9:52 is Jamestown, between Cassandra and Portage. That's the old PT 256 signal bridge. 14:17 is at my hometown of Derry, PA. The signal bridge is the 307.4 signal bridge. I have one of the original numberboards from that bridge! Thanks for sharing this great footage of locations I spent many many hours railfanning!
Thanks for this great video! I think I can help out with the locations! Clip at 9:54 looks like its just down the track from the Cassandra overlook, I believe the overlook is visible at 10:23 and I know that there used to be a signal there. As for the clip at 14:17, that looks like Derry, PA. I grew up watching trains there and the signal bridge, old Westinghouse, the car bridge, and the tall sign behind it (looks to be the Mastrorocco's sign), all look quite familiar, as well as the track layout. If this can be confirmed by others please let me know, and if I got it wrong as well please kindly let me know!
How could this be filmed in 1995 if there are P42s (in both Phase III and IV schemes) which were introduced one year later? This could likely be 1998-99 then
phase 4 was introduced in 1994 with Amtraks Superliner II’s, but the P42’s being made in 1996 got Phase 3 and 4 by 1997. This was likely between 1996 to 1998 if MO tower is still standing as the OP mentioned 👍🏼👏🏼🚄💨
@@RailroadMediaArchive I'm in Columbus Oh and last weekend we took our boys to Marion and AC tower was opened and there was a former tower operator there and a few other older guys that volunteer there at the old depot (now a museum). Man it was fascinating talking to those guys. Nine trains in 2 hours, the boys were in heaven.
MG, AR, MO and SO were closed in 94-95 during the double stack project on the line. C survived into NS, being closed in 2005. ALTO of course was closed in 2012. It looks like MO and SO were closed by the time this footage was shot.
Fabulous! Thanks for sharing!!

I have a question: Why and when started locos of different railroad companies mixed up in the consist like we can watch it today as a common Thing?
why was the amtrak hauling road railers at 15:46?
Amtrak trialed hauling freight and mail during the 90's for a bit of extra revenue
Amtrak Still Served These Into 2002

@@maurizionapolitano900 It would have to be no later than 1998 because MO Tower is still standing.

3:11 I Don’t Think it Was Recorded in 1995, Because P42DC Didn’t Exist into a Year Later, Also This Paint Scheme Exists in 1998
How many towers were still open along this route at this time?
@@clineshaunt Off the top of my head Alto, AR, C and SO.
@ thanks! I really enjoy your videos.
@@clineshaunt If this is 1998 like others are saying, AR would have been closed. I think C and SO hung on into NS.
