    This work among many others has convinced me that Telemann is more of a Galant composer than Baroque. Listen to the minuets here. It sounds like something a young Haydn would write.

      I quite agree . He was a little younger than Handel and melodically and orchestrally a freer spirit although he was not the real genius that Handel was. He lived to a good age well int the Galant time.

      ​@@starnafin I thought Telemann was 4 years OLDER than Handel, because Telemann born in 1681 and Handel born in 1685.

    I didn't know this ouverture (Telemann was so profilic...) a surprise! Wonderful elegant . The graceful face of the ancien régime long before its debasement. And perfect execution, what about Wallfisch band?

      Telemann's Overtures are amazing.. recently discovered it. His violin concertos are the best.. better than JS Bach IMHO. Telemann is prolific🔥🙏👌👍
