- The Jackson Center's 2022 Al & Marge Brown Lecture on World War II featured Richard Overy, professor and prolific author. In his lecture, Filed Away: The Western Powers, Soviet Crimes and the Nuremberg Tribunal, Professor Overy discussed some of the issues in WWII addressed by the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, including the paradox of the Soviet Union having done many of the things for which the German war criminals were on trial.

Excellent upload, so glad I follow this channel!
37:06, Q & A time.
No disrespect to the learned gentleman, however, I personally believe that if a nation had lost over eleven million of its citizens to the war, and the run up to the war, they have earned the right to be somewhat "unprepared" for trial and the right to demand how the perpetrators were to be punished.
Jackson and his fellow Americans (that includes my ancestors) only experienced one Pearl Harbor, whereas the Soviets experienced a thousand "Pearl Harbors"

In summary;
I'd like to hear the Soviet's side.
This man knows his stuff. I'm excited to watch. Thank you RJC!
