Wes, My name is Miguel from Bogota, Colombia. And you have not idea how much I learned from your videos. thank you so much. YOU AND YOUR WIFE ARE AWESOME.
Hey Wes, you look like a million bucks each and every time you appear in front of the camera! We feel the positive vibes here, your smile, your voice, and your affable personality. :) We are lucky to learn heaps of useful expressions here with you Wes, where native speakers always use it in their daily conversation. We don't have to fork over money to attend English classes, everything is free here online. Thank you so much Wes. :)
After watching this RUclips video of yours, I’m determined to become loaded so that it will be a story of rags to riches that can inspire the people around me to pursue their dreams. Once I’m loaded, I no longer have to worry about the prospect of breaking the bank if I buy things that cost me an arm and a leg.
I was on the internet for so long looking for someone who teaches me some English lessons but that person should look like a million-dollar and now here I am until I found your channel.
we had a dinner at restaurant with friend and it cost me an arm and a leg, one of my friend say who will pick up the tab, so finally i picked up the check because my friends are pinny-pincher.
This is the first time i watch a video of yours, you are really a great teacher, you explain really well, you give examples and you even keep reviewing them again and over again.. this is the best english learning video i ever seen. Keep going and hope you will be loaded very soon haha
First of all I'd like to thank you for using moments from Sons of Anarchy, Pretty Little Liars, Glee, Devious Maids and The Longest Ride! All of these idioms and expressions can be used for one to one lessons as well. They're way too useful! Teachers might be loaded by teaching them😀
U look like a million bucks Once again I like the lesson ,the ideoms , the movies and the way u do to put together 4 or more ideoms in one sentence Thank you Great job
Throughout the video I was eagerly waiting for the idiom 'go Dutch 🤣which is the only idiom I knew related to money. Anyway thanks for a great lesson teacher. Helpful.
Oh, money are our everything, no exactly not, course happiness has only who has enough love good relationship and so on. But sometimes to have money also good for well being. Good lesson as usual. Now I'm in selfisolation (prohibited to leave home, cause I'm more then 65, not at home I'm in the forest 'дача', children look after mother ), so I have plenty time, and dive deep in English. Thank you. Excuse me for some long comment. Maybe someone so share my fate. And encredibily good weather in St Petersburg. But I think that I must do lessons on line as you, so I'm lucky, that I see how to do it effectively thanks to you. So big comment from me, excuse me once more
Man, that nightclub last night really cleaned me out i haven't got a penny left the drinks cost *an arm and a leg,* and I had to *fork over* an inordinate amount of money to the bartender. I'm so bummed out that my friends didn't chip in with a single *buck* I had to pick up the tab all by myself. but to be candid I was just trying to impress the girl who was with us who looked like a million dollars and she's also *loaded* but such a *penny-pincher* bc she comes from an affluent family whod gone from *rag to riches* after winning the lottery I tried to use as many expressions as I could Thanks for the video
Many greetings from me from Indonesia.... Thankyou for your help to help us improve the english.. you are the best teacher... My bigest respect to you... I have subscribe to your chanel and i wait patiently when you opload the video, and i want to watch it surely...
Hi Wes, It's been a while since my last visit to your channel. Your lessons are even more and more interesting. That's how every blogger should shoot catchy videos. Forgive my ignorance, but I don't have any clue if pony up, shell out, and fork over are completely interchangeable. Each of these verbs sounds the same to me as a foreigner. Could you please make it clear?
Hey Paul. Thanks for commenting. They all have a similar meaning. Pony up is a bit different because you're "paying money that is owed." Both shell out and fork over are more interchangeable because you could use them to refer to buying things. 😊
