I am not much satisfied as you still have to compromise on frame rates if you want sharper image quality. I was expecting higher fps on the pro mode but unfortunately it is lower than the PS5 performance mode. So, frame rates enthusiasts still have to stick to the regular performance mode if they want higher fps.
One of the very few times that I strongly disagree with the uploader here. Yes, the picture is q bit sharper in SOME cases if you stay still anf focus to compare BUT.... We dont play a game by staying still. In motion and in action when comparing the PS5 with PS5 pro side by side, this tiny Improved sharpness is going completely unoticed. It doesn't improve the player's experience significantly to make an obvious difference. So no PS5 Pro is not worth it for the price.

Hi. I got a question for you, I’m about to buy G4 next week, because you have two technologies of TVs at home already do you think G4 is a good option or is it better to pay a bit more and go for A95L Qd OLED ??
Ansonsten, super Videos! Danke dafür!
I think that based on the video I know the answer, but question: If the original PS5 hits 80-100 FPS on performance mode on a HDMI 2.1 120hz display, does that mean that the regular PS5 can do Quality Mode Native 4k at or close to 60fps on a 120hz display?
It looks like pssr broke after the ps5 pro day one firmware update. Many people complaining about worse picture quality due to shimmering and oversharpening even in first party titels.. I tested Miles morales, RE4, ragnarok, the 2 star wars 2 games and tloup 1&2 and they all can't resolve vegetation and other elements.
That sucks, I haven't had an issues at all, stellar blade and Spiderman 2 never looked better. Smooth and crisp! Also, when I play black myth, it doesn't lag or stutter while playing anymore like it did on ps5.. I don't think the pro is worth 200 more or, at the very least, if you want to charge me 200 more, give me the disk drive.. but I'm happy with the system overall!
Such a beautiful looking game! If only we had a different storyline for part two and had never been introduced to Abby 😅 PSSR in its first iteration is already a game changer. With improvements and upcoming games optimised for the tech, it's gonna be sweet sweet times ahead for us all.

Star Wars: Outlaws? What, I had the chance to see, so FSR ruined the picture on the basic PS5. Otherwise, I have the Pro and I'm quite happy with it. Bought it for Metal Gear Solid: Delta.
Nonsense. If you zoom a 4K image 3 times and display it full screen, you get a 720p image. And if you then upload the 720p image to RUclips in 4K the compression lost is non-existent. If this wasn't the case, it would mean that if you watch a native 4K video on RUclips and switch to 720p, the quality would have to remain exactly the same. That's how bad the compression would have to be. If this is the case, you should immediately visit an ophthalmologist or perhaps a psychiatrist. What you mention only applies to the native non-zoom image.

@bryanrivera1528 fun fact mad max is 120fps with hdr on xbox series x while that same game is 30fps with no hdr on ps5 pro. Red dead 2 is 4k native on the xboxone x ... on ps5 pro that game is 1080p with with blurry fake 1440p upscale. Titanfall 2 is 120fps 6k with hdr and pc max settings ...on ps5 pro that game is 60fps , no hdr , 1440p and mid level graphics settings. Fact is that ps5 pro in manyways isn't even on the xboxone x level.
Rain hitting objects gone on ps5 pro
Image is sharp but noise and flickering with PSSR.
The worst is Jedi survivor.
😂
Try silent hills 2!!!!
I tried Jedi Survivor with the patch and not getting the flickering and noise you're taking about. The picture looks crisp and smooth. Maybe I'm not looking for it correctly
@nitehawk-cg6jb it only happens in areas with foilage, they constantly shimmer/flicker
@@mnormansell1984silent hill isnt patched yet
And just like that, PS gets its own (albeit poor mans version) AI upscaling, and console gamers admit that its great now.
6:10 Well thats says it all good performance on both console
Its really good with everything except aliasing on thin parallel lines and grids, which for me is one of the most noticable graphical problems, but its not even a deal breaker with how much clearer everything else is
I am not much satisfied as you still have to compromise on frame rates if you want sharper image quality. I was expecting higher fps on the pro mode but unfortunately it is lower than the PS5 performance mode. So, frame rates enthusiasts still have to stick to the regular performance mode if they want higher fps.
