I haven’t use a hammer drill in about eight years. But I own one. I actually picked one up not too long ago and haven’t used it one time but it’s really nice with power detect
I hadn't noticed the light could swivel, thanks for pointing that out. The kit also comes with magnetic bit holders which seem fairly strong. Pretty important accessory for me.
I have the XRDCD791 model. 2 speed, brushless. First ( name brand) drill/ driver i've ever had. Don't think i'll need anymore than this one. But, you never know.
Hi @HnrPram the 5 ah Powerstack wasn’t out yet at the time of filming, I think it was released 9 or 10 months later, that’s why I didn’t include it. If I remember right, I tried pairing the drills with the batteries mentioned in the stats from DeWalt. This was one of my earlier reviews, I should’ve shown examples which I include in my reviews now. I’m still figuring it out as I go. Lol
Great video. At some point I want to get a DeWalt hammer drill/driver kit when I catch the right sale, AND I can find one that doesn't come with the 887.
Excellent review. I just bought the Power Detect DCD998 hammer drill. Is this considered an upgrade over that one? Say no, please! I want to love my new drill. 😂
I totally agree. The 998 is a beast. Especially with the 8ah battery or bigger, it's very noticeable. The glaring omission has always been straight up torque numbers, unless you know to search European website that actually require standardized info. Now I'm curious...
I use mine often but not exclusively because I have others. Its small size has been a plus in cramped areas and it’s very mighty in power. I used the 20 minute timed directional light as a flashlight to work in the dark once. I can’t really think of any negatives.
Hi Glen! Yes, DeWalt only because the brand is such a huge part of my story and what I believe is my life’s purpose. If you watch “My Story,” it’ll make more sense.
Ha! I don’t have that problem yet. Now I’ll be able to have sets in my outdoor shop and basement shop. Every spring/fall I have to cart everything between the two.
Thank you! I knew it had a technical term and now that you list it, I’ve heard this. Lol I couldn’t think of what it was called. I appreciate the comment. 🙌
One of the best tool reviews I have ever seen. Thorough, in depth, touched upon the REAL important daily use facts that I would want to know when considering a purchase. FANTASTIC Job Jennifer!
What a sharp and beautiful gal! Nothing like a beautiful Woman that knows Power tools! Very well done! I decided to subscribe so I won’t miss anything in the future. Please stay safe and Healthy! 👍👍👍✌🏻🇺🇸😄
Who gives a crap? To compare size, with the wrong models, makes your video pointless. Just get the right tools to compare with, or don't make a comparison to the wrong models. Fantastic that you make videos and compare with pointless models. Waste of internet space.
Nice great upgrades .thanks Jennifer have a good afternoon

I rarely use that function as well but it’s good to have. 💪
I really like my dewalt drills i really want the dcd800 now

I honestly didn’t know about the holders! The info I was given didn’t mention them. That would’ve been good for me to point out. Thank you!
I am sooooo glad I went to the Dewalt platform.

Спасибо большое за обзор так держать вы просто умничка.
When will these be in stores?
What about the feel between using powerstack batery 20v 5Ah and xr 20v 5Ah..? Thank you for telling their each description... It's nice video 👌🏼😁

@@Jennyfromtheshop I've just found your channel, that's why I'm curious about the comparation between those two bateries... Thanks a lot, Jenny 🙏🏼😁
The best feature is the light for me. Never seen anything like that before. It freaking swivels up and down.
Both are awesome tools.
Great video. At some point I want to get a DeWalt hammer drill/driver kit when I catch the right sale, AND I can find one that doesn't come with the 887.
Thanks for watching, Dave! I’ll try to watch for sales and share on Instagram.

