As a famous lawyer, Lauren should have been a bit less naive. She went out alone for a ride in the night with an unidentified man who was underground for decades. How could she become a successful lawyer with this amount of unawareness?
LOL..YUP
At least wait until daylight
This is a movie that's why
@@Rafidzeh_18 Even it's a movie, the story needs an inner logic, also the characters need some integrity 🙃
Single female lawyer!
Fighting for her clients!
Why would Lauren let him free without confirming his identity? She got the man's fingerprints and could've just waited to find out who he actually is. Plus, why would you ever trust someone who has been underground in a bunker for decades? All of this was handled very poorly by the protagonist, and the death of 2 people could've been avoided if she was actually thinking straight.
What's the "how it should have ended"?
She didn’t actually have a proper way to identify him, as he disappeared without a trace when archer locked him up so the police database would have identified him as a regular innocent civilian who randomly disappeared off the face of the earth
Why would Lauren let him free without confirming his identity? : WOMEN 😀😅😂🤣
Just blame it on the detective working like a tortoise
Its not hard to believe, thats why people get scammed Or catfish ,right? Means she’s not bright...
Like the idea, but the fact that he just left the dude there while not telling her anything is so silly.
Also how the man jailed there pee&poo and also how about some sanity and hygiene problem?
Like.. The most that i can do is like.. 5 days. For no shower/bath. My body get so sticky and the itch so unbearable..
beyond that, I think we will start getting some skin disease. but this man here, looks fine. just old.
Exactly. Like he made a video, in advance of his death, about the man but gave no mention of how or why he was there, so she could be aware
Exactly... not believable at all.
@@DBT1007 Right. Being in that damp dark place for decades would've given him some serious health problems
@@DBT1007 nah some indian folks and habsburg kings didn't shower for years, but the sanity thing is definitely true
She got 1/20th of the inheritance and a mystery serial killer.
1 of 20 siblings
Oh dear😫
"We will pay you million bucks to defend this guy"
"No sorry I defend only people who were confirmed to be innocent"
How tf she knows who's criminal and who's innocent? Her job is to literally prove innocent, if innocence is proven then there's no point of going to court. Who are her clients.
Also her dads a billionare lol.
Turning down 1m when u come from that much money is much easier…
Also even the guilty ones deserve a defense that ensures a fair trial and fair sentence,
Ditto. I hate it when movies glorify this kind of selfish virtue signalling... it is more honourable to represent anyone without any bias so that the justice system as a whole works.
Technically you could do your own research into their case, but that would be rather time consuming. And guilty clients can lie to their lawyers.
No, her job is to give clients the best outcome in court. People can admit to a crime and a defendant tries to lower the punishment they receive. And there are people who use their money to get a unreasonably mild punishment by using expensive lawyers to complicate everything or ask for their best dirty tricks. In that case its a valid statement saying she doesnt want to fight for an guilty person who just makes use of his wealth
Would have been helpful on the USB video where he gives her a key to a secret bunker , to tell her the persons real name so that she wouldn't free a person down there who is a serial killer who raped your mum
RIGHT
Error: logical thing
Well considering he prattled away to this monster giving away intricate detail on all of his family, we cannot expect logic from this man.
Clearly the stupidity runs in the family.
Oh my gosh, you're right! At the end, I was thinking "why didn't she just wait for his file to come in?" But damn that makes the whole film even dumber.
@@warman1944 she had a massive women moment
Thats why her brother got 20 million more than.
There wouldn't be a story if this happened, but she should of just straight up called the police right at the start and let them sort it out. They would of searched the entire place and likely found the poison and connected it back to the fathers death too.
But shes a good person/Woke Leftist...
Which means she constantly talks about everyone else being evil and how they must be good.. While she destroys anyone that would hurt her comfort..
Like the open borders people who say that their are empty homes evwrywhere but refuse when peiple say they should take them in..
And they could easily check his background
And there went the movie.
Then it would be a short film lol. Character never act rationally in these movies, even though they're set up to be really smart i.e. a high power attorney though she has an IQ of 80.
The amount of grammatical mistakes in this one comment made me cringe so hard...
If you have seen The Boys you can never look at the guy who plays the brother the same way again.
What did The Boys do to the actor’s image?

