The women wrestling is what brought me back wrestling....but do this day I believe Kofi vs Bryan should have main evented. Story was better, match was better. Grown men were crying in the audience when Kofi won the title it was something truly speical...btw we never got that Kofi vs Ali match
I would've agreed with you had this been before Mania 35. By the time we actually got to the main event, the show had been going for almost or over 5 hours. For me, I think it was past 11, and I was barely awake. At that point, I just wanted the show to end so I could go to sleep.

This is one of those injuries that luckily didn't end a career, but certainly derailed it, and it's just one of those unfortunate things that can happen in wrestling. It was an accident, it was no one's fault. It's part of the risk. I remember saying at the time that I felt like Ali was meant to be in Kofi's spot. I wonder if they'd have gone all the way with the push and put the strap on him, like they did with Kingston, or if they'd just have him come very close to it. That in itself would have helped established his legitimacy on the main roster. For Kofi, I think maybe it was just a perfect moment in time; lightning in a bottle. Lightning that they wasted when they had him drop the belt to Lesnar so cheaply. But just think, without this concussion we may also have been spared that awful Retribution angle.
honestly the problem with Kofimania was that it was the 1 time WWE pandered to the fans only for the fans to prove Vince right about them not knowing what they want and that they shouldn't be pandered to because once Kofi had his mania moment his booking went bad and nothing good came of the title run hence why LA Knight never got his push that was rumored for ages and why no other mid-card act outside of Jey Uso got a major push

Organic story until WM30, but then Bryan got injured a couple of months later and had to vacated the title. Doesn't change the Yes Movement story being looked back on positively.
