- In today's video, I go over Ubisoft's NEWEST project, Star Wars Outlaws.... and how it might FLOP for Disney. This game could potentially be fun, but basing it off of the first 10 minutes revealed by IGN... it's not looking too good.

IGN has been screwing up reveals for years. They did it with Sonic frontiers, but that game recovered with some stellar marketing. I'm not sure this will though, thankfully.

In SW Outlaws defense, you shouldn't look to IGN for anything rating wise regardless of the game..
It doesn’t seem like there’s anything about Outlaws fans can latch onto. In Fallen Order, you’re practically fighting for survival against a newly established, all-powerful galactic regime that wants nothing more than your death at the hands of Darth Vader. It feels like what you’re doing is meaningful - that your actions can impact the state and influence the future of the galaxy as a whole. This just doesn’t come across that way. I’m not saying video games like this can’t explore new areas of the galaxy, but if they isolate themselves to one corner of the galaxy as the gameplay suggests, that feeling of importance starts to become less apparent.

Well just to show you the other perspective. While I do kind of agree Fallen Order's gameplay was an immediate turn off for me & it also didn't look great. I finish Survivor which everyone says was worse (& my god were the maps/game design bad) but it looked better. Outlaws looks pretty darn bad in my play through but I have yet to get past level one with Fallen Order. I feel people like Fallen Order which is fine but there's more things then just the antagonists that go into a game's likeabiltiy...not to mention I pretty strongly disliked Cal Kestis look, at least Outlaws has a better look (even if it's not well developed)

I'll stick to remasters and Lego games when it comes to Star Wars.
I bought the Dark Forces Remaster, it was fun.
I bought the Battlefront 1&2 Remaster, it was fun.
I'm playing Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, it's fun.
Hell, I'll get the Bounty Hunter Remaster before playing this game.
A lot of people have a hate for a game like this because its not a jedi does anyone remember the game that was going to be 1212 look it up. Look not every star wars game has to be about a jedi it about expanding the Star Wars universe makjng new and different characters

At this point, my interest for anything Star Wars, in any form of media, is just complete and utter apathy.
I dont understand how hard it is for them just to make a game similar to Bounty hunter on the PS2. I swear if they made something remotely similar it would not get this kind of treatment.

I agree they need to take more time to polish this. There are some cool mechanics and ideas here, but it just looks and feels rushed.
Why hasn’t this channel made a vid on it now that’s it’s released? Doubt the game has even been played..This is just as lazy as ubisoft can be..

you should be able to create your own character, like play an alien species or something, but having it locked and being single player, im skipping this, it doesnt look good.

Opem world star wars game. Chose factiom beteen bounty hunter jedi or sith customize blaster jet pack double wield pistiol for bounty hunters diffent class shifts. Fly take through space through planet. Like star citizen man ship raid players base or bord players as bounty humter.sith class make have double light saber difdent kinds. Differnt skills for them and same have differnt ships cutoimize charvaters how we want. Same for jedi. Diffent mission. For ech one. All pvp mission

I know the game is not 100% best, but respect the devs for putting over 4+ years to it. If you have a bigger brain then the devs, please make your own game. And you might appreciate how much effort and time, it takes to make your favorite video game.
It's fair to criticize the game. However, deeming the game to be boring and dull, just because the publisher is Ubisoft, is dumb.
You have studios under Ubisoft which are fantastic at their work. The same concept can be said about EA. Hazelight Studios are an amazing team. But since, EA is their publisher, I guess the devs are soulless and are just hungry money making machines??
In a time when there are hundreds of really good games already out or in the making, there's really no point in wasting your time with half assed money grab flops from Ubisoft. The sooner you realize that the better.
1, ubisofts development team has lost their respect pumping out effectively the same games year after year. I know how to make games and it is very hard, but with a full team of 100+ members, it should be walk in park to make a good game in only 4 years. Judging from what we get in trailers and other videos i've seen, its a lazy slop of writing and gameplay. The animations were half assed along with general gameplay loop, you can have stealth games that are good but this is basic system of "lure enemies away to kill them". 2, as i've said, gameplay looks boring and dull. 3, Ubisoft has been pumping out garbage safe games which compared to other game options, are much much worse. EA... Just look at apex legends, had massive potential but they fired all the original developers and only add content once a year. Im not kidding, it took them 6 years to add cross progression but they could instantly solve any issue with purchasing event items. Yes there are gems in the mud but most games these publishers produce is mud, so we look at their newest titles and still see mud, so we criticize it.

It seems so empty tho and the graphics are not next gen at all. just wait until release dont pre order and decide then. you really cant tell right now if its good because all the gameplay you see is showcase. Its ment to pull you in to pre order lol.

@@simonhansen9277 its almost 2025 my dude.. it should be next gen like most games currently. IMO it looks and feels like it plays in the year 2010. With Souless cash grab gimmicks, horrible animations and subpar graphics. Hell the main planet you play on is the most boring planet in star wars lol. Just driving around on the bike or ship feels so empty...open world can mean alot of things...Some are loaded with activitys and sights while others are empty and boring.
I'm not trying to say dont buy the game your choice at the emd of the day lol. Just trying to warn you considering most people who have seen the gameplay say it sucks and it's just a cash grab. Sometimes you should listen to the majority and put away your feelings for star wars, like I'm a huge star wars fan but I know a bad game when I see one. And at the end of the day it comes down to your own opinions on the game I guess. Just remember its ubisoft in the year 2024 so you should know what to expect.
