I agree with you everybody can't afford the authentic version of these babies, I order from Temu & Amazon & have had no problems & I'm very satisfied with my babies. I'm waiting on my Brown Skin pickle baby & can't wait to see him, I also ordered the doll kit because I want to do it myself & I will make her a girl. Both are sweet, but I like the hair and coloring on #1. IMHO the hair swirl is more realistic.(I have worked as a peds unit RN manager.) I was just gifted two dolls based on Maddie sculpt and it really interesting seeing the subtle differences and different interpretations . Would love to attempt painting . My biggest worry entering this realm of baby dolls is all the strife etc that is played out among some collectors . It is shameful and sad You are a breath of fresh air , love watching your calming videos .
You should try painting them. I watching some videos from “Life with Sharon B” on how to paint reborn dolls from start to finish. If I can do it then anyone can. ☺️ Also, thank you for your kind words. This hobby is therapy for me, and I do these videos to help people. Life is hard enough as it is without all the, totally unnecessary, doll drama.
Definitely like the first one better, especially the hair! I just ordered a Pickle from an artist in the U.K. He is a little red-head and because he will arrive in fall, I already named him Pumpkin....not Pickle...lol...!!!🤣 I'm so excited though!
Im going to try Temu babies. I already have paradise galleries babies. I have 6 of them and the babies on Temu look beautiful and they are so cheap i can afford one every month❤
I like the shiny face, I put some Vaseline on my reborns' lip and face and she looks so real....I hope it is ok for the vinyl....I ordered some new dolls on AliExpress, maybe some will be shiny....if not it is ok, they are beautiful regardless....

When I saw the post man walking up the street carrying a small body in a white bag , I knew it was mine!!! I can’t tell if the eyelashes are rooted or glued?!? I turned him into a girl, ofcourse I reweighted and took out some stuffing. Do you think the head is a little small for body ?!?! And I paid 72.99 tax incl. and free delivery.
I feel like the “odd man out” when it comes to the Pickle sculpt. I just don’t like the look of the arms. Like the Maddie sculpt, the arms look like tootsie rolls to me lol. I just have no interest in the sculpt, but there’s so much variety so there are so many others to choose from. I’d like to learn how to improve the replicas like Julie does. I’ve changed eyes and weighted dolls but I’m afraid to paint them.

@@TheDollyPatch that would be interesting to see. I’ve actually switched bodies/limbs on dolls and I’ve found them more pleasing. I enjoy changing things around. This hobby is an outlet for me to be creative and enjoy myself, I ignore the negativity and just focus on the fun. I respect artist rendered dolls but I wouldn’t spend hundreds of dollars for one, they’re just not that important to me. Much like I do not have original Art on my walls like a Monet or Renoir. The reproductions are “enough” for me.
Hi…I’m new to your channel! I too love that there are manufactured dolls and how nice they are…a little weight, matting and they’re just beautiful. Especially for people who can’t afford the real.
