Complete Chronology of Lineal Middleweight Champions - The Man Who Beat The Man
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 22 ноя 2023
- The lineal championship is considered by many to be the true title to hold. The man who beat the man. Dating all the way back to the first true champion and carried through to the current reigning lineal champ. An attempt to make sense of the muddled mess of the sanctioning bodies and the Alphabet titles. From the first middleweight champion to ever hold the title, Jack Dempsey, to the current lineal middleweight title holder (At least until someone unifies) Canelo Alvarez. Relive every exciting moment in the reign of some of boxings greatest warriors. From Sugar Ray Robinson, Marvin Hagler, Monzon, Leonard, Dempsey, and the raging bull himself. The knockouts, the comebacks, the upsets, and everything in between, this video tries to paint as complete a picture as possible of the line of champions, from beginning to present day.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for this Thanksgiving present!
I'm thankful for this channel
Carlos Monzon got be the next legend story that got to tell brother
Happy thanksgiving
Thank you so much for all these videos! Thankful for all sport uploads yet the boxing are by far my favorite! Phenomenal!
you're the *lineal champion* of these RUclips docs about boxing. you haven't missed, yet.
You can say that again
@@kman8can
I would agree with this statement except I would at sports all together I am a combat guy myself but all of his docs are brilliantly presented. Thank you sir we all appreciate you
I totally agree!! Joseph Vincent is absolutely the best!!
Agreed.
Can’t wait until he sort of has to do Jake Paul.
“Well, this happened…. I guess it’s time to talk about it.”
Tyson: Perfect Timing!
Damn, Sugar Ray Robinson was a beast!! 40-1 to 129-1-2..That's legendary!!
5 times midleweingh champion as well. He was the most perfect boxing machine on this planet
Best there has ever been.
@@dexocubeSalvador Sánchez is the GOAT!
@@apachedr34 Died too young, but he was special
@@apachedr34can you imagine in fantasy Salvador Sanchez jumping up to welterweight to fight Robinson. - FANTASY FIGHT
Bro please do this for every weight class this shit is so damn interesting
I def want to see one for the Welterweights
Glad you gave Hagler the respect he deserves. Dude was champ for over six years... and can you imagine how long he would've been champ had he not been first ducked, and then ripped off by the judges? And never knocked down. What a monster....
He defended the middleweight championship 12 times, why would he not be in the video?
Welterweights & middleweights have the greatest assimilation of legendary fighters in boxing history. So many talented fighters but then there's the ones who're God gifted
Your work is impeccable. Great clips and accurate reporting. The standard of excellence!
All those professional , amature or just boxing fans who dismiss the Lineal title as inexistent or frivolous should watch this! it is an outstanding accolade.
Yet another awsome vid JV, thank you.
Anyone who would dismiss the lineal champion pedigrees / “genealogy” is already a nobody who’s opinion , means *ABSOLUTELY* nothing, & WHO CAN SAFELY BE IGNORED AS AN *IGNORANT F00L !¡!*
Even I know / feel / sense this and I basically know nothing about boxing - besides great informational RUclips videos such as this !
Mixed martial arts fans do that a lot and I would know...especially the toxic Dana White loving Jon Jones fans that were dismissing the notion Lineal title when Ngannou fought Fury for a chance at double Lineal Champion
That is why I don't count the IBF or WBO titles they were just plucked out of the air ! It is good for the boxers, think if there was only 1 champ defending once or twice a year, lots of guys would never get a shot
Hope we get a welterweight lineal champ video. Great work as always joe!
Monzons knockout reel is stunning , he didn't just KO his opponents he knocked their souls out the ring , they looked brutal.
I wouldn't be opposed to JV doing a documentary on him! Although, considering his "actions", he might not.
Monzon is criminally underrated except by Marvin Hagler who said a fight between them would be 50/50.
@@zionnewkirk4838there's a pretty good one by rich the fight historian
@@jbagger331'criminally'. But seriously that would have been a brilliant fight
His knockout reel of all the women in his life is also brutal, fucking trash human being.
Thomas '' The Hitman '' Hearns' first step to 5 titles in 6 different categories . What a legend!
That's dope
Motor city 🐍
The fights between hearns, hagler and Leonard were unbelievable. The only time I saw that kind of violence in a fight after was gatti/ward.
@@Kunfucious577 Thomas Hearns' Voice 🗣️ : Waaaaaaaaar
Weightbully.
Plain and simple
Incredible. Nobody does it like Joe Vincent!! Thank you
Hagler vs Leonard is the fight that made my dad stop watching big-time boxing. He'll watch small club fights, but that's it. He still says to this day that the corruption and the robberies have ruined the sport. I agree with him. Hagler was robbed in that fight, and boxing now has become a joke, unfortunately. My dad boxed for 23 years. I boxed for 17 years. It's definitely not the same sport it once was.
Never was? It always corrupt. It’s been corrupt since the early 1900s
What was your weight class?
@@joeyboikly I mean I thought Hagler was robbed vs Vito Antuofermo
Hate to say it as Hagler is my 2nd favorite boxer ever behind Ali but he lost Sugar Ray Leonard that night 115-113 imho, it was close, arguably a draw but he lost
@@nick94nw My dad fought at 74kg - middleweight.
I fought at 81kg - light heavyweight.
My dad's record was 39-9-1. 22 wins by KO.
My record was 26-7-2. 14 wins by KO.
Neither of us was ever going to set the boxing world on fire, but we both enjoyed the game.
I don't know a huge amount about the history of boxing pre 80s really , I've heard of Sugar Ray Robinson but never seen too much of him , this was perfect to get a glimpse of him , guy was a class act as well as one of the best , humbly went over to congratulate the new champ in a points loss , that's class.
That Lamotta win was one sided , this is Jake Lamotta another legend , yet against Robinson you would think he hadn't had many fights Robinson was that good.
Some of the KOs from the old 20's and 30s footage is quality , doesn't matter the era , a quality KO punch will shine in black and white or 4k
Need a full monzon vid, his story is brutal
Yeah beating women is brutal I agree.
@@QenaitheCustodianGuard Makes for good story telling, he murdered her btw
@@pagatron504 for sure makes for a good story, he was a good boxer as well. He was just an evil son of a bitch outside the ring.
I wasn’t expecting this video but I a, highly satisfied and content with it !
I thought you may have only done /cared about the heavyweight division.
However, other weight classes can be just as amazing !
Thanks for the excellent content *JOEBRO!¡!*
This is what the people needed and thus it was delivered. Thanks mate!
Amazing drop for thanksgiving. Thankful for you and your content JV
Thankful for the insane quality of videos consistently over the years
my ultimate end-all-be-all dream fight is Hagler vs. GGG. two guys who hit VERY hard. and also seemingly cannot be hurt and never get tired.
That's a true dream match
Same. I’ve always said this also
why isnt GGG on this list?
@@ErcSpieler he never was lineal champion, since he technically never beat Canelo