The PS5 Pro is the best thing that could have happened for the console gaming world! ❤❤❤
Der Meister bei seinem Handwerk 👌
How many FPS does the game run in Fidelity Mode? Is it still at 30 fps? Or maybe more.
PSSR = Fizzle fizzle
Are you using unlocked frame rate option ?
Because i have vrr tv and ps5 pro , if i use fidelity mode + unlocked frame rate it runs at 60 fps
Perfecty said that's why I'm not getting it.i will wait until maybe PS6
While this is quite impressive, I'm getting the PS6 at launch to enjoy these new features and more new ones. $Until then, the PS5 slim is still the way to go for me
So i have the last of us 2 ps4 disc on my ps5, how would that work for the pro if i dont have a disc drive? I need the ps4 one installed to play the remasted one correct?basically i would have to repurchase everything all over again?
Hi. I got a question for you, I’m about to buy G4 next week, because you have two technologies of TVs at home already do you think G4 is a good option or is it better to pay a bit more and go for A95L Qd OLED ??
Check out RTings
Can you please make a video on R
Returnal I would love to see how that game looks on the pro with all those particles
Hallo, mein Freund,
VG
Samsung S95...no doubt..
LG C4 OLED
@@amat3ra5u30 @selvmortsydd Thanks for your recommendations. What about the Sony A95L?
S95 all day..
Next test game you should go for "Demon Souls" It's been 4 years later and it's still one of the best graphics ps5 game.
Ansonsten, super Videos! Danke dafür!
so no improvement in fps whatsoever...that's what I was afraid of.
It's a shame they didn't juice up the cpu
Will you be doing a review of the Last of Us Part 1 as well? Thanks!
Is Pssr an option to enable on the Ps5 pro? Cause I still see the same settings 😮
It's automatically enabled from my understanding (don't own a pro just watched a shit tonne of reviews)
What brand/model of your TV? Thank you
So many people complaining but it's an amazing console that's why it's sellling so well. I just wish they had like one ps5 pro only launch title.
They can't make a game that only runs on the Pro console
There's never gonna be a PS5 pro only game. You didn't actually believe that was gonna happen did you?
@@MichaelM28 no but they can make games like gta 6 run at 60 fps only on the pro if that happens trust everyone is going to be buying a pro
Even scalpers are selling this at a loss. No one gives a shit about an overprice console where that forced to look for differences with 4x zoom.
LG CX VRR menu doesn’t seem to show the correct FPS. It did with my original ps5?
Amazing vídeo pls spider man 2 next
I think that based on the video I know the answer, but question: If the original PS5 hits 80-100 FPS on performance mode on a HDMI 2.1 120hz display, does that mean that the regular PS5 can do Quality Mode Native 4k at or close to 60fps on a 120hz display?
U have to do jedi survivor is the best looking game i ever saw on a console
So what is causing the background noise ? PSSR not optimised well or ?
Im still waiting for the PC port😅 4k 120fps.
For achieving the exclusive "PRO" setting for this game, do you need 1440p Capability? - You see I have 120Hz plus VRR, but no 1440p on my TV.
What is your sharpness setting on the TV?
Pro mode with unlocked vrr have somtimes lower resolution ? Better play pro mode in 60 fps or pro mode with unlock vrr ?
@@asoto718So wukong stutters in ps5 tryna buy a slim will be playing 2K monitor will it still lag ?
Your coverage has been better than Digital Foundry. They are asleep at the wheel and resting on their reputation
But to be fair , I can't do the indeep testing they do.
Such a beautiful looking game! If only we had a different storyline for part two and had never been introduced to Abby 😅
PSSR in its first iteration is already a game changer. With improvements and upcoming games optimised for the tech, it's gonna be sweet sweet times ahead for us all.
I love my pro not even a thought crossed my mind if it was not gonna be worth it!
So I'm looking to pick a new TV for my pro. I currently have the TCL R646, but VRR has a lot of ghosting. What would you recommend? Im looking for 55 inch for my bedroom.
Really depends on your price range. I have a Sony A80L 55inch. I sit around 6 away from my TV so I should pick up on the inproved picture when I get my PRO at the end of the month. Im keeping my PS5 phat. Moving it to my GFs after I get a Disc Drive for the PRO
@@dragonsoul30 im doing the same. Giving the ps5 to my wife. I would say $1500 hard cap. I also have a comfortable chair I can pull up and game pretty close to see all the pixels lol.
