I use an SM7B myself and I use OBS just to capture the sound because of the audio filters available to help capture the best sound right off the bat, rather than having to spend a ton of time posting everything. This way, generally all I have to do is boost my audio volume in post before I add them to my videos. I'm sure once I start using a camera to record myself playing my games, this will come in handy even further.
I still use this method for my talking head videos! I especially appreciate that I am always ready to stream, if I ever decide to do that regularly, too
