I’m guessing the Giants view Posey similar to John Lynch at the Niners. Former player with no GM experience but was able to build a champion caliber team.
MLB needs to reconsider their playoffs. A division winner should not be in elimination game after 1 game. Just to accommodate more wild cards. Division winners should all go into a best of 5.
