I just reset my triangle light. Came on months before the vsa light and abs light. Got the abs fixed which fixed the vsa but the traction control triangle light was still on. Found a vid on RUclips where you short pin 9 to ground and push the vsa button .
I have a 2007 honda element sc. I need to know if the button clicks and stays down like the cruise control button when pressed. My vsa button does not stay depressed down. It just springs back.

I uses to have that problem and i resolved real simple. With a needle i suck all the break fluid from the bottle container, clean real good the dirt and the oil level indicator. Yes, I have a very good idea what's wrong with it. Long story short, the scan tool I'm using isn't doing its job and resetting the VSA. I'm currently working with the manufacturer for a solution. Nonetheless, I'll have something very shortly.

Vehicle Stability Assist. It helps the car to stay in a straight line in slippery conditions, or during a quick change of direction maneuver, like trying to evade a sudden obstacle in front of you. It applies the rear wheels breaks, independently, to help the car turn more easily. It uses some of the same sensors that the ABS system uses, but additionally it uses other sensors that measure the posture of the vehicle relative to its movement. Almost all cars have them now, because it is good at helping to keep the control of the vehicle at higher speeds, thus avoiding a lot of single vehicle accidents, but it really is only some additional lines of code in the ABS system, so it is not very expensive to make.

For starters you don't just push it you have to push it hold it for a second then the little warning sign comes up
So how do you put it off

You didn’t show us what the multimeter was showing when you connected it. How are we supposed to know if the switch is good or not?

I turned the vsa triangle out be shorting pin 9 on the obd port when mine wouldn't go out

The video was very helpful, but I replaced the switch with a new one from a dealer and the light still didn't go out. Must be something else.

Does it have to be turned ON or OFF? And what exactly is it for?
It's for stability control; in other words traction if the tires slip. Keep it on.
So does that mean I don’t have to turn it on because all I ever do is drive it to work and back home
