wow!
Saw this in Barcelona last week, and have seen it docked in Fethiye Turkey, it is by far the largest boat I have ever seen
Congratulations on your accurate comments! Bravo!!
why would you need a yacht this big?
Greed
Would love a walk-through
Aquaholic walkthrough of this would be about two hours I'm guessing
Would love a walk around this one!
Ok,boomer
80 crew? Wow that is the most impressive stat in the video.
100 crew
I thought the Martha Ann had a crew of about 120...
Sooooooo Beautiful . Deeply envious.
I have been on smaller cruise ships
i have seen the yacht multiple times in barcelona and when u look inside the windows its just pure gold. the roof is gold the seeling is gold even the glasses are gold...
Thanks for the time explaining about the boat.
I don't know anything but now I know a little.
Do you know how many floors it has.
Nice yacths, i like that yacths. In future soon. I love so much the delbar.
Clearly compensating for something
Yeah: a lot of money.
Those superyachts must be sold and the money must be used to pay for Ukrainian war reparations. Slava Ukraine!! 💙💙💙💛💛💛
Only the Germans can build something like that.
Nazis*
Yer but dont take it to NY though
Rush patriot If you say Nazi to an German, it would be the same to say the N-Bomb to an Afro American. Nazi is the N-Bomb for a German. So please don’t use this Word ever in your life. The Germans don’t find this funny at all.
@@maxnatscher1033 - I'm sure they don't, because Germans are not known for their sense of humor.
Can't say that I like it. The color is interesting - reminds me a bit of Pelorus.
Just amazing...
It’s right now in Barcelona! It’s in the harbour where it also is Two other Big Yacht...! Just saw it today
Alisher Usmanov isn't rus. He is uzbek
I beg your pardon sir, a boat is a vessel you place aboard a vessel of this size....this is a ship.
A ship is a boat, but a boat isn't necessarily a ship.
that's one small boat you got there
Great quality video!
I have a question. You are the most knowledgeable person in this business in my opinion. Why I never saw any safety equipment in any yachts not even single LIFE JACKET.Pls.if you can answer me this question.Thank you in advance.
elliot fans where u at 😂
Vorla TF thinking the same thing!! 🤣
Josh Frank hahaha 😂
Elliot Choy saw your video and then saw this one! I’m jerry btw
Here man present
Is seized too??
Now she is in Sardinia.300 meters in front of my apartment and you're right, this thing is huge.
I took pictures of the ship in Spain 🇪🇸 in 2016 it’s amazing
When your boat is part of the skyline...wow.
for some one not familiar with these boats if you went to this dockyard you would think that's a building and the rest are boats
Does each cabin have a full bathroom ( toilet, beday, bath, sink shower etc. Minibar.)
Rumor has it the battle of the Russian billionaires is on as Eclipse just isn't doing it for Abramovich anymore.
'Dilbar' is for me the most beautiful yacht in the world.
Hunter Of Liars Dilbae the name of his mother, he also has father named jet
YACHTSEIZE!!! Dank schon krauts!
Aye i bought this yacht a few years ago! Had to get rid of it… Too small. lol
how much would that yacht cost to run per hour? anyone know
Enjoyed your video, thanks!
All the domes, antennas, and radars.. I'm sure this ride has some anti-missile defense... sub defense. Ya never know when you can lose "favor" with the top Don. Poor Russia. Those people deserve so much better with all the hell they've been through over the centuries.
Great looking yacht.
I think I saw a jet taking off from the bridge deck. 😱
Amazing
DILBAR, an Urdu word meaning “lovely/sweetheart” in English, cool name for a Yatch..
Cool fact
eSysman I saw her in Barcelona during sea trials and Wikipedia is a wonderful tool...
No actually Dilbar is a Persian word and means "heart thief" common name for girls. In fact Dilbar is the owners mother's name.
It's not my favorite, but "Dilbar" is still a marvel, without question. Lurssen just does simply excellent work.
dilbar yacht has a good presentation of the vessel very nice
Good work on the drone control knobs .... Your getting good at this
This yacht from another world, love it.
This is a thief yacht from Russia
With a crew of 80 how does the hierarchy work onboard to make sure things run efficiently? I assume the captain has final say in matters but I’d also assume he is too busy to be involved in crew and task management at the detail level. I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts and expertise on this
Captain is always at the top. And with a ship like this, at least 2 captains per shift. Also there’s plenty of time for captain to give commands, it isn’t a war ship. I worked offshore on supply vessels.
Beautiful and impressive, hats off to the Russian!!
He’s an Uzbek.
Arsenal fans know him as one of the major shareholders of the club
damn i love lurssen yachts
I can imagine a yacht owner sitting outside his yacht that is 250 ft long...being rather proud of his accomplishment....then....here comes this goliath to take all his pride and cast it over the rail....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow, impressive yacht! Immagine working on that yacht! Thanks for sharing. 😊⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵😊👍👍👍👍👍👍
Seized by German authorizes according to Forbes magazine. Good!
What I always found odd about this yacht, and Azzam and a few others, is the complete lack of exterior space. The only place on Dilbar you can sit in the sun is on the helipad. What's the point of a yacht if you spend the whole time inside? You may as well just save several hundred million dollars and build a few giant vacation homes at your favourite destinations. It contrasts with Eclipse, where the decks don't hang over each other at the stern, so there's real outdoor space. It's fantastic.
Well, this is not for sunbathing mainly. It’s for billionaires getting away from public and having private meetings/gatherings/conversations with other billionaires or with their family and the owner and his guests probably don’t have time to lie down to get sunburned
I've seen this boat in Antibes, it literally looks like a cruise ship, its ridiculous.
As for the color which many people discussed about, I think it’s associated with its name Dilbar. Dilbar is the name of its owner’s mother. So, beige is kinda rich and warm color which suit the symbol of a mother. The owner has a largest private jet also and it’s named after his father “ Burkhan “.
I want to see a tour of the yatch,
Lürrsens greatest gem
I LIke this Yacht, Franklin
You think I can get this with zero down?
Yes u can
Anything is possible. But even with zero down & at 0% interest it would cost $500k/month for 100 years just to buy it, forgetting about all of the additional costs to run it etc...
