Soft toss machine is SKLZ CATAPULT, I think they cost about $80 and you can find them at a sporting goods store or Amazon They will break if you hit the ball directly back off the machine, just a heads up!
@@andrewbats8523 lathe as i knew it but it took away from the bats life , didnt last as long so then most would just have the bats rolled which just broke the bate in faster with out removing end cap then you had guys flat out painting utrip bats for asa play and buying asa decals on them to look like asa bats , this was done in men’s softball , bats were crazy hot , got to the point where bats were tested before play in tournaments and then registered for the tournament
@@Knarf14 thats cool to know! I had always heard jokes about painting an illegal bat to match a legal one but I didn't know anyone actually did. And that makes sense about the shortened life, would be pretty tough to keep breaking bats and affording to do it over. I heard the noise can change a bit one you shave enough out too

Soft toss is Sklz Catapult, about $70 or $80 on Amazon or at sporting goods stores. It will break if hit directly back @ machine just fyi And the radar is a flightscope mevo BUT they removed the baseball app from the app store and it's no longer usable unless you already had the app downloaded (without the app the radar is just a paperweight). It is very comparable to a pocket radar though, I have both and have done multiple tests and they average within a half mph of each other
I gotta say I think they're worse without the end cap but I'll have to actually test it sometime. I had one pop off and it was tough bc it lost a little end load and felt too light
Won't ever be able to get any meaningful amount of material out of the bat this way. The composite is too hard. Needs to be done on a lathe to get any meaningful material removed
Hey bro I just end cap removal tips I've got a lathe and a bridge port that I can index the head at a proper angle and use a 3 arm hone with coarse grit stones and remove a shit ton of aluminum from the inner walls of oldschool exo grids 2 5/8 barrel I like the spring loaded hone because it self aligns to the barrels wall angle along the taper
Cool video, thank you!
Hi Andrew. What is the pitching machine u used (name, cost and where to purchase?) thx u for your time and keep swinging. God bless 🙏🏻

Thanks for that last tip. 😂 I appreciate your time for responding.
What are you using to pitch to you?
what do you use to track exit velocity speeds?
If you can’t get the hone out just fill it with spray foam so it don’t rattle and glue on the cap .
🤣🤣🤣 extra endloaded!
“I need a screw driver” - walks to screw driver tree 🤣
There's always plenty of supplies in the woods
😂😂😂
We used to shave bats 20 years ago and i think used shave about 5 ounces out
Thats crazy those bats must have been hot! Did you use a lathe (which I think might be more effective) or a hone like this?

Jesus loves u!!!!!
You can shave it more aggressive and get way higher exit velo bud
How much would you recommend shaving off a bat ?
So how come removing material from a composite bat makes it better? does it make it lighter?
It does make it make it lighter , it also thins the walls of the bat so they essentially flex more and the ball springs off the bat faster
hmmm, interesting. i guess it will break quicker however@@yesss5394
What softtoss machine are you using? And what are you using for radar?

Do you have a video of how to remove the end cap without damaging it ??
There are companies that will roll and shave bats for you.
Did you get 108mph like cat9 marucci usssa😂
This makes me curious how horribly a bat would or wouldnt hit with the end cap just gone
I gotta say I think they're worse without the end cap but I'll have to actually test it sometime. I had one pop off and it was tough bc it lost a little end load and felt too light
Don’t test it there will be no compression in the bat it would suck
From TikTok
Ayeee I appreciate that!
Where you get that attachment for drill?
I think this one is from auto zone. I also got one from harbor freight but it didn't fit
@@andrewbats8523 what's it called? The attachment.
That is what she said at 1:22/1:23
Guess this is what Chris Pratt does in between filming movies
🤣🤣🤣 you caught me
😂😂😂😂
I’m gonna shave my daughters eastern ghost softball bat
Way to teach lessons.
You're a horrible person.
Good way to ruin a bat. Facts 💯 😄 🤣 😂
🤣 the end cap is only a little suspicious now

just a bunch of nopes in this video lol
Hit me up and I'll walk you through better steps and better results or send me the bat and ill hook you up to see amazing results

If you shave a bat in baseball tournaments you will be kicked out of the park for all the season
weak sauce.