@@TheAbvsyork I'm in the UK, got my A80L for £1400 but had the option of paying across 12 installments with no interest. Still got 5 more payments to settle. Best TV I've owned but I know there are better models and makes out there. I hear the LGC or G series OLED are good. If you like Mini LED then heard good things about the Bravia 7
@dragonsoul30 I’ve never had a mini LED. I’ll have to look into all that. I appreciate it. My TV has local dimming, so the contrast is great for an LED. I really like the brightness, but the VRR is broken it creates this odd ghosting that is extremely irritating 😆
Is that a 55’inch tv u use , or is it 48’inch ?
It's 65inch
Hey can u please test the pro vs regular on black ops 6, specifically performance mode in multiplayer, vault map and lowpoint, the resolution its running at, is it dynamic n whats the ranges? N are the graphics settings higher? Is it more of a locked 120 fps? Thanks.
It would be perfect if it didn’t have bad VRR flickering in dark scenes. Playing at a locked 60 for now
The difference does not justify the price.
Doesn't the2tb ssd covers a good portion of the $200 price difference? Research online these average between $150 to $190 plus tax.
You can always buy Xbox Series S.
@ Xbox series s? I’d rather pay 3x the price of a ps5 pro on a pc and use it for the coming 10 years.
@ Sure, so where is the disk drive?
@@RS_0747 not sure I understand. You mentioned not worth 200 dollars difference. But the solid state drive for storage is about 75% of the price difference. If they would have made a disk drive version the cost would have been more than two hundred dollars difference. Just a thought 🤔. Cheers
The greatest game of all time
Star Wars: Outlaws? What, I had the chance to see, so FSR ruined the picture on the basic PS5. Otherwise, I have the Pro and I'm quite happy with it. Bought it for Metal Gear Solid: Delta.
Difference is most noticeable in person I agree, RUclips ruins the looks of these new games
Could you test spider man 2 next ? With all performance modes and unlocked frame rate ?
If you are playing on a 27 inch monitor or a 50 inch tv, its not worth it. 65 and up hell ya! Its very noticeable for me in my 77 C1 oled
hoping you test jedi survivor soon as the performance mode got a huge upgrade
Do you need to set hdr the same as the ps5 on the C1
I need help, looks like my LG G4 is locked on 60fps?
only lose around 4-5 fps in the same area from performances mode, but the same image quality with graphic mode. wow
it's not too suprising considering Sony has the best image processing amongst high end TV's. the future of console gaming looks bright with the aid of AI upscalling and frame generation. We may finally see in the PS6 a true 4k60 machine on ALL games at a minimum.
you will never see TRUE 4k again with ai upscalers
@@sneakysnake3344 Yeah I know but that's not what I meant. I mean 1080/1440p to 4K upscale which will look very good with PSSR. And not 505p to 4k like Dragon age lol. looks like ASS on a 4k screen
Insane
Im not paying 700 quid just for slighty better graphics etc i will wait UNTILL PS6❤
Will pssr be upgradable in the ps5 pro per updates or will we see a newer version only in the ps6 then
Does he test the unlocked frame rate option?
Is the remastered or the original of ps4?
So does the Pro mode give you Quality or Performance?
Combination. Quality image, but with Performace mode FPS with help from AI (PSSR)
Im on Samsung S95C and Ps5 Pro. I have in Last 2 the game on Pro mode, but do I have to have the "Unlocked Framerate" On or Off with my S95C?
So dont need to chose performance mode on ps5 pro animore ?
Shouldn't you be comparing the pro mode to the fidelity mode lol I mean of course the pro mode is ganna look better than performance
Is you use the old performance mode on the ps5 pro you will get almost 120 fps lock.
Avez-vous du coil whine ?
Does 120fps fell a lot better than 60fps ?
I no going from 30 to 60 feels a lot better , I just couldn’t imagine 120 lol
A nice tv you will feel the difference also ps5 can still do 120 but they locked them up to60fps while we play in 30fps so pro is just the unlocked version good yes but not much difference unless you really want to spend money and get more fps
