Lyme disease has been an ongoing issue for decades. Diagnostic testing is not ideal. It's imperative that healthcare providers stay updated and treat the patient - not the labs. If you found this video helpful, please give it a 👍. Please share your experiences with Lyme or tick prevention.

Dan this is great information and very timely. I have several friends in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area who have contracted Lime and are being treated. The history was fascinating.

Went on a turkey hunt in the Texas hill country. Sat under a tree and when the sun came up I could see I had 20 ticks on me. I was bitten numerous times, later I found one days later and needed a mirror to find it, got tired and weak 2 weeks later, was able to get a Dr appointment 2 weeks later and tested positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. The dr treated me for 3 months. I finally slowly got my life back

Wow. Helluva story. Lot of Turkey hunters are susceptible no doubt. Had a pt turkey hunting in Missouri I counted 72 on him all nymph stage size of poppy seeds. Glad you are good. Permethrin your shoes and hunting clothes night before. Works well.

I am a veterinarian. I did not have the bull's eye rash but did have symptoms. It took a lot of effort to get tested and when tested I was positive and finally treated. The first doctor that did the test would not treat me. He said he could jeopardize his license for treating me and referred me to the medical university who could not see me for many months. I finally went to another doctor that did the treatment. I live in South Carolina. Have you heard of doctors not being able to treat lyme in certain states?

Never in the 43 years of medicine have I heard or read about this. Your case is a first. There is NO Federal governing body to over see tx of tick bourne diseases. Some states and labs have mandatory reporting. Absolutely bizarre. Glad you got treated. Stay tuned for upcoming video.

I think medical supplies would be the most useful, because not only is it versatile, as it isn't specific to a particular activity, it seems to be where people would benefit more from specialized gear, because many people's med kit is under supplied.

I tested positive for Lyme disease with T-lab and Igenex. But tested negative for limes disease through Galaxy, and LabCorp all testing is been done last year. Taken five or six different antibiotics for 8 to 9 months and had zero improvements with my health.

I do not know what labs you had done but would look at an ANA and autoimmune issues. There can be false positive tests for lyme especially if treated appropriately. Next step a teaching hospital ie University hospital. That's is with what info I have at this time. I wish you well sorry you are going through this.

As soon as you said Plum Island I laughed! Conspiracy theorists are all over that place 😂. I think they come from the shallow end of the gene pool, personally 🤣.
Seriously though, thanks for doing the research and time to give us accurate information.
Hunting, camping and medical are my idea’s for give aways.
Finally, you are so spot on with shopping around for a good knowledgeable health care provider, you have to be your own advocate I’ve found.
