Hello Can you please tell me what is the difference between Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket £133 and Rab Microlight Alpine Insulated Jacket £175 I have send this massage to Rab and didnt get any answers from them.
Hi Frenk, it would appear that the obvious difference is the price! The official name for the product is Rab Microlight Alpine Jacket, you may have seen it advertised differently. I hope that helps. Paul.
@@trekitt Thanks I can send you a links on private they have also different description and technical information so I dont know .... The same happens with Electron jacket one is Pro one is without Pro lol
@@JesusKingBro It sounds like you're viewing last season's product (the cheaper one) and this season's (the more expensive one). The old one will be discounted to make room for all the new ones. The Electron Pro is also the newer version for this winter.
@@trekitt Thank u for your effort I think that I wont see any difference if I buy last year model .... You should make some video once Last year model vs New one.
Down leakage is common amongst all down filled products, especially when new. But it does settle down (excuse the pun) as the garment ages. Rab have written a good article on the subject - support-uk.rab.equipment/hc/en-us/articles/115004247865-Is-your-jacket-leaking-down- Thanks for watching. Paul.
Reviewer says that armholes are not elasticated. According to the Rab website, the armholes are supposed to be elasticated. Have just bought one and the armholes are not fitting nicely, they are gaping, so it has to go back. I notice there is a comment below from Paul that it's big around arms/shoulders, so maybe this is an ongoing problem? Rab gilet armholes used to fit very well, the elastic used to be great.
It's not an item we stock anymore I'm afraid, but it's a little like this in terms of weight and warmth: www.trekitt.co.uk/clothing/jackets/rab-mens-nexus-pull-on-black__39107
Hi Paddy, I suspect that those rumours are just...rumours. The microlight is just as warm as before and there is no discernible difference in the loft. Paul.
@@martinfretwell when done properly recycled down can be as good if not better in some cases than virgin down. You should look into the process and what's involved as you would be surprised.

@@trekitt Thankyou! I shall order today!
I bought this other week in beluga colour bit big round the arms/shoulders but I like it.
Good choice and I'm sure that it will serve you well. Paul.
Rumour has it it’s not as warm as last years, because the down, being recycled has slightly less loft....! Is that true...?

Recycled down mmmmmmm money saving not passes on to the customer. Can,t be as good as new No chance.

@@rcole134 I'll have a look .I've got one of these jackets and it's good but too expensive and most end up hung on chairs in london offices.
@@martinfretwell It can be worth looking into just to educate oneself, even if the value proposition sits on the expensive side.
