Harland is pointing to a creative connection that goes beyond words. He’s a real teacher. May he continue to enjoy the fulfilling connection and share it with us - I think his humour and abilities are magnificent, brilliant. Mystics speak of it. 🙏
I’m going to document how much I enjoyed Harland today in my cinnamon journal. Very thankful that he surrenders to the flow that guides him. Great episode!
So good, you can tell when rick goes serious question mode because he is genuinely interested. But when you catch a beautiful butterfly like Harland you have to realize he's a go with the flow let's feed off each other type energy. And he seems like that's him, a rare gem that just enjoys himself in the moment and a legit human being. Looove this combo. Give us a TYSO harland card Rick!
You two together is awesome. No awkwardness and no lectures… nvm I’m at the middle now. Hey this podcast is so good let’s discuss how we can make it suck
It was great until Rick tried to break down and know about Harland se-real side... As soon as I felt some resistance from Harland, I was like ehhhh, this is getting awkward.
I've never seen someone be able to make Harland go serious before. It kinda felt dirty that rick kept pushing for it when he clearly felt uncomfortable
The fact that Rick got Harland that close to the 4th wall is a testament to Rick’s genius. The smiles and laughs from Harland was definitely telling of how Rick was navigating it. This was a fantastic episode for us 90’s comedy kids. Can’t wait for the Jim Carrey ep 😉
🎙 "Check, check, write me a check." 🤣 LMFAO I love Harland so much 🥰 He never fails 👏 I love you too, Ricky! It's always a great episode when the 2 amigos are together 👬🏻
Rick says he needs to be aware of stepping on other people while he steps on Harland basically for 30 minutes of the middle / end of the episode. Completely unaware.
And the icing on the cake is after that he proceeds to tell Harland that HARLAND is controlling on The Harland Highway and doesn't leave enough room for Rick to contribute "all of his stuff" to the podcast. The irony
Anyone else wondering how they were going to keep the continuity with the Cactus Cooler and then Rick says he had one post-mated to the pod 😂 that was damned genius. #TheLittleThings
So much is said using so little actual definitions, and it's just so beautiful. It's like, 'on the fly defining abstract concepts that we all understand with our own internal world view' type of vibe. Love these guys and this subject matter so much. Thank you Rick and thank you Harland!
This was one of the most amazing exchanges ive ever seen. Most people wont get this. But it was so beautiful in so many ways. What a joy to watch. So educational. I learned so much from this exchange about Rick, about Harland, about myself and about my fellow earthlings. Super cool. This might go down as my single most favorite sit down iver ever witnessed. Really fascinating to me.
Rick, just let the guy be himself. Why the need to psychoanalyse? Took the fun right out of him. I hope you watch this episode and realize you did the same thing you were afraid of (crossing boundaries).
I thought that the first time, but after familiarizing myself with Harland more thoroughly, then watching this hilarious episode, again, I can tell you that Williams is enjoying the heady talk immensely. Because for him it's funny 😂 And others (self included). Plus, Harland dropped some wisdom. 😊
Everyone complaining about Rick’s prying. You can tell he loves Harland. It’s actually hilarious to watch him come up empty handed with the serious stuff . Nothing cringe about it.
The Greatness of Harland Williams craft is exceeded only by its mysterious origins. He also has a amazing ability to channel a dark side of himself and could potentially be far more frightening than his comedic default. I would love to see a horror project by Mr. Williams. The story about the umbilical cord used to abuse him by his father still freaks me out.
Damn this was good up into the middle. The convo took a left turn during the middle of the poddy when there was an uncomfortable vibe due to the forced topic. The 2 were great on Harlands poddy. #MaybeNextTime
7 hours til I can fully appreciate this episode, stuck at work. We all know that WATCHING an episode of TYSO is different than LISTENING to an episode.
Podcast started out hilarious but in classic Rick fashion he brings the silliness/jokes to a screeching halt at ~45 minutes in by asking Harland about when/why he chooses to act silly and when/why he chooses to act serious. 15 minutes later and he still won't take the hint and drop it, going to have to check out of this one. Was beginning to think that I should start listening to this podcast again but this made me remember why I stopped listening in the first place. I get that this is information Rick is really interested in knowing but for sure would've been a better thing to discuss off-air instead of completely interrupting their comedic flow/riffing.
