Thanks Richard, now I know why I can only get half a cup of tea out of my tea pot Ile get it sorted. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. You now need to send a bill to the EA for the work you have done.
Great video Richard and well done for having the balls to take matters into your ow hands.. you should send them an invoice for it.. Keep up the good work, your a credit to farming 👍
Hi Richard I work for Stockdale at Scarborough. We have been loading spuds out of Scotland and it’s bloody hart braking up there with the amount of rain they have had.
Hi Richard I agree totally with your every word, when my dad was on the farm every year at this time they dug ditches out by hand we didn't get floods like we are getting. As for wildlife all we are doing is drowning them Regards
Its about time the EA were held accountable where flooding is worsened by their lack of intervention. As soon as they are forced to pay you guys compensation the quicker you will see an improvement. Another bloody department that is not fit for purpose as it stands.
You are so right, young man, I wish other people would listen to you i've been saying this for months, walk the streams and the ditches out like the use too, we wouldn't have half the trouble we've got
I agree your comments about EA. Down here in Worcestershire they spend millions putting in movable flood barriers then don't get them erected in time, consequently houses flooded. I liked your comparison with tea pot😂
Hi Richard as i have said before the e a wont to hold up the water so it floods on your land instead of building barriers clean the rivers if they flow faster they stay clean longer the Somerset levels haven't flooded since they cleaned it out well bgr me
I really agree with your thoughts when you are battling such weather and also having to deal with the nonsense from official bodies. What use is the EA? It is not fit for purpose; it doesn't stop raw sewage being poured into rivers by water companies, it doesn't stop development on floodplains and hard surfaces in urban areas causing flash-flooding. Years ago farm workers would have spent half the winter ditching and clearing culverts, it's obvious water courses need to be maintained. But I think bodies such as the EA are quite sinister as their agenda is that farmland is expendable and haven't got a clue about the real world. Thank you for the great videos, keep up the good work and good luck.
Great video Richard taking the bull by the balls and doing something to get water flowing. Digging grips into field lve done many times in the past. Surprising how much water can be removed over 24 hours from fields
Great video Richard, bloody atrocious weather.Glad your not afraid to get the digger out and help the situation out, like you say the envioronment agency wont do **** all.Hope your recent drilled seeds pull through, looks like you might have to give up on direct drilling.
When it was the rivers authority the rivers were immaculate and flowed as they should then the EA came about and it all went to shiiite, doesn't help all the houses they build on flood plains! Great job though mate
I work for the environment agency and I do there machine work and the problem is half the farmers won’t let us on there land to clean out the rivers, but they are quick enough to moan when their fields are flooding. We only look after the main rivers not side ditches
Probably did yourself a favour with the wheelings when you sprayed. I'd guess it helped the water get to the gully. Fingers crossed the drilling survives 👍🏻🤞🏻
Surely the drainage ditches are there to drain water . The fact that any wildlife has taken up residence in the ditches shouldn't have any bearing whatsoever. EA more concerned with keeping the green lot happy than looking after you farmer.
Richard as you know the water board as it was in the good old days use to see to all this ,now the French Chinese Japanese or who ever taking profit and not doing any of the remedial work that goes with it
Same here in Ireland , the EPA went up along a river which runs through one of our farms and they had a brand new digger with a long reach boom which the driver told me cost €300,000 and all they done was pulled a few reeds off and put them up on the bank and it took them almost a week to do what I could do in a day 😡 a crowd of clowns on big wages
Don’t understand why they don’t pay local farmers to maintain the water ways. Give them clear guidelines around when to clean, what they can removed etc. Farmers best places to look after this.
Richard good on you all farmers should Stand together do what's right for your land totally agree with you
Thanks Richard, now I know why I can only get half a cup of tea out of my tea pot Ile get it sorted. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Keep up the good work, your a credit to farming 👍
Well said Richard. EA not fit for purpose. River Derwent below us in a right state full of silt and blocked by fallen trees
Well done Richard you are completely right 👍🏻 love your videos
Great rant love it well done mate 😊
Hi Richard I work for Stockdale at Scarborough. We have been loading spuds out of Scotland and it’s bloody hart braking up there with the amount of rain they have had.
Good to see and hear a real farmer keep on battling on
100% agree if you don’t look after your own land no one else will
Hi Richard I agree totally with your every word, when my dad was on the farm every year at this time they dug ditches out by hand we didn't get floods like we are getting.

