      Thank you very much for the kind words. If you are ever interested in anything, let me know, and I will see if I can find a place to dig it. I'm like a radio station in the 80's I take request , but also like the 80's it maybe a while before you hear your song or in this case mineral dig LOL

    The chalcedony in the fire agates is so pretty they sure are going to polish up really nice! Just love the donkeys 🫏 so very cute. Im with you, Bee's no thank you, and you said you have killer bees there. Oh nono

    • @huntingrocks
      @huntingrocks  3 месяца назад +3

      When I was a kid, I used to live out there. The town of Oatman was a favorite spot of mine it's so full of mining history, and those donkeys are left over from the old miners.
      Oh yeah, the Africanized bees have been in Arizona for a while. Now I'm not 100% sure those were them, but when there is that many bees better safe than sorry, the desert can be a crazy place 🤣

      Thank you , a better way to have done it would have been 2 out and 3 back just in case , but I know that area pretty well from when I was a little kid , the desert is no place to mess around, not as scary as the open ocean but still

      Yeah I was popping good stuff left and right, two things stopped me from getting more.
      1) the heat
      And
      2) a bush I'm pretty sure was covered in Killer Bee's ... even if it wasn't I'm not taking chances in Arizona lol

    Alright, a leisurely walk through a desert wash to find fire agates sounds much more pleasant than the last trip. It'd be interesting for you to weigh your total haul on your return from your out West adventures. We agree with you, everything is alive. I think they call that animism. It's very normal in Asia and we just look like weirdos in America talking to rocks. 😂
    Awesome petrified Atari game find. Too bad it isn't playable.

    Hey, it’s my favorite rock/fossil hunting guide. One of the few channels I’ll let the ads play for.
    I’m sure it’s great to be able to just do a surface hunt when it’s hot. You would have gone through 5 bottles of water in no time if you were digging. We’re these the agates we got a peek at when you were washing off your finds in a previous video? I’m still behind, and been watching things out of order to boot. I’m a rebel like that.
    Kind of cool to find that old Atari game out there. Makes you wonder how it ended up there. I like to pretend I’m a gamer, though my reflexes are terrible. It’s always been a way my kids and I bond.

    • @huntingrocks
      @huntingrocks  3 месяца назад +2

      They are the same kind of agates just in bot nearly as nice as the ones I dug out of the ground, these have been eroded out so they have probably lost a little (if not a lot) of something .
      I was just super happy to have been able to find out what game it was , knowing that area it was probably dumped out in the desert years and years ago, when I was a kid and lived out there my grandpa and I used to walk around the desert looking for what we called "desert treasures" we had found every thing from old Sofas to an actually really nice set of dishes, that was back in the late 80's early 90's.
      I'm sure people still dump stuff out there but didn't run across much this trip.

      I’ve been meaning to ask you if you’ve found any new trilobite species to add to your list this summer. Or did I ask already? Heck, I can’t remember what I say or don’t or dream or not. I have a vague memory of you replying that you found some new ones, but they weren’t in that particular video? Now I might just be making things up.