I feel ya. I'm down to watching only when it's a guest I really like. But this one is hard. Over 4 months later and I'm only an 1 hour and 27 minutes in.
Was the whole part where Rick was quizzing Harland about the "different Harlands" a bit or was Rick really trying to analyze it. If not a total bit, I completely understand where Harland was coming from I think. I know I don't intentionally/consciously put on a different persona even though externally someone may see it as so. The persona just comes out based on the "stage" as Harland said. It's up to me to let that river flow or not, but I don't consciously control the direction of the river.
Harland is on the level, so much that he truly embraced what Burning man is about and I think he has always known, and he brought the meaning equally to it. I’d go just to know Harland is present.
Dude… Rick, you and Harlend are freakin hilarious together. All of your fake references and the way you guys are at a point where you play off each other is incredible! 😂 You need to do an Improv podcast with Lisa Gilroy and a podcast with more of this all day with Harland.
I don’t like how Rick seems to think he is in the same league as Harland. Harland just came there to be funny and suddenly Rick starts to dissect improv conversations. Harland was perfectly right, if you try to dissect it then the laughter dies as proved here at the mid section of the podcast. Never thought Harland would be in a podcast where I didn’t laugh but Rick managed to pull it off half way through.
Seriously! And what pissed me off even more is immediately after Rick spends ~20 minutes aggressively questioning Harland about that, he proceeds to tell Harland that HARLAND is controlling on The Harland Highway and doesn't leave enough room for Rick to contribute "all of his stuff" to the podcast. Like dude you just spent ~20 minutes interrogating this man about something he has no desire to discuss and changing the entire vibe of the podcast, and then you tell him that he's the controlling one? The irony
I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed this. I got the vibe was trying too hard the whole episode. Even in the beginning, he kept talking over Harland which is sometimes funny, but this was overkill
Rick is like Schulz in that they are comedy libtard tryhards for the pretentious reasons... guys like Harland just want to make people laugh which is doing your craft for the right reasons. The pay-off is the laughter, not the "I'm trying to get ahead/control/dictate my success". That's why there's "nothing to dissect" for him, but there is for guys like Rick and Schulz
Harland is definitely the joker, And I personally love watching you take over other peoples podcast… It’s hilarious watching them, trying to figure it out 🤣 besides, it’s what sets you apart from other guest. It’s a good thing.
Enjoyed the whole thing, even Rick probing in the middle was funny because Harland was just not going to go there lol. I liked the serious side of things. Cinnamon Angels
I don’t use the word “literally” very often, as I find it to be a bit of a blanketed statement. But, I literally feel spoiled whenever I see these two on a podshow together. Whether the shoes are off, or we’re on the highway, I know I’m about to have a grand ole, silly goose time. Love you both so, so much. Thank you!!!🫶🏼🙌🏼
I really enjoyed Harlan not breaking down his magic into words.... Its deep and very interesting. ❤❤❤❤ I dont think i have ever seen someone show a boundary in such an attractive blobby way. 😂 I learned something from that.

the "well, if you're gonna laugh..." always gets me. Harland is the best and wacky improv bits are the best.
Every time! So simple…yet 🤣
Sir, if you can look away, I'm trying to do a show here. That's another good one
You two together is awesome. No awkwardness and no lectures… nvm I’m at the middle now. Hey this podcast is so good let’s discuss how we can make it suck
Rick "i've been in a windstorm"
Harland "yeah you look like you have, your hair looks completely fucked"
2nd half is Harland playing the patient uncle to their nephew who wants to explain linkin park lyrics to him
Jesús Rick read the room
I relate to Harlands inability to not laugh when opening up... like a knee jerk reaction
The best duo in the podcasting game! Love it whenever they are together.
It was great until Rick tried to break down and know about Harland se-real side... As soon as I felt some resistance from Harland, I was like ehhhh, this is getting awkward.
Classic Rick...