Love your new drill. 💛🙌

I’m considering getting the dcd800.
Has anyone on this channel used it extensively?
If so, how does it perform?
I use mine often but not exclusively because I have others. Its small size has been a plus in cramped areas and it’s very mighty in power. I used the 20 minute timed directional light as a flashlight to work in the dark once. I can’t really think of any negatives.
@@Jennyfromtheshop I just bought the 800.
From all of the videos I’ve seen of it, I think it’s going to be perfect for my needs.
I own a good amount of dewalt tools, I like them but my favorite is Milwaukee, do you only use dewalt?
Hi Glen! Yes, DeWalt only because the brand is such a huge part of my story and what I believe is my life’s purpose. If you watch “My Story,” it’ll make more sense.
Jennifer, nicely done review. Very informative- I really like the adjustable light and the length of time it stays lit. 👍👏
Thanks for watching and commenting, Michael!
What do you do with your old tools? Local charities?
Ha! I don’t have that problem yet. Now I’ll be able to have sets in my outdoor shop and basement shop. Every spring/fall I have to cart everything between the two.
Absolutely beautiful! Inside & out....and the drills too. Dewalt TUFF!!!
Thank you!
Ha ha cobalt you perver! I have to agree! She is tough! 😀
U HV GOOD TECHNICALITIES BEING WOMEN yes New model has more POWER MORE TORQUE & LUMEN due to wide angle Reflector ....U R TRUE WOMEN EMPOWERMENT 👌👍🙏
Great in depth review Jenn. Informative and clear. :)
Hi Jennifer, nice job. I liked your overview! FYI, the protective coating is called, “rubber over molding”.
Thank you! I knew it had a technical term and now that you list it, I’ve heard this. Lol I couldn’t think of what it was called. I appreciate the comment. 🙌
Marty you Technicsl dude you! 🤔🙄😃🤣
Dewalt! 💪
When is it released
All they said was sometime In April. I’ll follow up on Instagram, most likely in my stories. 🙌
@@Jennyfromtheshop smh they said march now its april of course at the end of april the gona say its Releases in May
😂😂😂
Thank you, very informative Jen
Can’t tell which models you’re talking about !
Half the time I don't even know. lol Sorry about that, this is when I just started doing tool reviews. Hopefully I've gotten better.
Jenny.Ben de Dewalt 805nt satın aldım.Oldukça memnunum.Bendeki 18V.
Is the chuck removable or not?
No
Love my Miss Dewalt stay yellow and black my friend never stray to the red unless it's craftsman
youre comparing the drills to the wrong models.DCD800 is a direct replacement for the DCD791,and the 805 to the 796.
I had to use what I have. I don’t own the other models.
So maybe next time you will compare the 850 to the 900, because you don't have the 899... 🤦🏼🤦🏼
@@RoffepuckI think you've made your point ol roffepuck... 4 different comments is 3 too many. Get over it
I just found the 805 for just $107 on Amazon, while all other stores had it at $170... :-)
@@matthiasheymann I hope you used my shopping link! 😂 Seriously, good deal.🙌
@@Jennyfromtheshop sorry, I saw your video the day after I bought it
$98 now! What is happening? Are they clearing out their inventory in preparation for a new model?

Thanks so much, Joseph!!! I appreciate the feedback.
She compares of 800 and 805, to her 778 and 996, which is just ridiculous.
Why is that ridiculous? I wanted to demonstrate the differences between the older models I owned vs new.
What a sharp and beautiful gal! Nothing like a beautiful Woman that knows Power tools! Very well done! I decided to subscribe so I won’t miss anything in the future. Please stay safe and Healthy! 👍👍👍✌🏻🇺🇸😄
I appreciate that, George!
I sure wish DeWalt offered a DCD805 Powerstack kit.
800 is compared to 791
805 is compared to 796
Not 996 and 778 🤦🏼🤦🏼
I had to use the models I physically own.

Don't forget the plastic gearing, just enough to get past warranty, your bad DeWalt, 👀
I’ve never had any problems with my drills, some see daily use and are years old! (My oldest is over 15 years.)
What plastic gearing? Here's a hint for you. They don't have any plastic gearing. 👌
If you're correct, you just made me very happy, thank you, 👍