thank you Joseph Vincent i fully enjoyed the video absolutely brilliant
Perfect Timing!! Watchin this right now on Thanksgiving waiting on everyone to get here. GREAT HOLIDAY SHOW!! Perfect Timing!
Thanks for your enormous work ! And respect for all these boxers

Unreal back to back videos man absolutely love these boxing vids on the lineal championships by weight class
Awesome. came to youtube to watch your Lineal HW vid and seen this just out. gonna watch it now. very much appreciated. hope to see one on all the traditional weight classes!
Watching this in installments I'm enjoying it so much. Well done on this video
amazing video bro. your content has always been peak
Thank you for dropping this on thanksgiving
Great Doc as always thank you!
Amazing job . Both videos are amazing
These films are so well put together. I really enjoy watching them. Another great video. Keep it up
Janibek might be our new hope for the lineal middleweight now.
I hope Janibek challenges Canelo down the line, that would really cement him as the true lineal champion if he wins
Love it! Thanks, JV
This is clearly my favourite youtube chanel for a good reason
Hey Joe ! I love your channel big dawg! 💯 Keep up the good work
The timbre and tone of Tommy Ryan's voice is just magical. 'I've often been asked what's the difference between now and then? The difference is, in my time you had to knock a man out to win the championship.' and he delivered it matter of fact-ly. As if to say, 'This was a different sport in my time, kid. You wouldn't understand anything about that world.'
PS. Just based on the voice, it's a damn shame nobody made a movie about him with Joe Pesci in it.
Beautiful. Keep em' coming for ALL the weight divisions.
Your videos are some of the best editing and content. Love them. Please do heavyweight lineal champions
I love your videos!!
Ooh! Thanks for this, Joseph!
Excellent video
Thank you….you are the best🎯💯