A district attorney so stupid is amazing to me. And a detective who can't find shit until so many days😂
The first 20 seconds go against everything a lawyer is lmao
No matter if it's a criminal, guilty or innocent, the role of a lawyer is to assure a fair treatment and sentence, and not a pillory
That's not in any way true! Lol. The defense lawyers' duty is to instill doubt, create sufficient uncertainty and is (Edit, "in no") way seeking an appropriate sentence in response to the alleged crimes. His goal, whether he knows or suspects his client is innocent or guilty is a dismissal, a not-guilty verdict or seeking the most lenient result possible, etc... And the crown does almost exactly the opposite.
Ye like the guy above me said but in more simple terms, a lawyer is not at all looking for justice, they are looking for their client to get the best possible outcome, that's what they get paid for
It's a movie. Hollywood writer don't do research
A lawyers job is to defend the clients, in the free world, there are laws enshrining your rights to a lawyer, for the purpose of fair treatment and fair sentencing.
Lawyers are there to understand the nuance of the law on behalf of the client and using that understanding to try and free the client of the worst charges, if not all
Someone who made script has very poor knowledge and skill. That's one of the worst stories I ever heard.
Keep up the good work!
Lighting gasoline in an enclosed space seems a great idea :-).
Also, it is difficult to burn an underground bunker "to the ground."
Enjoyed the humor!
So you're saying a successful lawyer who is surrounded by liars trust an unknown man. Even if she had doubts she couldn't wait for dna results. A simple confirmation.
Thanks for covering this movie so we don't have to watch this nonsensical garbage, love your humour too! :)
How could have Morgan known that William was bribing unions while locked away in a bunker?
By the same magic that created the entire movie plot to begin with.
the movie director told him
How many plot twists do you want?
yes.
These are so entertaining keep up the good work
Would be a better twist at the end if she knew it all along... And is just extracting lies/information from the suspect.. This will fit the theme more rather than the naive portrayal of the attorney..
And they all clapped out and had a ball.
she had twins and they both became THEYS, one President of USA, the Other Is-Ra-El, they then took over the world, bombed and killed everyone with 100x over priced weapons, the profits of which they invested in Bitcoin, which because the Twins were born underground, they could mind-hack the blockchain, and so until the Alien space craft arrived with Ezekiel on board, they were finer than ever.
Love your recaps! Any chance you can do movie 187 with Samuel L jackson? Thanks for your content

