That doesn't look like pineapple it looks more like a jack fruit pineapple doesn't grow from trees they grow from the ground on spike shrubs. So may be Ella doesn't understand what a pineapple looks like maybeJack fruit or breadfruit. But definitely not pineapple because when you turn a pineapple upside down you can see the dry brown end underneath where the pineapple was attached

You can see its not a pineapple when she starts cutting through. That fruit it look dull and dry . Pineapple are lovely sweet tangy and juicy golden flesh that looks like sunshine.
