i like that even tho this is just the official audio video it feels like a music video, like the progression visually between the dark desaturated places and him just standing there, then standing in a more confident position to go with the music, and at the climax being in bright colourful places standing confidently, and the final bit where he goes back to one of the dark desaturated places back in a less confident pose as the song goes back to the quiet first line idk i just think its rly cool :>

You Are Here is a great beginning to an album. Something that I think a lot of artists struggle with is encapsulating me with that first song in the album. Like for example, in Lovejoys Are You Alright, Taunt (the beginning track) always felt weak to me. It's a good song don't get me wrong but I feel like One Day would've been a GOLDEN first song in the album. The same thing can be said about Pebble Brain. The layout of the tracks always weirdes me out, having Oh Yeah, You Gonna Cry at the beginning just...doesn't feel right to me. You Are Here actually gets me settled to listen to the whole album, it feels like the kind of music you'd hear at the beginning of a movie or a video game to get you into it. If there's one thing so far that James has done for me, it's made me feel things. Grapes somehow manages to get me as happy as I do when I listen to Model Buses. It's a happiness I was never able to experience in any other song until I listened too Grapes. From this song, I know that this album is a slow one, and it's gonna make me feel things. It'll have ups and downs, some songs won't be meant for me, and some will. It's something I love, and it's something James I think proves my point even more in his lyrics video how his first word was one of the first of the album. Which is a cool fucking thing!
