Hi eli fa here Absolutely helpful tips which I needed. Since I have been watching your videos I have improved band 6 to band 8 I really thank you for your supporting tips and strategies.
I think same strategies can be applied to general training. The difference between the 2 is in the scoring system. In general training if you have 34 correct answers you're band 6.5. It's assumed that General IELTS is easier than Academic and it's true but it's really challenging to get band 8 in the reading section if you're taking GT. I hope you can make a video for general training.

47:35 Question 27 is "Corporal punishment is efective in making a child compliant" so the answer is "yes" because the passage says, "Studies have shown that corporal punishment can result in immediate child obedience; however, some findings suggest that it cannot be effective in teaching self control and inductive reasoning to a child."

Hey there, thanks for sharing this :) I've got a question. At the beginning of the section (04:40 through 05:00), you quickly find the people's names in the first reading's text. Do we have to find this fast? Because this speed of finding is breakneck for me.
I am so against skimming and scanning texts, documents, etc., because students who learn to do this and continue to use these techniques at university or at work, they will never fully master one skill - reading comprehension! At one time, children used this technique in school when there were exams by test. And guess what - they had a poor vocabulary because that's how they read. That's why we say "read like a lawer". IELTS MUST to change this! It's so wrong.

if NO MORE THAN ONE WORD AND/ OR A NUMBER. the instruction is basically saying that answer should be in 1 word (AND/OR) 1 number. so yes you should write [3 MONTHS] which contain 1 number and 1 word instead of writing [THREE MONTHS] which is obviously 2 words

Yeah section 3 was tougher i still got 32 which is not that impressive but this test was difficult
