Couldn't agree more man! Great stuff. I love my Nvidia Shield Pro (2019). It's a gaming and streaming monster. I snagged a couple of Shield controllers and I'm gaming retro with my son. Fun as hell and performance that just can't be beat.
I'm late this but so glad I just got one. Been into shadow pc for a while now and really wanted a way to have a good time on it other than mobile. This with a cheap 32 inch TV i have in my room is now my pc type set up. Very cool.
Considering the situation with Base/Next Gen consoles, cloud gaming has a chance to change some hearts and minds. Cyber Punk is a pretty fine looking endeavor 👍
Two days ago I've changed my mind totally after trying GFN Founders on my smartphone (using PS4 controller). I reported no lags at all. I've ordered today Shield Pro 2019 so I can play all that games on my TV. I was sceptical about cloud gaming since I tried PS Now beta back in 2016 I think and it was rubbish. Now with GFN it's like playing on PC that's in my home. Cannot wait to play CP77 on Shield on my TV.
@@Bossix84 Psnow squandered their (at the time) lead but the internet wasn't ready yet..I got my shield pro for about a week and a half now and can confirm the upscaling and in console GFN experience is better imo. Heads up, Memory sticks are ment to be used Persistently. It’ll burn out. The shield will never let it rest. Consider upgrading from a USB drive if that’s what your using
I know you mentioned that you'll let the ShieldTV Pro upscale it vs running the game natively at 4K? any reason why you get better performance and quality with upscaling? I would think that if it was running on 4k natively (for example on shadow pc using shadow's own gpu) you would get better performance since its less work that the shieldTV unit has to do itself. any comment on that?
Shadow boost is not capable of ruuning most games 4k at least not well. Its getting old woth the 1080 equivalent. Older games yea some 4k but no new games. 1080p and 1440p for boost. So streaming 4k but not running the game 4k only does so much. Which is kinda what Stdia is doing 1080p upscales game with a 4k stream. Also internet bandwidth both from shadow and your home internet. It can be much much harder to stream 4k low latency no stutter vs 1080 and 1440. Most people still dont know how hard it is to render a game 4k and or to send and receive a good 4k stream for the game. Its good to try it all and see what works best for you.
That makes sense. I would figure the shadow ultra and the Infinite should be able to render 4K fine but I could see the streaming aspect of it being a whole other issue. Hopefully ISPs will invest more in infrastructure.
