Thank you, Rhydian, for the magic you have created with your performance of this song!
Loving this in 2024. Considering it's not a great recording, on somebody's phone it sounds like but Rhydian can still make it sound wonderful. You've still got it Rhydian xxx
Is there anything that this amazing man cannot sing, phenomenal he is
Cymru Am Byth 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
He is surely amazing x
This is my favourite performance of his, no razzmatazz just the beauty of his voice with no distractions Just gorgeous

Thank you, dear Rhydian, you have a wonderful, god-blessed voice, you sing with fantastic experience!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This and sleep were my two favourites on the night - he is just the best singer entertainer we have had the privilage to hear for many years.
Absolutely stunning performance and I count myself incredibly fortunate to have heard it live....moved me to tears! Bravo Rhydian and Derek!
We don't see enough of this fantastic singer, this was published 2011 and still in 2018 it's rare to see Rhydien on our tV screens...
I just now discovered this man I feel very privileged to have done so. I don’t understand why he isn’t the most celebrated man week after week on live TV and with public demonstrations. I can’t get enough of him. Good luck Rhyd (and find a better manager!)
Wonderful presentation! Thank you very much, dear Rhydian!❤❤❤🙏
thanks for sharing - it was stunning and I believe there truly wasn't a dry eye in the house!
Yay, Rhydian!
I would have never thought he could sing this song so brilliantly!
Amazing, outstanding!
Thanks for that wonderful video!
Thank you for this video. I was lucky to be there to hear this worldclass version by the worldclass RHYDIAN. Have waited for a few years for him to sing this and was as brilliant as I thought it would be. Never have I heard a song sound so gentle, sweet and full of emotion. Derek was excellent too.
Thank you Rhydian xx thank you Dianaben xx
Great voice and excellent version of Bring him Home
Having it played at my funeral along with You Never walk alone
When he sang it in Oxford I was there and it was the first time that we heard him sing “Bring him Home”. It really was a spine tingling moment as I told him at a private concert so he sang it again, although it hadn’t been on his repertoire ❤️
Wow!! Thank you for this brilliant vid! As soon as I heard Derek call out "Bring Him Home" I knew we were going to witness something truly special... It was the spine tingling highlight of a stunning show. Oh Rhydian- he was simply magical. I feel so lucky that I was there.
This is one of my favourites. Beautifully sung. Beautifully captured . Good work Diana , thank you x
Something to strive for. What a beautiful rendition by Rhydian!
honestly Rhyd you are some kind of genius! love ya x
It was amazing, took my breath away. Thanks for sharing
I've learnt that song for my choir.. But I know for sure i'll never be as good as him!
Such a beautiful voice. God-given talent
I could not get to this concert but this performance by Rhydian is fantastic makes up for not being there. There is nothing that Rhydian can't sing well. Thanks for posting.
Stunning, emotional performance from Rhyd!
You have the most amazing voice ever. Feel so privileged seeing you live ❤️
Wow. Rhydian is amazing. Definitely made this video what it is.
Beautiful singing and wonderful piano playing. Perfect :D
If all we had heard last night was this one song my ticket would have been totally worth it. It was incredibly moving , spine tingling and the standin ovation was richly deserved by both Rhydian and Derek
Lovely I adored Rhydian from the first day I saw him, he was a star the moment he opened his mouth, and yes we do get utter rubbish on Tv these days.
Rhydian has wonderful tone with a great amount of power to support him. Completely engaged ...great interpretation! Beautiful voice. Derek as his accompaniment, was absolutely perfect. Alot of times, the accompaniment takes the lead , and the voice is forced to follow. Derek's talent not only lies with his playing the piano, but he feels what Rhydian feels, which makes a perfect combination! Great Job guys! I found you by accident. I hope to hear more from you.
This is just magical. I love Rhydian's voice.
I love listening to Rhydian singing Bring Him Home and it is just a little taster of his ability. Looking forward to seeing him as Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar in Cardiff at the end of January.
beautiful,thank you for sharing
So beautiful ❤
I think that this is absolutely fabulous. Rhydian rings with such expression and emotion and I was fortunate to have been at the concert where he sung "Bring him Home" for the first time and what a treat it was. Derek was great as well.
Fantastic!! He NEEDS to be in the west end!!!
WHAT A VOICE
It was a privilege to be there. Thank you for posting this wonderful reminder.
