its a crime you guys only have 65k subs. every fantasy and historical film maker should be calling you lot.
I was kinda shocked by the number when I've noticed it. I thought it was something in 500,000-800,00 range.
What I like about watching this is seeing how far Adorea Olomouc has come since then.
The Knight of Hope video from last year (?) was amazing in every respect and was better than this video in every way. The difference between the two videos is amazing, and it's great to see how far the creators have come. Hope to see more...

As usual the talent and precision swordsmanship and stuntmanship was on full display, and the accuracy of the wardrobe is brilliant. I just wish I could see what was going on better.
2006 camera work
Edit: lol, aye, I've been made aware that this is an old work and it's clear the film makers have improved dramatically over the past decade. I still appreciate what they tried to achieve with thie one, though, even if it has its flaws. Below is my original comment:
Hate to say this but I couldn't really tell who was who in the battle. The choreography was nice but in the end I simply saw a bunch of guys beating on each other and it was only when things ended that I realised who won. I mean, I had a feeling the ambushing side would prove victorious with the lead up story to it but it was still hard to follow.
That said, I really liked the thought behind the Grim Reaper! Good visuals.
I think with better camera work and a professional crew these moves could be better highlighted.

It's worth keeping this around regardless so it serves as a window into how much they've improved over the years.
Yeah, they've improved a lot. Besides the historical accuracy and competent weapon use, I can barely find anything good to say about this movie. The pacing's inconsistent, the plot has issues, oh they have a surprising amount of character development considering they don't talk, that's something.
This was shot like 14 years ago. Their camera work have improved far better now.
If I recall correctly this was an early film. I have to say, “Well done”! It shows how much effort was put into the production of not just the fight scenes, but what led to it and the aftermath. The treachery, the ambush, the battle, and the clandestine meeting. All in such a short film so as to put their fencing on display. WELL DONE 👍.

You can see their most recent examples of camerawork in one of their newest videos, The Knight of Hope. This video was from their 2006 archives, while The Knight of Hope is from last year, I think.
It is interesting and gratifying to see how far your all have moved from then. It is not bad, but you can definitely see the immense progress. Kudos!

Very good fighting, costumes and settings. Nice touch to have a woman in there.

The clothing is…interesting. While the guy wearing the hat that looks like an apple pie is odd, it's the guy wearing a single bright yellow shoe on his left foot is killing me. I've tried ever combination of words on Google search as I can think of, still I can't find a reference. At first I though the guy forgot to take the Crocs he was wearing between scenes (this is 2006) off when they started the scene, but that center be such an obvious mistake.
These films are great, this one is really good for a first outing, the ones later on are phenomenal. I've watched the great sword and the rapier duels over and over.
Now I'm ready to fight! No whait.... Where is my sword?
The flying kick was pretty epic, might try it next time I'm sparring.

Since you guys are going for the cinematic in these between-fight scenes, you should try some aftereffects like changing the color palette or something

While I usually love and support your work... I did not like this. Plot-wise, I have no idea of who's who and of what is going on. The video quality is low. And the fight... obviously you have to pay attention not to hurt anyone, but a guy falling because someone clearly stabbed air...

This is a 14 year old film
Very good indeed... however the firearms were mishandled during the opening of action and would not likely have scored anything.. the time between the first and second report would have elicited some response from the 2nd target. .. who didn't seem to be able to hear or see.. a correct ambush with firearms.. would be to get ahead of the enemy and fire down their columns line of advance.. ie enfilading.. which would have overlapping targets... the same is true for any ballistic weapons... also I believe they would have had a few people with crossbows rather than these firearms.. which are more suited to use against fully armoured riders... and one guy with a warbow would have planted 3 or 4 arrows.. before general action ensued... speaking of that.. the party were well equipped and obviously professionally trained.. and therefore as a matter of course would have had an ambush reaction plan... as they were under dangerous but not sustained fire.. they would have formed a weapon line. . With at least half their number.. whilst the other half in 2 groups went for the flanks.. which would guard their own flanks and also surround any attackers... this would also allow for their weapon line to advance and mop up the attackers who are not in battle formation with ease.... just saying... when your life revolves around your groups ability.. then the group learns to fight as a team.... it's not about individuals at all... this has been the case since the first group of men.. got spiky ended poles and hunted prey.. and will never change..

Früher Film der Jungs, noch völlig unblutig, etwas weniger professionell, aber schon sehr gut.
"Patrimonium" finde ich noch besser.

Most of Adorea videos are brilliant with reasonable story, realistic battles and good choreography ... but not this one!
This one is plain bullshit!
No story, or if it is one, it is only in the head of the maker.
Absolutely unrealistic battle, the one you could see, because the first one in the night didn't make any sense, as there was absolutely no use of ranged weapons... among others.
And really bad choreography that was made worse by the disastrous filming technique with many breaks and shaky camera.
Good for Adorea: they improved a lot over the years and now have some clips that could serve as teaching material for Hollywood.
This is their first amateur movie filmed in 2006. With no professional background or experiences. They just took the camera and went to the woods.

My comments were addressed strictly to the quality of of THIS particular video and they represent MY opinion.
I am subscribed to their channel and I think they are doing great stuff. But don't expect me to praise them for something that I consider bullshit!
The biggest fault in the forest battle is that many of them died many times over. You can't have multiple deaths using the same people when they're all wearing such distinctive clothing and armour.
Yes, this had to be said. Their very first try was crap, utter crap. It really showcases how FAR they have reached, since less than 20 years later, they are (edit: and deservedly so!) among the BIG NAMES of swordplay short movies. Impressive trajectory, to say the least.
