My burning question is... Do you ever have a baking fail? I've watched you make so many tasty things, this and the pizza especially and they always look a success. I know mine would just flop 😂
I had a baking fail while doing a YT Live with Lauren and Jean. I was so distracted chatting that I forgot to add an ingredient and my scones were dry and gross, ha. Managed to save it by turning them into a crumble topping. x
Awesome!! Your channel and your promotion of small presses is one of the main reasons I finally was brave enough to start my own channel focused only on smaller presses. One of your videos (maybe a year or more ago) introduced me to Strangers Press, and it was really at that point, after I placed an order for every one of their chapbooks, that I decided to take the plunge with a channel. Thanks for such inspirational videos - so grateful!!
Your Videos are Like A Bowl Of Love and Hugs! It makes my day wayyy better than I ever wake up to...Thankyou! 🤗💙🤗💙🤗👍👍👍 Also looking forward to order Time Differences by Yoko Tawada!☺👌👌
I love the baby squirrel content!! So sweet that they come right up to you!! We just had to rescue one that got separated from his mom too soon. So I got to hold him before he went off to a rehabber.
i haven't read them but thoroughly enjoyed hearing about them all and seeing the so so sweet baby squirrel...kong's garden appeal to me a lot..i'm finally reading 'the mirror and the light' and very happily so. , ,
Your vlogs are always such a joy to watch 🥰 those hot cross buns looked delightful! So relaxing to watch too 😌 these books sounded so good, I think I need to get involved with Strangers Press. Thanks for all the recommendations ☺️🩷
Thank you for another lovely, comforting video ❤ I've been pondering over this publisher for a while and picking some of their books up so this video was perfect, thank you. Also my 8 yr old dressed as Edith for world book Day this year, she adores the fluffy squishy Itty bitty x
Lovely vlog, Jen, and the PERFECT way to begin my week 😊 I believe my library has just purchased a couple of sets of these titles *rubs hands* in which case, I would like to read them all. Take care and happy reading 📚xx
I have just finished reading If they come for us by Fatimah Asghar and Apsara Engine by Bishakh Som. I started reading Dead collections by Isaac Fellman on saterday
Are all the books slim? Published by Strangers Press. And they choose short novels to publish? I seem to be curious about this --more than I expected. Even their website doesn’t state the books length. Must be a known fact. I will be reading some. Maybe buy a set of their translations. Thank you Jen. The world is an amazing place.
I read *So We Look to the Sky* by Kubo Misumi (窪美澄) in Japanese and loved it. I'm surprised that the English translation title uses the first person plural "we" instead of first person singular as a literal translation of the Japanese title (『ふがいない僕は空を見た』). I'm happy to see foreign language translations of my favorite author's book.
Live in Norwich and totally unaware of this press. Rectifying with purchase. Now which country? I'm tempted by the Dutch but like you have a pull towards Japanese writing.
I have recently read you have reached Sam and before the coffee gets cold (Japanese translated books) can you recommend me similar translated books????
I didn’t enjoy Before the Coffee Gets Cold but if you did I think you’d like The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa and Miss Ice Sandwich by Mieko Kawakami ☺️
Jen's Sunday reading vlogs. Two cups of coffee and the best reviews and expanding my tbr in 30 minutes. On a personal note I want my favorite booktubers to have a country weekend reading blog. I want to see books pies jumper game games laughter. I want to know that everything is going right in the world. That there is still light and hope in the world and that darkness has been beaten back for the moment. If you want to delete this I get it, but is a dream I have.
please protect your vocal cords more, making videos when your voice is not ok can hurt you :c I hope you are working with voice emission expert - if your voice is strained often, it might be necessary to establish some new routines like drinking more water, doing voice exercises, breathing exercises and so on. I know that unsolicited health advice is rarely welcome, but I really hope you won't take it the wrong way. your health is important, the videos can wait
Thank you for your concern, but I'm very used to dealing with my voice; it sounds like this (in part) due to ectodermal dysplasia (in the case of this video exacerbated by illness). I've dealt with it my whole life. x
Happy Sunday, everyone. I hope you enjoy the video ☺️ x
I'd love to see a Persephone book reading vlog at some point!
Noted ☺️ thank you x
I love your reviews but I also love watching you bake😊
Thank you x

I always love your videos. I am reading The Haunting of Alejandra by V. Castro.
☺️ are you enjoying it?
@@jenvcampbell I’m really enjoying it. It’s my first time reading horror , but it’s really has me addicted to it. I can’t put it down.

They only publish chapbooks so, yes, everything is short ☺

Trust me, we want that, too!
Am cyrrently reading murakami ‘s the wind up bird chronicle. I like murakamis writing but i dont like this mixture of reality and fantasy
If you like his writing and would prefer reality on its own, his book Norwegian Wood has no fantasy. x
@@jenvcampbell i adored that one and this is why i’ ve picked another one of his books