Annette Callaghan why is this fantastic I singer not recon is more
Carys Dawson You can check him out on RUclips and download his albums from iTunes. He’s a lovely man as well as an amazing singer 💕
This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the concert at Oxford. I thought it was spine tingling.
He has a wonderful voice. 💕
BRAAAVO!! BRAAAVO!! FANTASTIC!! 8-)
What a gorgeous voice.
Fantantic
Only two men can do this song justice, IMO, and those two are Wilkinson and Rhydian. No one else seems to give it the gut wrenching believeable emotion it deserves.
Beautiful x
I am so looking forward to seeing these two performing together again at Newport on 2nd March 2012, Oxford was a very special night!!
Rhydian is world class 💙
OMG! I just read in the info for this clip that the guy accompanying Rhydian on the piano is blind. *shock look!!*
That was excellent considering!! I don't understand how he does it!
I mean, he can't have been able to read the music.
I guess he had heard it before and maybe he played by ear.
Is that possible?
in any case, I think it's very unique for someone to be able to play an instrument like that so well indeed! It was fantastic!! :-)
Continued......
It must take them quite a long time to learn "exactly" what the piece of music is, and be able to play it "exactly" note for note!
That's very exceptional as I see it.
So beautiful
If I were God
..I'd definitely say yes! ...
Maybe it's not surprising to you, but I personally was most definitely surprised when I saw this for the very first time! I couldn't believe it til I saw it. it's very exceptional as I see it.
And yes.... a good pianist shouldn't have to look at the keys as they play.
BUT..... being able to play without a copy of the sheet music in front of you..... that's what surprises me!
@littlemissjaded12345 Yes he hears a song only once and then he is able to play it. Amazing talent.
@dianaben
Wow! Only once hey!? Pretty darn amazing talent too I'd say!
Very exceptional and fantastic too!
I'd give that man 1000 gold medals for that. 8-)
Very very nice - one of the very few who can compare to Wilkinson. This is one of his best songs imo. Check out his performance of You'll Never Walk Alone.
Isn't this the "Humming Chorus" from Madama Butterfly by Puccini? Nicely sung, though. Ti'n canu an dda iawn, Rhydian!
@dianaben
Well that's just incredible, and yes, I agree!
Such amazing talent indeed! 8-)
Forte e dolcissimo voce divina
@damens - a perfectionist, fully classically trained but incredibly verasatile as was proven by his delivery of a number of pop songs selected for his X Factor appearances. That and the range of songs he has performed since then has created the impression that he can sing anything but of course he now selects the songs helikes and siut his voice best.
Wish there was a better quality version.
Quite something to get the role and all the emotion apart from the musical itself!
Fab-u-lus, fab-u-lus voice and performance.
You might want to get his new album then, due out in the new year :)
❤
LUI È LUI DOLCEMENTE ANGELICO
3.10 wonderful sound right there.
Wow ! He got much better since the X factor ... good luck to him. He could work up the West end in shows with a voice like that.
and to think he was a runner up on the x factor
What a pity his TV profile is not much higher, we are served up all this horrid brain numbing rubbish week in week out when there is all this talent out there but all we get is the same old faces regurgitated from one show to another. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
@SuzLa1 I think we would all wish that but Diana did a good job in the circumstances as the accoustics in the hall weren't very good.
@damens - well, he did tell me he can't do rap, so you are quite right LOL
Beautifully sung. Pity about the recording quality.
It was acoustically bad for any recording. It was amazing live.
If your surprise was about someone being able to memorise a piece of music, then you wouldn't have made such a big deal about his being blind, would you? I pointed out what I did because there are oodles of stereotypes about blind people being incapable of so many things - especially things that aren't exceptional. I know someone, for instance, has a master's degree with 4.0 grade average; yet she receives the most praise for being able to do things like use a can opener, or walk around.
Anyway, I know the player is super talented, I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying his blindness has little to do with whether or not he can play the piano well. I wish I could remember pieces that well; I end up memorising pieces if I play them enough, but I still depend on the sheet music for confidence.
It really shouldn't be surprising that blind people can play the piano. (actually, there has long been a stereotype that blind people are 'naturally musically gifted," which is nonsense.) Good pianists don't look at the keys, so sight isn't necessary for playing. And many people learn by ear, so this really isn't surprising. By the way, there is a braille method for sheet music; it is tedious and in need of improvement, but it works. Whatever you can think of, blind people can certainly do.
Larry the lamb more like!
@annabridges1 NOTHING that Rhydian can't sing well ??!! Hyperbole much ?
poor quality rip off
