Six years ago I was homeless, living in my car. I had lost everything in life. I got a job as a hotel housekeeper and was making barely enough to survive. I lived in coffee shops after work, since I had nowhere else to go. One day I was in a bookstore and I picked up a book about Mother Teresa and started reading. I thought, “Surely I can do something for those in India whom no one cares about!” I bought a plane ticket and flew to India for the first time, even though I was still homeless. I had only $55 in my pocket for my whole trip! I traveled all across India, looking for where the Lord would lead me to start. He led me to start work with my husband Raja. We now have a ministry serving the beggars, the homeless, and leper colonies here.

WHAT a deed revelation! Our king is really a lamb, a cook, a waiter, a doctor, a servant, and all this by choice. At the great banquet, he will be there, but he will be re-filling our water glasses, cooking dinner, washing dishes, and taking our dinner orders, and then, after all is done, he will be paying the bill. His deep humility and meekness has broken our hearts!

The song is full of awe-some titles but "God of the broken" and "Friend of the weak" touched my heart. Broke the hard pieces and by God's glorious Grace- may His loving hand continue to shape- press and mold to His hands. Shapeable. Teachable. Most of all. Humble in His sight.