They burned the underground concrete bunker to the ground? So it burned UP?
hey mystery recapped did you make the piranha 3d plss i like it
her being the serial killers daughter kinda explains why she got less inheritance, that's gotta be a sour note knowing that all along or at least suspecting it
I remember watching this movie 💀
I know he's a killer but, when he said that he missed her mother's funeral because of that confinemen, idk if that's true or not, but if it's true, that would be so sad,.
I mean how would he even know for sure that she's dead? Based on this video that guy knew WAY too much about what happened in the 3 decades he was locked up.
its stupid of her to release him before getting his file...
that was twisted and weird
good thing i watched whole movie in 12 mins i never need to thanks mystery recapped
pretty sure lawyers cant just deny clients because they think they are guilty....holy shit, thats prime disbarring basis, how well can a lawyer expect to defend someone if they let their personal ideas get in the way of the job?shes even mad at anothother lawyer for not breaking client confidentiality LOL,wow...wait....SHES A DISTRICT ATTORNEY?? LMAO,holy shit this woman is deranged...you know what she could have done if she has issues with potential guilty client? DONT PRACTICE CRIMINAL LAW
first time i heard you laugh because you mostly are dead serious:)
How can you burn an underground structure to the ground?
concrete can burn if you have enough kindling to make the fire very hot.
Destroying the bunker is not a good idea. You are going to possibly need it in 2023 or later.
Considering that a man was kept there without a toilet for 30 years, I would also burn it as a first step of a big cleanup 😂
After a proper entrance door is needed, because what we seen here is ok for a water-meter shaft, but not for an apocalypse-bunker 😄
i mean still have the real estate just gotta resupply stuff
Ugh. Y’all are exhausting. If you’re tired of life, then “take care of yourself”.
Stop wishing the rest of us burn because YOU’RE unhappy. 🙄
I'm. In. 2023😅😅😅
@@Furgettyu no toilet?
This is such an original movie, I don't know why I have heard of this. Why more people don't talk about movies like this, but the only movies people talk about are the basic boring movies that just keep getting rebooted over and over.
Nice idea, full of plot holes
This movie stinks bro 😂😅
Omg the bill joke hahaha
Name of show??
These movies with their giant plotholes. I love how you toss in little sarcastic comments here and there.
Tha'ts exactly what a sane person does - not calling the police immediately - just going on with her day thinking what she should do.
truly a classic 🤑🤑
More lawyers are realizing that they can be super famous and influential on social media when they're against the norm of poor morals and show integrity.
That's such a weird take. Even IF you could tell if someone accused of a crime is innocent or not (which is, obvciously, the result of the court proceedings, and not something to decide proir just out of gut feeling) - thinking a lawyer shouldn't defend guilty people is just mob justice all over again.
those lawyers are gonna get disbarred, its unethical as hell to do that, maybe they should become climate activists instead of lawyers
Those lawyers are dumb AF that's just unethical unprofessional and that behavior is pure narcissism "praise me and give me likes for being unethical pls"
@@deenman23 lawyers are free to take whatever clients they want (though maybe state appointed lawyers have less freedom on this?). But yeah the stance is almost certainly not practical.
how did this guy survived all these years without any food and water, a loop hole in the story
I'm not a successful lawyer but I am not that naïve. lol
Asm a lawyer she should have known that by not immediately reporting the situation of the man to authorities that she became complicit in the crime of false imprisonment.
I can't believe a high power lawyer let herself get manipulated by a serial killer.
"...."
"Police left the chat"
Is it burning it to the ground when it's underground?
Not sure. Maybe it's burning down the house?
God I love the narrator without his input I'd only be half es good haha
Reminds me a little of the Twilight Zone ep, "The Howling Man".
What the movie didn't told was that the first victim of the serial killer was the logic of this movie.
Wow!
WHAT a TWIST!
Poker? Oh, that happened multiple times after the card game.
Where did he get the poison in the first place?
30 years in confinement and yet he knows that her brother is bribing.
My brain has turned to mush.
How did Bunkerman know all that stuff while being locked away for decades?
This is why movies fail

When the only way to make a movie work is for main characters to be naive or just stupid...
Very "Count of Monte Cristo".
Can't ever see Simon Pegg as a ruthless serial killer 😂
I didn't even notice it was him right away lol. Very convicing.

That was cheerful. I inherited a sense of rhythm and a decent singing voice. Perhaps a talent for piano, some competence for guitar and drums, and the ability to detect BS. This movie is about something else. Eek. $0.02
She got a vampire
Damn didn't know that the deep was a lawyer
dang that sucks her
got people killed for no telling more about the situation and knowing what happened to her mum, depressing life

Why didn't she just call the police?
Oh that's the reason why she only gets 1 million dollar for inheretance
I thought this wouod be about a nuclear war or something but it was a serial killer locked up for 3 decades 😂

Man, I hate it when movies have such boring predictable endings. The killer should have won. He was confined for 3 decades. Killer or not, the movie should have at least partially vindicated him for it. I guess the father's death is kinda that but... It didn't really happen during the actual plot of the movie, it's more of a backstory, it doesn't feel the same.
its story of the wanna moral upright people who react more to things rather than sit still and wait for things to unfold

Pretty shit lawyer not taking a case to defend a guilty man. The most horrible, irredeemable person with unquestionable guilt deserves good representation. It makes sure proper procedures are followed, which, on top of being fair, also helps to limit later appeals on basis of poor procedure.
