If I may suggest, next time you want to align the numbers use a laser level on a tripod. Then you will have a contact free line of reference to insure proper placement.
Great video. I love the clock. Hint - when putting in batteries, put in the nobbly end first, then the other end should just slip in with a gentle push.
Hi Debra, that looks wonderful. The colors go together perfectly. If I might lend a bit of friendly advice, use tweezers to set the numbers so you're not relying on dropping them in the right spot. Again, great work!
My recommendation: once it sits for those 2 hours and reached the tacky point, move the clock base to another board. On that board have the 12 lines drawn out for the clock numbers so that you only have to line them up based on those line rather than eyeballing it solely. Beautiful piece, well done overall. Epoxy is a wonderful material to work with if used properly because of its versatility of uses and endless color options.
I haven't done a resin pour yet, but watch many videos on it. Would it be possible to add the numbers right after the pour and when you have more control over number placement and the resin is more forgiving? Or during the sticky period, forcing the move and maybe do another layer of clear resin over the top, once all the numbers are right? Love your work.
You can certainly add the numbers right after the pour. I find that sometimes they move when placed that early because the resin is still fluid and moving. I could also wait until it's cured and add the numbers and then a clear coat. Thanks for watching!
Hello i liked your skills. But because the Light has blendet the paints i couldnt read whats written on them. Can you please teli me the names of them 😊?
Very nice, only one small problem. The battery part should be on the wood. That way it would be easier to hang. Instead of the back sticking out so much. Otherwise nicely done
Maybe 11 is your lucky number, pick it if you play a lottery ;-) Amazing clock by the way. thanks for the tutorial. Gonna try to make one for my mother
going to try to make one in the spring. I will post a video of the finished product when I am done and I'll shoot you a message so you can check it out. hope mine comes out at least half as good as yours did. I soooo know i am going to screw up placing the numbers though...lol
@William W, draw around a clock onto paper wider than it, & the one you're making, & mark where the numbers are. Place the one you're making over the drawing, & use for the template for the numbers. That seems to be the easiest way to me.
I really liked your tutorial. I have checked the Michael's website and am unable to find your clock base. Could you tell me the diameter and thickness of the wood? Thank you.
Love your video! If you don’t mind saying, where did you get you clock mechanism and what size did you get...the spacing and hand length. Thanks so much!
Great video. Love that color combination with the gold. I'm inspired to make one myself now! Thanks for sharing!

Did I happen to miss where are you explained how you got the numbers so evenly distributed. I can’t imagine just eyeballing it

@@williamw7583 As you can tell, numbers are my problem as well. Recently I bought a protractor and now I can measure and place them correctly.

Is it a special tape you are using on the back or can I use the same on my canvas for pouring
it's masking tape. it will work for resin and regular paint
Whish color do u use?
Beautiful! Where did you get the numbers for the clock? Thank you...
You can purchase numbers at any craft store.

Love your video! If you don’t mind saying, where did you get you clock mechanism and what size did you get...the spacing and hand length. Thanks so much!
The clock mechanism is from Michaels. It's Art Minds brand, 3/4 inch.
Not sure where you are but in the UK Hobbycraft sell MDF circle with predrilled hole for £1 and clock mechanism for £2..