Guest: I could give two shits
Rick: Let's talk about it for an hour
Saw Harland Williams on Kill Tony first- what a legend. He is so cool, new Great in my books.
I saw him first as a kid in Dumb and Dumber as the cop who drank piss lol
Wow, that's him???! :D he is the best! so so cool :)
I've never seen someone be able to make Harland go serious before. It kinda felt dirty that rick kept pushing for it when he clearly felt uncomfortable
This is was very annoying I almost turned off the pod
@@ImChrlsy0After 15 minutes of that I did turn it off, felt rude not respecting your guest's boundaries
Snowflakes.
it was far less fun to watch/listen - why get a comedian on then force them to not do their thing?
@@johnd1047you are so cool
Time to sit back, relax and let the anxiety take over my body
The fact that Rick got Harland that close to the 4th wall is a testament to Rick’s genius. The smiles and laughs from Harland was definitely telling of how Rick was navigating it. This was a fantastic episode for us 90’s comedy kids. Can’t wait for the Jim Carrey ep 😉
I felt like the ad breaks were actual breaks from insanity, love it all.
🎙 "Check, check, write me a check." 🤣 LMFAO I love Harland so much 🥰 He never fails 👏 I love you too, Ricky! It's always a great episode when the 2 amigos are together 👬🏻
Imagine how f**king fun your childhood would be if Harland was your dad. Every day would be like a Dr Seuss book.
Rick says he needs to be aware of stepping on other people while he steps on Harland basically for 30 minutes of the middle / end of the episode. Completely unaware.
Such a bummer cuz it was so good up until then. Still love these two
And the icing on the cake is after that he proceeds to tell Harland that HARLAND is controlling on The Harland Highway and doesn't leave enough room for Rick to contribute "all of his stuff" to the podcast. The irony
I mean... Autism
rick really didnt stfu for 30 minutes.
Wild 😂
“well if you’re just going to laugh at me…”
is such a blanketed statement
I will always tune in for Harland
It might sound fucked up, but i dont care about ricks feelings, i just came here to see rick and harland play and be funny. Is that wrong of me ?
No thanks I’m straight
Ahhhhhh Yeeeeaaaahhhh! Harland and Glassman! The perfect mix of madness.
Anyone else wondering how they were going to keep the continuity with the Cactus Cooler and then Rick says he had one post-mated to the pod 😂 that was damned genius. #TheLittleThings
Impeccable marketing! I desperately want a Cactus Cooler now. I love the dynamic between you two! ❤
when i tell you how happy this makes me. I am just cricketing my little ankles together watching with such a smile. the most joyous duo
Best podcast in the game. Legit was watching a different podcast and saw this posted with Harland as the guest and had to table the other one.
Harland : "i dont write"
Me : *looks over at three Harland williams books*
At least four now, the newest one is really great.
I just cant. This shit is so dope.
Some day Harland's biographer is going to have to sort through all that stuff grilling Harland about his process to find any usable quotes
So much is said using so little actual definitions, and it's just so beautiful. It's like, 'on the fly defining abstract concepts that we all understand with our own internal world view' type of vibe. Love these guys and this subject matter so much. Thank you Rick and thank you Harland!
well said....these guys carried the thread of something so abstract with such care...
RIck and Lisa flowing about JC is moment of the year
A part of this was brutal to watch / listen lol
Thank you for this. Always fuckin incredible with Harbling.
Everyone complaining about Rick’s prying. You can tell he loves Harland. It’s actually hilarious to watch him come up empty handed with the serious stuff . Nothing cringe about it.
There are few things that make me as happy as a Harland and Rick episode
The Greatness of Harland Williams craft is exceeded only by its mysterious origins. He also has a amazing ability to channel a dark side of himself and could potentially be far more frightening than his comedic default. I would love to see a horror project by Mr. Williams. The story about the umbilical cord used to abuse him by his father still freaks me out.
Harland is back on TYSO!!! Love their Team-Up episodes 🙌🙌🙌
Damn this was good up into the middle. The convo took a left turn during the middle of the poddy when there was an uncomfortable vibe due to the forced topic. The 2 were great on Harlands poddy. #MaybeNextTime
Maybe one day Rick could release all his songs he's done here. They'd all end up on a playlist for me.
