Hey Beth, I've only just discovered your channel, and it's just so lovely and clever and inspiring. I did have a thought or two about your amazing striped pieces, but PLEASE - I'm totally not worthy!!!!! Just ideas. Could you dye the first one? I would go a deep cream - of course your blues would become greens but it might all play happily. I'm sure you would choose a great colour: turquoise to make it perky and pale grey or brown to mute it all. For the balloon-sleeved jumper - I'd take off the cuffs and make it a wide, billowing, flared sleeve and I would dye it too. That might help cohere the colours a bit more (just because you said you didn't love the distinctive stripes). Any sort of pink would give you pink and purple. I'd soften the neck if you changed the sleeves. BUT WHAT WOULD I KNOW?! I love everything you do - you're terrifically clever. So happy to watch!!!!!
Haven't finished watching - but - colored stripes top - make the sleeves short, like, maybe just add ribbing. It's a summer/cotton top, so doesn't need to be a whole jumper. If you won't wear it, it will still be finished and you can gift/donate/sell. Happy crafting!
Save your leftover yarn. An idea will come naturally, because you seem to be really creative. I have yarn that I don’t always know what to do with, but patterns and ideas always come when I least expect them. When I no longer love a yarn, I just give to a couple of my friends who also knit and crochet. I’ve seen granny squares made held with a strand of mohair too.
21:42 seems like the simple answer would be just to donate it like any other clothing you don’t wear 🤷🏾♀️. Or maybe a gift. It may feel wrong because you spent time and money on it but what else are you gonna do.

Very true! I always try and pass on yarns and materials I won’t use to friends or donate so someone else can use them better!
