Brooke this has been some of the best material I have seen on line with your tutorials and inspirational words. I thought I was the only one that loved to do self portraits and felt sort of selfish or prideful doing it ... but now feeling inspired that I could do SO much more to mold into reality what is held in my head and soul. Super exciting! THANK YOU for doing these!! I am 51 years old, diving in head first, into the world of marketing my work after ramping things up about 100 notches after nearly nine years of having my heart about 1/2 way in it ... I learned about you through your equally fabulously talented friend Lindsay Adler and watched the concept challenge series you all did in NYC ... WOW - this has been an entire game changer watching you and Lindsay and seeing where our imagination can take us ... extended on film and making it visible for others to see. THANK YOU !!!
I love doing this. I call it unconventional challenge. For my last one I used a pair of work goggles and two curtains and I absolutely loved the result. I think it helps so much to grow your creativity with these types of exercises.
You always know how to help people are trying to get inspired. This week I started a multi dimensional art project that is going to include paintings, photography, and writing to show one major project. Your words always help inspire and show anything is possible.
I just want to say. I think you're amazing! Your creativity blows my mind 🤯 keep doing what you are doing and I will continue to be inspired by you 📷🖌🏆
So inspiring and beautiful as always Brooke! I tried to write a quick poem based on the prompt you gave for fun... The past is like owning a songbird, A treasure beneath the dirt. It calls to teach the future, Of what we can endure. Love the dice! What a fantastic idea. I suppose you could do something similar with ripped up/folded pieces of paper in a jar? Will definitely be keeping all these tips in my pocket. Thank you sunshine!
I absolutely adore your work. It breaths life into my soul when I am admiring your work. If I may ask a question...I have been struggling with my photography for 20+ years. In part because I am a perfectionist and struggle to let go of the idea that something should look a certain way. Do you or have you struggled with perfectionism and if so how do you work past it so that you can create? I find this always blocks my inspiration/creative flow.
Wow, I did a same kind of shot one month ago, a half necked guy on railway and covered his eyes using a cloth, and hands coming out from ground, you are the best photographer in my mind, good luck
I just started following you on RUclips and Instagram. I first started seeing your work after watching a RUclips video on Adorama where you were the interviewee. I really enjoy the simplicity approach you have in your photography and your use of a square form factor in your prints. One of the areas that interest me is the fine art as well. I would consider being my own model but I also have reservations photographing myself, being a large guy. How can I overcome this issue and what are your thoughts? I think, traditionally speaking, models these days are of a smaller stature and is what has been widely accepted. I applaud the female plus size models that have crossed the boundaries of what has been previously accepted as the norm.
This video was very informative. I have tried couple of them earlier and I can vouch that it does work out. Well learnt a few new tips which am definitely gonna try implementing in my work. Thank you and best wishes from India.
I see you can now get the metaphor dice app :) But if you go to the website to buy the dice you can actually gift a set of dice to a complete stranger that is a teacher....what a gift :) and a great random act of kindness
Love your vids. You are a creative genious. The way you think about what the end image will be and shoot for that is truly inspireing. Have you ever thought of doing some shots in the form of Salvador Dali? Regards, Bill from UK.
Brooke, how did you get your art out there in the beginning? I have a hard time networking, I don't know that many people and I find it SO HARD to get my stuff out there. I spend a lot of time alone and I love it because that's exactly what I need for creating, but then it's like I'm missing the next step, which should be letting it all be seen. Because there's no one to see it. Help! If you ever feel like making a video about it, I'm sure it would help a lot of people. I know many of us suffer from that paranoia of wanting to be seen and wanting to hide at the same time, which adds another level of difficulty to overcome :)
Hello Brooke, I'm Anamary and I've been working for a long time. I love your edits, the only problem I have is that I do not understand the language and I would like to know if there is any way to translate your videos from RUclips or at the same time have subtitles in Spanish. Thank you.

Thank you! I love Dali but have never actually considered doing anything directly inspired by him. I will now, though!
Can't wait to see the final images. Thanks for the reply.
Regards,
Bill.
Love you Booke! And i really love the way that you share your person online!
:D
Best wishes From argentina lady!
Sorry About my bad English!
Have you ever tried Brian Eno’s “Oblique Strategies” as creativity prompts?
William Gority No but I will!
I love that she goes to the Harry Potter books for props since she reminds me of Luna Lovegood. And I mean that as a high compliment.
You're a good person.

Erika, Brooke has made several teaching courses through creativelive.com. She goes through all of that and so much more.
Hi Brooke! Do you sometimes copy (in private of course) other people’s work to find your own vision?

Anyone notice the Hyrule Historia on her shelf?!
“Love is only desperate when the drum stops beating” sounds like a Florence Welch song metaphor
:D :D
Could you recommend some good movies for inspiration? :-) If you watching movies :-D Something like sad, moody, emotional, dark, mythical, rainy..
YES! Pan's Labyrinth and Clone/Womb come to mind :)
Ahh, thx u! :-)
Btw, did you see "Mother" - movie? In my opinion this is really great movie for inspiration.
You are too cute!
Chère Brooke,
Tu es trop belle : je te demande officiellement en mariage ! ;-)
Mon amour, un mariage à 3, c'est très moderne ! :-) Mais Brooke sera-t-elle d'accord ? :-) :-)