The ea needs to watch what happened when you cleared that culvert! Shows what even a tiny bit of maintainance can do
Top job Richard. Oh and let’s keep building houses on low lying ground 🙄
Nice bit of ditch cleaning great video 👍
Great video Richard, bloody atrocious weather.Glad your not afraid to get the digger out and help the situation out, like you say the envioronment agency wont do **** all.Hope your recent drilled seeds pull through, looks like you might have to give up on direct drilling.
Great rant Richard all you Farmers need to stand up to the EA and tell them to F off they could not run a bath.
Richard does more with a digger in a 21 minute film than the EA have done in a year.
Great job seeing that water finally moving in the ditch. When talking about the authorities, I need a steel pipe to bite on. 😤
We need people like you working at the EA well done Mate
bravo Richard, call it like it is
Love it Richard. 170mm in Rotherham that 48 hours. Hope you are ok.
wish i could give this vlog more than a thumbs up !! Totally agree Richard Worlds gone mad when funding directed at insects instead of Humans 😳
Just wondering what you have used to make them gullies,If you can show us that would be much appreciated, cheers, great channel by the way👍
There is more wildlife killed when it does flood. That's what the EA doesn't understand. Keep up the good work.
E A are absolutely a total waste of time and taxpayers money Richard
well said every word totally true
Richard would it be worth sending the E A a invoice for your work
They would rather spend our £millions on prosecuting farmers than on real work.
When it was the rivers authority the rivers were immaculate and flowed as they should then the EA came about and it all went to shiiite, doesn't help all the houses they build on flood plains! Great job though mate
Weather and the weather are always at odds with each other. We hope that your weather will improve.
Excellent job!
I work for the environment agency and I do there machine work and the problem is half the farmers won’t let us on there land to clean out the rivers, but they are quick enough to moan when their fields are flooding. We only look after the main rivers not side ditches
Top man Thanks for posting.
Environment agency couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery you did right job
Hi you talk lot of truth top man
When will the F--in useless E A take notice of you lads.Well done Richard
When EA employ more pen pushers than field workers, nowt will get done.
Feed that digger a few shims and a bit of grease for goodness sake. Love the videos
Probably did yourself a favour with the wheelings when you sprayed. I'd guess it helped the water get to the gully. Fingers crossed the drilling survives 👍🏻🤞🏻
Hit nail on head lad, more like you needing job done👍, first class video
Well said
Driving between pock and weighton this morning it’s been a long time since I’ve seen this much water in the fields
Hope you billed them when you finished 👍
And when it’s all under water the wild life is dead anyway! Clean the ditch out
Don't pull your punches lad and tell em like it is. 👍
Even the wildlife doesn’t like getting flooded out, they want stable areas!
Surely the drainage ditches are there to drain water . The fact that any wildlife has taken up residence in the ditches shouldn't have any bearing whatsoever.
EA more concerned with keeping the green lot happy than looking after you farmer.
Richard as you know the water board as it was in the good old days use to see to all this ,now the French Chinese Japanese or who ever taking profit and not doing any of the remedial work that goes with it
Great insight to british farming, no bullsh*t video, leave phil the camera incase your working for the king.
Excellent job done mate 👍 stuff e.a there useless
What web page for macheriny can't get up
I share your pain ord lad, what a pain in the arse of a season
The main problem is the EA and the public think it's the countryside when it's actually farmland...
It needs maintaining

Oh no, I always really enjoyed your videos. Hopefully see you again after your 15yr sentence 😢

Cock on mate, we got well flooded in Chesterfield.
Don’t understand why they don’t pay local farmers to maintain the water ways. Give them clear guidelines around when to clean, what they can removed etc.
Farmers best places to look after this.
i dont think anyone in uk got any thing to say good about EA TWATS
Bloody EA, not fit for purpose