Another One You On Fire 🔥
just dropping dimes this thanksgiving !
Eating a big plate of food while watching a new JV upload!
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
J.V. LEGEND great video!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
Now this Thanksgiving day is complete. It's unfortunate that Charlo isn't putting his middleweight belt on the line this weekend, he's not cut from the same cloth as most of these champions.
Boxing is the only sport I believe where it's pretty clear that the guys from the 60s to the 90s are better than the athletes today. Take the top 10 fighters of nearly any decade from those times and face the guys from 2000 and on and the older guys would absolute rinse them. 🤷🏾♂️
You're documentaries are just amazing! By far my favorite boxing channel. So well put together and researched
Your content is undefeated. It's certainly better than the network documentaries. I'm fairly sure I've watched all your stuff once, and quite a few of them many times.
In all honesty, the Kobe and Muhammad Ali docs legitimately got me teary eyed, and choked up. Those are two of my favorites. I revisit them from time to time.
BOOM PERFECT TIMING
Love every boxing video you do mate 👍 they're so good i even watch some of the non boxing because the quality is that good and interesting.
Dick Tiger vs Spider Webb
Surely the greatest names in boxing history 👏
Man!! Great job.
I would love to see you do the greatest welterweights of all time documentary that will blow
Wow! Perfect timing!😂
Thanks for the great review
Perfect day for you to drop this this all my uncles around me that love boxing time to argue about legacies and who beats who lol
What a brutal but great opening. Love for all my Puerto Rican Fighters 🇵🇷
I'm thankful for Joseph Vincent!
this series is top notch.
Thank you Mr.Vincent!
Glad you did this on middleweights. Everyone talks about heavyweight when discussing the lineal championship but nobody really talks about the other weight classes.
Awesome video, nothing but the best as always. If possible please do a video on Andre Ward and Joe Calzaghe 🙏🏻
Dick Tiger leaving an impression is funny as hell to me 😂 Great Video as ALWAYS 💪🏾💪🏾

Sugar ray Robinson is really the best middleweight of all-time
I thought Robinson was the best welterweight honestly
@@nick94nwit is said he was at his best a ww it’s just a pity there’s little to no footage of that part of his career.Such a phenomenon that even outside his apparent best weight and rumoured to be at his best he’s still goated

Fantastic work buddy. So good with all the fight footage & editing. I'm a Brit & I was there live when Marvin smashed the title from Minter. A disgrace that the National Front & other militants marred the occasion & denied Marvin to be crowned in the ring. Great work.! Bless 👊
Makes me cringe every time I see it. Basically the same kind of knuckle draggers who tried to "defend" the Cenotaph the other week, by starting a riot.
Mugs.
Marvelous Marvin Hagler is the ⭐poud For Pound ⭐ middleweight champion of the world 👑👑👑👑
Next Monzon who actually retired as middleweight undisputed champion on one to never do that and left a 81 undefeated streak going back 1966-1977 Hagler had an opportunity to fight Monzons but lost twice in 1976 thus Monzon took the more difficult stop ranked Valdez as his final fight in 1977. Valdez himself was a two time middleweight champion and undisputed champion. If not for Monzon Valdez would have been one of all time greats. Valdez losses in prime were to Monzon. Hagler decisioned a faded Bennie Brisco by decision Monzon had two electric fights with Brisco in Brisco primes and Valdez koed Brisco. Valdez was one best middleweights of all time coming in at 27 of rankings for a comp Roy jones jr was 17. Understand middleweight deepest division in boxing history leonardcorchearns are not even top 50!in middleweights. You need fight several fights in a weight class for consideration Tommy was ranked at super middleweight and light heavyweight and welter Leonard welter and jr middleweight
It’s so freaking crazy this video comes out right when I’m
Looking up the best middle weights because I’m a middle weight and I’m looking for people to look up to..and competition for when I get in there
Good video
Love it!! 🔥🔥
There seems to be some editing issues. Some of the clips are missing the knockout or other key event, and then seem to jump ahead. FYI.
Otherwise, love your stuff!
Hagler was a physical specimen. He was in amazing shape.
Him and Holyfield were some of the best conditioned boxers of all time, just shredded to the bone.
Thank you !!
Another banger
Wooooow wowowo wow people wished❤ and you delivered what a goat dokumentarin
Always always always coming with the 🔥🔥🔥 don’t stop brother man
25:12 Aside from The Brown Bomber’s win over Max at the start of WW2 no fight hit me in the feels & was more than just another prize fight than Hagler’s win in Wembley that night. Shameful the crowd didn’t even let the strap go around his waist after earning it in brutal fashion.
That was a very painful
