I may be the only person on the planet that prefers to hand load a Kuvings juicer than use the Nama J2. People talk as if the Nama is magic, but you still have to wash the ingredients and cut them up a little bit for maximum efficiency. You also don't get that much in the hopper. The Kuvings you can just keep going and going and it's a lot more natural to use I think. I hope that some manufacturers don't just switch to this method, unless increasing the hopper size. As for saving time, I would say not so much. I find it all a little awkward in practice. It seems to me that people have always tried to wash up their juicers in seconds or load up a lot at once and walk away, well how about we just embrace juicing for what it is, dig in, get our hands dirty and stop the innovations that in my opinion offer very little and frankly get in the way. I mean come on, what are you going to do when you walk away from a Nama J2 whilst its juicing, redecorate your living room, I don't think so. I understand how it is a marketing tool or ploy, and I don't blame makers or sellers for using that, but it's not for me. I do however love this channel and I'm not being awkward for the sake of it, It's just how I feel about. I also know I am in the minority. All the best John and keep on going.
I agree. I also think we're not bamboozled by influencer culture. Ease of use is not good enough for me. If I'm going to invest, I'm really going to go for the gold and go with what makes the most nutritious juice and that is a greenstar, imo.
Do you know what parts that has the cancer warning prop on with Kuvings?? Nama doesnt have the warning at all. Is it an external item?? Pineapple is only thing difficult to do my GreenStar Elite. I put the open bottom blank in, screw close the end, then feed and juice. I put a strainer bag into large bowl, then pour the juice and pulp into bag. It is a bit work. Otherwise it's nice to have your hands handle the food and its vibration. Make connection with the fruit and vegetables. Sometimes I would like to have the process done sooner though. With all that.... The best juicer is the one people will use. I like seeing that people are more open to juicing than eating the SAD diet.
Thanks John for your helpful videos! I used your coupon code and just received my Nama J2 this week. So far, I’m blown away at the ease of use and the fact that I don’t have to feed the machine constantly like my previous one!! 😊😊😊
Hey man was looking at getting into juicing and saw an older video. I just want to say I am really impressed with your passion for juicing and living healthy, and of your level of expertise in juicers. Been looking at a Nama J2, but now I need to research Greenstar. Thanks! Lurker for life!
My Nama arrived August 8th 2024 and IMMEDIATELY used it and was disappointed because it didn't get as much juice from the veggies as my old school juicer did and I was going to send it back the next day for a refund. I didn't see a big difference BUT my friend suggested that I try again with fresher veggies, so the next morning I went to the grocery store and bought new veggies and only washed the ones I was going to juice right then and OMG, this thing is AMAZING. The trick is to only wash the veggies that you intend to use right then because they will start dehydrating sooner and you won't get no where near as much juice. I used the same amt of veggies that I normally do with my other juicer and I got 1/4 more than normal. The pulp IS TOTALLY dry. The clean up was about the same as the regular juicer. I give this an A+.
Water by its self can be drying, odd to hear. Put wood outside, if it gets water on it, it dries out more with the sun, its the vapors, makes the wood crack.

Thanks John for the videos that you do. I bought the Nama J2 juicer a few days ago, after watching many of your videos. I think that we will drink more juice if it is just not as hard to juice in the mornings. I am concerned with the price of veggies and fruit. I justify it as we are vegan and don’t eat meat. Still, one weeks groceries did cost us $350 for a menu of fruit every morning, green juice for lunch several times and raw veggie meals and then some cooked veggie meals….for one week! I know, I know…..it’s for your health. I was feeling great at the end of the week too. So, the Nama will be a welcome addition to our juicing as I hate the juicer we have used for years, but let’s just hope we can get fruit at a resonable cost in the future. I can grow a lot of the veggies so they are not as much of a problem, but the fruit is expensive, especially for organic. Thank you again John. I am looking forward to juicing with my Nama J2 juicer.
You should try going to a local farmer's market. Buy fruits that yield more juice per pound. $350 is a lot unless you exclusively buy grocery from Whole foods.
@@tirath5ua lots of local farmer’s market is host of scams, they are legally permitted to lie to you about their produce, like whether if it’s gmo or organic, etc
Hi John, we tried to order Nama J2 from Australia. When we read the warranty page, it says it doesn't cover 15 yrs warranty for Australia models. Why like this. It's ridiculous Is there chances to buy with warranty
According to the web page: namawell.com/collections/international/products/nama-j2-australia-model?ref=discountjuicers it states: Nama warrants to the owner that if the juicer motor base or any of its parts fail within 15 years from the date of purchase due to a defect in material or workmanship or as a result of normal wear and tear from ordinary household use, Nama will repair or replace the failed motor or juicer part at Nama’s sole discretion free of charge.
Hello John can we blend almonds and water in a blender and then pour it into the greenstar elite? Or is this process not recommended for horizontal juicers
I have done that before too. See ruclips.net/video/jLmUWrvH8fA/видео.html while it can work, I recommend using alexas bags HTTP://www.alexasbags.com/ As it can be difficult on the juicer, as it was not specifically designed to do such a task, but it can.
Hey John, I live in a humid climate and some veggies are soft, especially cucumbers. With my Omega Vsj843, I have problems as you mentionned in one of your video. Can the Nama j2 deal with more softy veggies?
Honestly, the VSJ843 and Nama J2 work pretty much the same way, so if your VSJ843 has challenges, so will the Nama J2. Soft fruits can be difficult for slow juicers to juice, so I Recommend vacuum blending for best results ruclips.net/video/CSyS8QJfMNs/видео.html
