22 days ago I got the Medusa Piercing. 4 days later I had to go change it for a longer piece because my lip was literally swallowing the piece and after the change, the lip returned a little swollen, but all good, after 3 days it went down. Then I continued with the process, washing it with neutral liquid soap, saline water. I have drank green tea to heal my gums because they were bleeding, also peppermint and chamomile tea for being anti-inflammatory. Everything was going well, I got dead skin, sometimes something yellow-green, I took care of it and it stopped appearing, it barely looks like a scab, but I always remove it when I wash my piercing. Now it happens that I have been with pain inside my lip for 3 days, I feel that the piece is cutting my inner lip, and it shows a little red inside the Piercing, it is strange because it was healthy and out of nowhere it began to scrape. Above the lip it looks good, it doesn't hurt there, but the problem is inside the lip, on the inside, I cannot wash above because if you turn the piece I feel that it breaks my lip even though there is no blood or it looks irritated, just I feel like it's cutting my lip and the piece has something white inside, I don't know if it's dead skin? I can't clean inside the piercing, I don't know if I have to do something there, can you give me some advice?
Ohhh same here, I just went and got it changed with a shorter bar and my lip swallows it too. Somehow it has not caused any damage or irritation to my lip but I keep an eye on it and make sure I push it down a bit here and there so my lip doesn’t permanently engulf it. As for your piercing my best advice would be to contact your piercer and make a visit so they can see what’s going on. Sounds like maybe it’s infected and crusting on the bar so that’s cutting you or just the inside is generally really infected and crusty. But for sure contact your piercer and ask so they can help you treat it/ determine what’s going on
your septum piercing does look a bit low, so my guess is the piercer went through the thick cartilage at the bottom of your nose, if they would've gone through the sweet spot, it wouldn't have hurt so much. but if it's well healed and you're happy with it, there's no reason to get it redone :) i found you because i'm stretching my ears and i love your content! (ps i'm also vegan)
I’m no expert but that was pierced at the wrong angle. It shouldn’t stick out when you smile, it should be higher up (the inside hole) and further back. At this angle now, you will have the edge of the flat back disc rubbing against your teeth and gums which is pretty bad.
it was pierced right, she has a very long bar in so it wouldn’t matter how it was pierced it’s still going to show because its used for swelling, when she switches it out for smaller you wont see it again