7 hours til I can fully appreciate this episode, stuck at work. We all know that WATCHING an episode of TYSO is different than LISTENING to an episode.
Harland’s in a silly mood, Rick isn’t. Maybe its the cleanse 😂❤️
Harlans is the best. I love him and how he treats things.
always love to see these 2 together. there are no 2 other podcasters who do bits as much, i adore it.
Absolutely love how this podcast is structured. It's like my brain. ALL OVER THE PLACE but centered sometimes 😂
58:40 The grin on Hartland. This whole conversation is soooo fascinating! Hartland is a pure genius when it comes to comedy. Holy!
Calm down. It's not that amazing.
Harland’s TYSO card should definitely be Gindeldorf
By far, your BEST GUEST, as always.
I mean he is autistic and has no self awareness or inkling of social cues
These 2 guys are so good together, always puts me in a good mood.
2:08 i just love this man 😂
Such a goofy goose
HARLAN IS SE-VEEER-LY (sic) UNDERRATED
Rick killed momentum big time
Was the whole part where Rick was quizzing Harland about the "different Harlands" a bit or was Rick really trying to analyze it. Harland has the best smile ❤
Harland is on the level, so much that he truly embraced what Burning man is about and I think he has always known, and he brought the meaning equally to it. I’d go just to know Harland is present.

These podcasts are getting harder and harder to watch lol 😅
Them talking about the reality vs showmanship part is really good ! Love these two
Harland is like the Ram Dass of comedy. Such a great and funny dude.
I don’t like how Rick seems to think he is in the same league as Harland. Harland just came there to be funny and suddenly Rick starts to dissect improv conversations. I love their chemistry. So funny!
Rick: I just wanna, I wanna make sure to...
Harland: Yeah, guy
I can't wait for Harland 4.0
It's genuinely starting to feel like 1 giant ad with a little bit of podcasting thrown in.
Rick talking and talking and talkinf when you uave a gem like harland is typical rick...
Only twenty six amazing minutes in and this is my new favorite podcast episode ever and I’m not surprised
Rick you did a great job here. Harlan did a great job here.
Explaining the yannis situation was funny and illuminating as well. 😂😂😂😂
He really likes you Rick. You gave him smirky glitter eyes more often than not. ❤
I respect Rick trying to dissect the why of Harland, but our dear Harland is an anomaly. A bright cinnamon flavored anomaly ❤❤❤❤
Harland, the harbinger of cinnamon angels, a fucking legend.
This was like 2 Chinese men chatting in bar but 1 speaking Cantonese and the other Mandarin 😂😂
Absolute faves!!!! ❤
complete insanity ...i love it!!
I love these guys
Enjoyed the whole thing, even Rick probing in the middle was funny because Harland was just not going to go there lol. I liked the serious side of things. Cinnamon Angels
Harland is the funniest man alive.
Yup
Wow.....this combo is the best.
That intro edit was incredible!
I can't wait to see the new super hero Harland card and the new custom made Ricky "Shoes Off" Glassman T-Shirt made by Harland!
"Wasn't me!" - I used to drive people insane quoting that as a kid.
This podcast is amazing on audio and 10X better with the video
Cinnamon angels, fly fly away 😇
i love these guys

Love you both so, so much. Thank you!!!🫶🏼🙌🏼
Well you used it wrong
I Loved seeing the veil lift a bit with Harland here holy shit he's a genius
"Like they have heads..." lol
Everything’s not so matter-of-fact let the Flowmaster flow don’t dissect him
My favorite duo
Best first 10 min of a pod ever 😂
I really enjoyed Harlan not breaking down his magic into words.... Its deep and very interesting. ❤❤❤❤ I dont think i have ever seen someone show a boundary in such an attractive blobby way. 😂 I learned something from that.
I like that Rick said I love you at the end. ❤
This is a very important podcast at just the right time. It's always magic when Harland has his shoes off.
@rickglassman make Harland the silver surfer!!! ♥
I’d like to imagine that Harland played with the rubix cube in complete silence for like 5 minutes 38:00
OMG this was soooo good!!!
