  • I will show you how to make this delicious Khmer dessert using a different kind of cooking pan. Instead of using the cup or kitchen gadget from Cambodia, you can use a small cupcake pan. Please watch the video to see step by step. Thank you.

    yeast 1 spoonful
    corn starch 1/2 cup
    sugar 1 cup
    salt 1 tsp
    coconut milk 1 can
    warm water 1 1/2 cup
    shredded coconut small bowl (optional)
Coconut Cream: (Bopha's very own recipe)

Hi Bopha & Jonathan's! thank you for sharing your recipe . it look really good , but I have a question on your yeast 1 spoonful is that a Table spoon or what kind of spoon ? and why do we remove the foam ? and how long do you steam it for ? I hope you don't I ask those question . I'm looking forward to making this .

Thank you. Yeast is 1 spoonful. If you don't remove the foam, it will not raise during cooking. If you use the cupcakes pan it should take only 3 minutes. You can use a chopstick n poke inside, if there're dry then its done. If you use the cup from Cambodia then it might take 7 to 8 minutes.

Yes, you can freeze them for a long time, especially with a freezer bag. Not sure exactly how long, but they do last a long time.
